His role in stargate was really good aswell
Don't forget Home alone " you been screwing with everyone even Jeff!"
No pennywise is the best
Tim Curry's performance in Rocky Horror is just perfect. I will never get over it. It's one of those movies where even if other characters are talking, you have to watch what Tim's doing, or you'll miss something truly amazing.
I KNOW!! If I look away I'm guaranteed to miss a good laugh!!
Fun fact- when Rocky horror was being made into a film several prominent actors showed interest in playing Frank N Furter-including Mick Jagger-but they decided to stay with Curry. Who else could be funny yet scary? Sexy yet evil?
He is what legends aspire to be.
you just have to watch him every second..all the sweet little details ❤️
His facial expressions were spot on
That role almost killed his entire acting career...
Such an underrated actor
Hardly, He's in everything. I bet that in 20 years you'll be watching a movie or tv show and still say "Oh, that sounds like Tim Curry" only to look it up and it is/was.
Trust me!
Absolutely. He´s a very good actor but underrated (unfortunately)
Tim Curry is a national treasure
Yeah. I love him so much, and I see you do, too
Not really... everyone loves him..
Tim Curry is legend. Love that dude.
Me too bro

He is one of the best Character Actors
I certainly expect Tim Curry to go down in history as one of the greatest actors of all time. He is simply wonderful.
And where the hell is Nigel Thornberry?!
Jack Is Back exactly
Jack Is Back watch the other top ten list on Tim Curry.
Good question..
I was thinking the same thing
Beat me to it!
Tim Curry is iconic. Not only is he a brilliant actor, he is also a great singer. Love him
Only man who could wear lipstick, a corset, fishnets and stilettos, sing about being a "sweet transvestite" and still make me sweat.
what's wrong with what he wears and being a tranvestite tho lol

Nailed it ! Rocky Horror #1 and It #2 ! Some may not realize just how good Tim is at acting and singing! He’s really is Hall Of Fame worthy!!
One thing I love about Tim is he throws himself into any role and he plays it so well whether it’s a villain role or just voice acting you can tell he’s an amazing actor either way
Anything that has Tim Curry in it absolutely rocks! He's an amazing actor that can literally pull off any role that's thrown his way.
Booooooooo!! Booooooo!!
It was on ABC and he guest star on Rosanne which was on ABC.
Frankly Scarlett I don’t give a

I DONT LIKE BEING CALLED OUT AAAHH
it was so true tho highkey
@@minteaskullz same, I thought I was the biggest weirdo pervert for having a crush on Frank N furter. Now at this age i'm a proud pansexual
I feel called out
just met him at a comic con today and i feel so bad about his condition and that he had to take pictures for hours . he was a phenomenal actor and i forever wish him the best
And if you want your heart broken over how sweet the poor man is with fans, see him interacting online with them when he's too ill to attend in person. What a guy.
@@teslagirl1 Tim Curry is one of those actors, alongside Mark Hamill, who knows how much his roles and performances mean to fans and will entertain them.
Other actors hate being typecast. Tim Curry leans into how absolutely flamboyant and bizarre his characters are and has absolute fun with them.
wow u met him i love rocky horror reallly do ive played in it

I saw the end and i think the rain might not really be the blame
So I'll remove the cause, but not the symptom!

There was literally no other option for the top pick
Damn Right Dr. Frank N Furter is number 1. He created that role and will always have it. This is the best top 3 I've ever seen.
Did you know that Tim Curry hated that role?
Raven J. he did?
Iris Strange Apparently he's totally embarrassed by it.
Wow I didn't know that
Raven J. i didn't know that. but it doesn't seem like him. he did it for so long in london and then again in the movie. hm. :/ I know Susan Sarandon originally was embarrassed of it but now she embraces it but i never expected that from Tim.
In 1975 I was in high school when Rocky Horror came out . Dressing in costume and taking our bag of interacting trinkets to the midnight madness shows is an awesome part of my childhood memories . Tim Curry always will be fabulous!!❤
Making a "pilgrimage" to the midnight showing of RHPS was a rite of passage when I was in college. You had to go (in costume of course) on the Halloween before you graduated or none of the other seniors would speak to you again until after graduation. 😂
Such an underrated actor! He should always be given credit no matter if the movie is great or trash.
It and Rocky Horror. Straight up CLASSICS!
Don't forget about Clue. A classic in its own right.
rocky horror is my favourite movie ever!

