Timely video. I’ve been thinking about one of these. A friend of mine owns a gun shop and has access to virtually any pistol that he wants and this is his chosen carry gun. Always, thank you for the video.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Excellent review Rider. Enjoyed it all
As always, thanks for watching.
Awesome, exact gun I was looking at putting together, like the thumb safety since I carry 1911/2011’s
I'll be doing a video on a new extended thumb safety for the P365 in the very near future. It is much more 1911-like than the stock P365 safety.
I love mine. WC grips, WC 3oz weights, Holosun 407k. The gun is fast, accurate, and great fun to shoot. The only downside is the cost of 380 ammo. Also, my 9mm sig mags have worked perfectly in the 380.
I do like this gun, and like you, I always want a thumb safety. I think .380 is a great caliber for this size of gun. I've had to practice quite a bit to shoot this accurately due to its small size.
Thanks for watching and adding your thoughts.
Good review as always. Love Dragonman. He's got a really good life! He never fails to say always carry a spare mag!
Dragonman (Mel Bernstein) has a really cool collection (open to the public), but he had a real tragedy a few years ago.
Nice 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching.
Great video, and loved what you said about the 380 "hate to be shot by one"! At 70 yrs old I had right shoulder replacement surgery, that was back in October (2023) and just now getting comfortable shooting...somewhat! I love my SIG 380 with the Romeo red dot, easy to shoot and very accurate, (as much as my shoulder allows). I recently purchased a S&W Bodyguard in 380 with the Crimson Trace, its lighter than the SIG, but just as accurate. For now with the shoulder, the Bodyguard will be my EDC, but the SIG is waiting to return.
@maptinkler, thanks for watching and adding your thoughts. I'm 18 weeks post-surgery on my right shoulder (multiple tendon and muscle tears, not a replacement). I am just now getting comfortable shooting 9mm, but the .380 served me well for several months. Take your time and heal. AND - practice shooting left handed.
Nice review. I have the P365 with original grips and love its low recoil and great accuracy. I use the 12+1 mags.
Thanks for watching.
Very nice video. 380acp is one of my favorite calibers. Very interesting set up with the Wilson Combat grip module. I bought a grip module that fits P365 XL and turned my into a P365 380 X, that can accommodate a 12 round magazine with out the spacer sleeve.
Thanks for watching and adding your thoughts.
I’ve added thumb safeties to both of my P365’s. The trigger is light, and I sometimes carry it in my pocket. I’ve also added the 12 round Wilson Combat grip module to both. I wasn’t really excited about the modules when first holding them, but they work great at the range. 👍👍👍💥
I'm with you on the safeties and the Wilson grip module. Once again, thanks for watching.
Good video range setup is nice
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the review video.
As always, thank you for watching.
Well done sir! Now I am torn between this Sig/.380 and the Ruger/ Security .380....just to many nice choices, and not enough money...guess will have to stick with my trusty SCCY CPX 3 for a while....cheers..
Choices, choices. Thanks, as always, for watching.
👍👍
Once again, thanks for watching.
I can live with dead center at 15 yards. What kind of targets are those?
Those are Splatterburst targtes stuck over an EZ2C target (from a variety pack), all through Amazon.
Nice, hadn't considered a 380 having an RDS. Thoughts on 380's cycling an RDS's mass reliably not leading to stovepipes?
I haven't tried it with an optic yet. However, I'm guessing Sig did their homework and that it will function well with a quality optic (RMSc footprint) and the right ammo. I plan to try it in the near future, so make sure you have "All Notifications" turned on so RUclips will let you know every time I post. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@RidersRange I'm probably overthinking since the TX22 also cycles the RMSc but has major mass removed from the slide. Would hope they're confident releasing into the wild as is, as they didn't feel the need for any slide "lightening holes"...at added production costs.
@TheSummer750, now you got me shopping for a new quality, light weight, optic to experiment with. I doubt I would ever carry this gun with a red dot, but it would be nice to know how it would perform with one.
Like the shirt! :)
Thanks for watching.
I liked mine until the recoil spring failed after about 700 rounds. Sig wanted me to pay $55.00 to return the pistol for repair because I owned it for more than a year. A local LE Sig armorer fixed it for free. I don't trust it and won't carry it.
Hmmm.....this is my third P365 and I haven't had any issues. I haven't ever had to use Sig Customer Service, but I wouldn't be happy having to pay to have my gun fixed.
I could've sworn I heard you say, "I am happy with dot sights". I thought you didn't like them
Hmmm.....I don't think I said that. Now I'll have to go back and re-watch the video -- after watching it multiple times during the editing.
3 minutes 38 seconds @@RidersRange
@craigromack6156, okay, I re-watched the video and I did say "I'm happy with" the sights, but in the context that I don't feel the need for an optic on the gun, as the iron sights (three-dot, or otherwise) get the job done. Though I would much prefer "straight eight" Tritium sights, they weren't an option. And except when shooting in real low light, I ignore the dots anyway. But thanks for pointing that out. I guess I'll have to be more careful how I refer to sights in the future.
Nah, just pickin on you 😊@RidersRange
Good shooting, Rider! Cool little piece. Recently got a Glock 43x as my summer edc. Really like it. Cheers!
