The first Pioneer saw which has the carby and fuel tank that swivels is super cool. Now that is an engineering masterpiece.🎉
I know right!😉

So Jealous! Perhaps some of the best saws ever made?🤔
Kinda like the ol homelite 26lcs saw, pivot style throttle. Love history about chainsaws!
Oh yeah, I forgot about those! 😁
Thanks for the history lesson. These are like looking at classic cars.
Thanks Jeffrey, that's why I love em, they are just like old cars, but cheaper to build for sure!🤪
Really love these brief history videos. Gotta get a copy of that book
Thanks Zack, appreciate it Brother!😊
Very nice! I own a 1959 pioneer 600 and it is a conversation piece around my place! Every guy I show it to ask me if I would sell it to them? And mine says it was manufactured in Waukegan Illinois, These things were so well built. I tell people all the time the plastic crap they make today is a joke! And when I show them the die cast aluminum top cover and for those who have never been inside one of these saws, I doubt that you would find a better pullstarter mechanism in any other brand! And the fuel sediment bowl is just too cool! I'm sure you would agree?😋
Thanks Tony, I know right, they really are a work of art. I had a 600 a few years back when I was in selling mode, wish I still had it! I appreciate you man 😊
Good video,You have a awesome collection of saws. That book is cool too.
Thanks Mark! I appreciate you man!😊
They were sold at any OMC dealership so you will find different locations they were sold, omc was the overlord company that owned the brand along with, weed eater, lawn boy, Johnson, evenrude etc

Awesome video! I'm working on a 1958 pioneer that I am restoring. Quick question.. would case gasket sealer be fine for the flywheel side when I reassemble. I'm worried about the endplay on the crank.

Anyone have any info on Strunk chainsaws? I've got a "strunk speed demon" chainsaw. Looks like a 50's hotrod. Haven't been able to find a ton of info in it.
Nice! Yeah those are cool, I have a David Bradley, which is made by Strunk I believe...Check out Chainsaw Collectors Corner Website 😊
Hi from Oamaru Sth island New Zealand.
What is the P41S please?, what does "S" mean?.
Hi! Hmm..not sure on that one🤔
Safety model meaning chain brake. I think so anyway. Fantastic saw.
no antivibe back then. imagine they'd shake you like a rag doll
Not too bad Marcus, but it would wear on you after any length of time operating them for sure!😊
