I remember crushing out on Tim when he was in a BBC production about Shakespeare in the 1970s (on ABC Australia). Then RHPS. Was disappointed when I saw Times Square & he'd turned quite middle aged. Sigh. But always a decent actor & singer, even if I only saw a few of his performances after that. RHPS will always have a place in my ❤️.

@@deepseasnailfish Well, I might not have even been 21 at the time. And whereas he might have been doing these roles over, say, 10 years, I may have seen them over the space of 2 or 3 years without knowing this. I may have also thought in RHPS he looked like he was born in 1956 or thereabouts (when I saw it about 1980), not 1946.

True story. When I was young I went to RHPS live production in a local theatre. It had many of the original cast, including Tim Curry. At the show I was one of the few who sat right up the front, and when Tim chased his creation, Tim stopped, looked at me, sat on my lap and pretended to kiss me (his hand was over my mouth), AND then winked at me on stage! I remember the first time I saw RHPS I was 6 years old and I couldn't sleep, my older brother was watching it on TV so I watched it with him not knowing what it was about, I just loved the music. My mom caught us and started chewing out my brother. He told her to relax I didn't know what was going on, then he gave me a look and said 'well she might know now.' I had to wait until I was of age to watch it again lol. But always will love this version above any others.

A film full of fun, joy and happiness.. Continue to make me smile and laugh forever and ever. Even my now grown children caught the RHPS Bug.

Omg it would've been freaking epic af to be there when Richard O'Brien introduced Tim Curry and he walked up talking about how he is the only one there that doesn't look like him.
It breaks my heart every time I see Tim now he was my first childhood crush when he played Rooster in Annie, that was my favorite movie as a kid in the 80s and he is still one of my all time favorite actors being in my all time favorite movie Rocky Horror Picture Show, I saw it in the early 90s when I started high school and have been a die hard fan since the very first viewing. What I wouldn't give to be able to meet any or as many of the stars of this movie, I'd die a happy person.
    DON'T DREAM IT... BE IT

First let me wipe the tears from my eyes. At the very end she says ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and they all say TIM CURRY made me cry what a guy. Saw this on my 18th birthday ( now 64yrs old) had to go back the next weekend too convince myself I had seen what I saw, and I WAS HOOKED. Best scene in the entire movie for me is when Frankenfurter comes down in the elevator until he goes back up. Fan me off, give me a cigarette and I'm good, don't even need to see the rest of the movie, but of course I do.BIG BIG BIG FAN FOR LIFE!!!!

I'm a bass player. I've playerd bass in the pit orchestra in a few local theater groups' productions. I never really liked the music all that much (and I've done Fiddler on the Roof to Cabaret, to Chicago, etc.), but I always loved the RHPS soundtrack. Finally, a few years back, One of the theater groups decided to do RHPS and asked if I was interested. We had a pretty good band, and I got to play the entire sold out run, and to this day, it has been one of the highlights of my "career".

skeeter197140, a slight correction, if I may. If the theater group was doing it, they were doing RHS (Rocky Horror Show), the stageplay. RHPS was only the movie.

Awesome, thank you for reminding me of something that had such a profound effect on my life, that I actually referenced it in my Senior eulogy quote for the yearbook! We only had like, 75 or 100 characters to sum up -in total, our high school years. So we abbreviated everything, didn't use spaces or punctuation etc.,&it was tough to squeeze in everything that meant something to us. So for me to include RHPS, you know it had to be important to me! Part of my senior memory/eulogy read: RHPS Pas! (A friend from school who introduced me to RHPS).. I used to have the whole soundtrack on cassette & I still love the music from it.. & I'm 56!