He does the most versatile and creative characters. It’s just how talented he is
What _a_ Voice! Seeing him as Frank N Furter really was lifechanging.
Just in time for his 71st birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM CURRY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH 😍 😘 🤗 💕
It was fucking awesome to meet the man at a Fan Expo. :D
Jason Jones wish I could have the honor of meeting Tim Curry in person. I doubt it very much that I will ever get to meet him 😢
KiwiBaby1988 wait his 71? fr
Leo Gonzalez Yes, Tim Curry is in fact 71.
KiwiBaby1988 I
Tim Curry is the true Pennywise from IT.
100% True
just remember its been about 27 years since the original movie
It's going to be hard to beat him
You really can't say that since the new one isn't out yet. The new one might be good, we don't know yet.
Considering there has only ever been 1 IT movie, it stands to reason he is LOL
So happy you included his performance on Criminal Minds. He was truly amazing playing Billy Flynn
One of my favorite!
between The Wild Thornberrys, Rocky Horror Picture Show and IT, Tim Curry is extremely talented. No one can convince me otherwise. No man can Scar me as a child from a killer clown, in the same sense and make my childhood by being the voice of one of my favorite TV dads & as an adult, being a character who I come to adore. 🥰
Only found out the other day he played the father in the wild Thornberrys drove me mad for years trying to guess who it was
Legend will forever be my favorite movie, loved it as a kid and still love it just as much. Curry is perfect as Darkness.
LordKohaegan totally a fav! i remember thinking "if i was that girl, i would dance with him forever!" he has a way of making even the most evil character charismatic and charming.
while i wasnt a fan of Legend as a kid (due to it being a love story more than an action/fantasy flick) i grew to love it and Tim Curry playing as Darkness definitely was what won me over.
I thought Charlie Murphy played that role better.
My next tattoo..Lord of Darkness. :)
Happy birthday tim curry
I love his role in Rocky Horror, but I can't how many times I've seen Clue. He turns in an amazing performance that is genuine escapism.
He’s a scene stealer no matter how big the role and he’s got that energy in every one of them
Tim is so incredibly talented, but so underrated. He's worked so hard over the last 40 years and more, he always gives 100% in all of his work. I'm just wondering how he hasn't been knighted by the Queen yet to become SIR Tim Curry because he's a legend in his own right -and very sexy too-
agreed
Tim is a LEGEND!
You can never forget Tim Curry's great acting.
I love Tim Curry, wonderful actor and human. ❤️
Tim Curry is one of the best actors ever!!!
I agree, but right behind Gary Oldman!!! JS... 😉👌🏻

I could listen to Tim Curry reading the phone book to me and enjoy it. I would love to see him take on the "Scrooge" role in "A Christmas Carol."
James Schrumpf, I hope you read this... Tim Curry narrated the audiobooks of the Dune series prequels. By Brian Herbert, they only seem to be available on cassette. There are two versions of the audiobooks, the second one is read by someone else, as a head's up. I bought them off amazon. Even if sci-fi isn't your thing, it's Tim Curry! He does an awesome job. I hope you see this :-)
He played Scrooge in the Broadway musical of 'A Christmas Carol' back in the late 90's/ early 2000s. I saw him give a performance of that musical's song 'God Bless us Everyone' with its cast at the Macy's Parade some years ago.
Adamguy2003 I saw him in 2001 playing Scrooge. He was amazing.
He also did a series of unfortunate events
His act as IT is just legendary
PennyWise is a legend
Just like Curry
His role as Darkness in legend haunted my childhood dreams as I loved the movie and watched it frequently. The final scene with him being expelled into oblivion was captivating even though it scared the crap out of me, I could not turn away.
I have that movie legend and I watched it over and over and moreovers and you could count I love Tim Curry I always have and I'm 67
Such a brilliant movie
I was the same with. IT and USED Be afired OF DR FRANK BUT THOSE FLIMS BECAME MY favourite films

