Carving off the surrounding plastic of the rear of the safety area worked well (for me), for using the stock lever. Then a natural 45 degree forward sweep of the thumb works easily, yet its unlikely the safety will be erroneously flipped on, or off during carry.

I carried with the standard safety for a while, but I practiced and trained with it - a lot. But nothing beats the feel of a 1911-type safety. Thanks for watching.

You inspired me to look into adding a safety to my M&P 2.0.. In another video I saw that there are tabs that come out of the frame to add an ambi safety. I bought 3 parts for $30 and the safety went in very easily. I feel much better about carrying it now because it has an Apex trigger that is very short and light, much like my 1911s.

Man... that punch anvil needs a piece of leather glued to it.
Traction plus protects the finish of these beautiful weapons.
Also takes the bounce out of those hammer strikes.

I needed to tweak mine a little with a heat gun, but not a big deal.

Easy just use a hair dryer and a pencil or pen to shape a tunnel in the kydex. Takes about 10 minutes.

Not exactly an easy install as say, an
extended slide release lever on a Glock. Any regrets?
