Apparently Bond actually carried a Beretta 418 (not sure of the exact nomenclature) before the PPK...
Thank you for watching and for leading me to more research. It appears that James Bond did carry a Beretta 418 (.25ACP) in the first 5 Ian Fleming novels.
@@RidersRange I actually just learned that a couple of days ago! 😉
Nice comparison , my vote is Beretta
I agree. Thanks for watching.
Yep, always loved that scene in “Dr. No” when Bond reluctantly moved to the Walther from his beloved Beretta. Those old films are so damn good…and, Lois Maxwell as Moneypenny. 😍 hubbahubba!
Ahh, Miss Moneypenny. You have to wonder if Bond ever......😎
@@RidersRange yep, always wondered…but that’s too predictable. I like to think it was a fun, flirty, mutual office crush between them. 😉
So, Girsan made a repro of a Browning Double Action originally made for FN by Beretta which is essentially Cheetah? Cool! Original BDAs keep going up in price. This one you can shoot and not worry about devaluation. The 80X is super nice. My vote is for the BDA if you want the BDA experience w/o the hefty price tag.
Good points. Thanks for watching.
Or you can get the Girsan G84 which is a clone of the Beretta 84BB…..I have one it’s a nicely made gun.
I must admit sir, You do carry a fine array of quality arms. Always a very impressive display, every week. Thank you.
As always, thank you for watching and commenting. I wish all the guns I review were mine, but many are borrowed from good friends (in exchange for some time on my range).
@@RidersRange Oh, Had me fooled, thank you for informing me. Still fun getting to do the reviews, never the less.
So many guns to test, but so little money. 😢

Nice comparison
Thanks for watching.
While at my local gs I checked out the Cheetah and it felt great in my hand. Might put that on my buy list.
Thanks for watching.
great video. love the 80x
Me too! Thanks for watching.
nice review.
Thanks for watching.
Girsan needs an upgrade to a decocking lever like the Beretta.
Or, carry it in condition one like a 1911. Thanks for watching.
Is the Girsan the one with a tip up barrel?
The MC14 BDA doesn't have the tip-up barrel, but the MC 14T does have the tip-up barrel.
@@RidersRange Be careful concealed carrying the tip up barrel model because it has no extractor. I consider that a deal breaker for concealed carry. Otherwise it is fine.
I'm not a 380 guy. Never owned a Girsan. I am a Beretta guy. But, for almost twice the price ...?
Just north of $300 for the Girsan, or more than $700 for the Beretta. So, $400 more for optics ready, a rail and the ability to easily decock. Thanks for watching.
Honestly, unless you have a need or desire for those specific options, you can save your money
I own the Girsam BDA and also the Tisas Fatih. Same decent build quality and except for the slide almost identical.
Since I'm used to the G19, if i went the .380acp route. I'd probably stick with Glock but i really appreciate you showing these to us and making the video.