Tim's such a brilliant performer; I'm still hoping that one of these days he's going to leap out of his wheelchair and shout "HA! Fooled you! I TOLD you guys I could act!" [We love ya, Tim!]
That's such a SWEET COMMENT that I don't know whether to laugh or cry. So I think I'll do both. (Love ya, Elli P!)
oh my goodness, we can only hope that someday he will 😭
Damn Tim Curry is charismatic.
Run! Run for your life!
Or else the carishma will infect you too
Honestly...Him voice acting Hexus makes me feel some sort of way...and it still does
Tim Curry is an amazing actor! He never disappoints in any character he takes on.
Finally!
Curry is always a ton of fun on screen.
I think the only time he did not play a villain was in 'the shout'. he would have been cast in clockwork orange if not for rocky horror. imagine if they put off production till he was free. 'clockwork orange' would have been completely different.
la pace sia con voi he was Nigel thornberry
i think its more fun to eat then see
Remyfox819, not in Home Alone 2. 4 the reason Y and how the INFURIATED mother slapped his face.
Tim Curry is in a movie, INSTANT cult classic for sure! One of the best actors in my opinion.
I remember him from Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost as a Stephen King type of author who turns out to be in on the actual plot. Was not even an honorable mention....
Came to say the same thing
He was also in Scooby-Doo and The Goblin King
i love his smile so much
I love Curry.
Top of a very short list of actors who deserve an oscar but sadly will never have one.
hes wayyyyyy to good for an oscar, the oscar doesnt deserve gems like him :)
Tim has & always will be my most favourite actor of all time. Just adore him. He makes me proud to be British 🥰🥰🥰
I’ve seen so many Tim Curry performances. He’s never disappointed. He’s always been bigger than anything else in the scene always adding, never detracting.
Wadsworth the Butler in “Clue” was one of his most hilarious roles ever!
Puzzle Peace Gaming I agree, this was so funny!
Yes and in The Worst Witch from the 1980s
yes
We all knew what the #1 and 2 spots were gunna be. :)
I thought #1 was going to be Bill
I can't believe Clue was number 3, he wasn't even in the top 2, I guess top 3 is good enough.
PvtGermanWagz yup
I thought number 1 would be wadsworth
I knew he wasn't gonna make the top 2 for that one,so I was hoping for #3. Easily my favourite role of his.
I love Tim Curry's face on my screen, when he walks into a scene, actors, what other actors.....
Every role no matter how big or small is iconic... ❤
Love Tim Curry. He could make even the dullest roles glisten... and gleam.
One TC gem worth mentioning is his performance as a charismatic, morally ambiguous DJ in 1980's Times Square. The movie is mostly forgotten nowadays but my friends and I went to it just to see him.
Its astounding. Time is fleeting.
As madness. Takes its toll.

There several great roles that were missed. I still think he is probably the most overlooked actors of our time. He is one of the best, his talent to make a character literally come alive and be believable is uncanny.
Yasss! His roles in Annie and Home Alone 2 made it! I was first introduced to Tim’s acting in those roles growing up and I absolutely love his acting/singing as Rooster. ❤️😊
His so good with his voice speach and musical vocals and his face is so expressive in roles ...his very entertaining you never could take eyes off his well played rolls.his a master of work ,if he ever said he was unconfident or made mistakes no one would know it his that good .👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇦🇺💕

Ugh, Frank is by far better than penny wise. That clown gives me the creeps
And thus you now understand the talent that is Tim Curry.
I've been trying to make a Movie Bucket List, and I really want to add the Rocky Horror Picture Show to it. Should I?
Yes omg yessss!
I make a note to watch it at least once a month, it's one of those movies where each time you watch you always catch something brilliant that you missed before. It's been my favorite movie since I saw it for the first time. If you haven't watched it already, this is your sign!!!
My fav movie of all time I got it as a present and dead ass cried.
Travis Cummings . Most definitely. But the first time ABSOLUTELY MUST be in a packed theatre. The music is sensational, but audience participation is what really puts the movie over the top.
Hell ya!
I forgot he was in Home Alone 2. But I am super happy you had both Annie and Muppet Treasure Island on the list. Curry is one of my all time favorite actors.
This man is seriously underrated. *Seriously*.
With all his amazing career and roles, he only won like 3 "minor" awards.....unbelievable.
I agree. And it really sucks.
WHERE THE FUCK IS NIGEL THORNBERRY

"Clue" was his Tim Curriest role ever.
Always loved Tim Curry! He is one of the most underrated actor ever!
Poor Tim had a stroke and is now in a wheel chair. A true chameleon actor who can bend and disguise himself in almost any role, similar to Gary Oldman.
David Hatcher Really. I'm not sure if he'll be able to make any more appearances in live-action/animated films, due to his condition.
But he' s doing better now.still in a wheelchair but he can talk good again (not as before) .
Nane Stoe That's a relief!
Man I just found this out today, when I saw a video of him answering questions and speaking at a comic con just recently, of sorts. Very sad to see him in that condition.
FERNGULLY!!! YES!!! One of the only movies I watch waiting with excitement for the musicals!!!! Batty and Hexxus are my childhood!
Tim is an iconic legend. He's never failed at any role. And he has an amazing heart. King.
Edit: thank you for including wadsworth. I used to watch it on repeat as a child.

Tim curry is a legendary hollywood actor :)
Damn right!

I love Tim Curry in everything and anything possible.
I first saw him on the London stage before he moved to the US in a musical. He moved over with the musical and was just as good in the US. A hell of a great actor.
Sir Tim Curry is (or was) a theatrical genius! It's such a shame that he suffered a stroke. He is brilliant in everything he is in.
True fact: "Legend" being a movie about a forest boy saving a princess from a demon makes it closet thing to live action Zelda movie we're gonna get.
That also means Tim Curry is Gannondorf.
That would also make "Legend" the best video game movie ever made.
Ooohhh shit wow
Was that movie really based of the game? It would make so much sense
Now I need a live action LoZ movie with Tim Curry as Gannondorf

Tim Curry Is The Motherfucking Man!!!!
I first became aware of Tim Curry's career from my favorite Don Bluth animated film "The Pebble and the Penguin" as Drake. Loved his performance in Muppet Treasure Island, Jimmy Neutron tv series, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, and Rocky Horror.
Tim Curry is one of the greatest actors in the world and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975) is his best movie! This is Luke Mooney and I am the biggest Tim Curry fan EVER!!!
This man deserves an Oscar for his life achievments.
I see a Tim Curry video, i click 'til the button's broken.
To me Tim Curry is more than just a talented character actor. He's one of the most underrated actors of all time.
It seemed Tim Curry was the voice of nearly every 90s cartoon baddie...(and the occasional goodie; I'm looking at you, Nigel Thornberry). Whatever the part, that voice is unmistakeable. As I got older, I was able to know and love him as Frank N Furter, but Legend's Darkness was my first and benchmark experience of his acting power. Amazing guy.
It is Literally IMPOSSIBLE To FORGET ANY Of His Roles!!!!
I first grew to love Tim Curry when he played Hexxus. So glad his Grand Wizard part got an honorable mention! I love him in Rocky as well.
nigel thornberry shoulda been on the list.
Michael Medina cares
Because that performance was nothing short of absolutely smashing!
So did King Arthur in Spamalot

It took me awhile to hear about him. I never saw him until he guest starred on Criminal Minds. But one thing i will say is after those 2 episodes were over the first thing i said was "damn that guy is a great villain". Now that I've seen more of his movies i can confidently say he's the best villain to ever appear on a screen.
