I love all things 2 stroke! They are and always were incredible engines. I have a pretty big collection but only a few chain saws, but one is a rare Clinton one with the excellent 2-1/4 horse “panther” model 500 engine. I also have a Clinton mower I want to fix up. I have a literally only one ever made with documentation 1942 military prototype generator with that Mercury twin. What a beast! I really dig the Power Products engines in horizontal and vertical shaft! I just git a cool version of a pre Tecumseh merger in 1957, model 1000 with the “ribbon” air cleaner too! I have engines up to Detroit diesels, and use a wheelchair, but it doesn’t stop me! 2 strokes are endlessly interesting to me! Cheers! 😋🤘

Hoping your doing better 1 year later my friend. I went through this myself 20 years ago exactly and I didn’t think I was going to make it through. Hopefully things have settled by now. I’m 53 now and couldn’t imagine going through this now but you’re not alone.

Good video. I have reciently scored a 1951 LCS 26 to addto my collection. It has the Float carb. a lever is pushed to allow turning the saw keeping the carb horizontal. It has a belt drive to reduce The chain speed. The engine doesnt rotate backward like some gear drives do. I also have several pioneer & canaden saws. and david bradley. I probably have 100 older saws that run

There used to be a old man in my town who owned a demolition business. He finally retired and his son's took over the business and he had a place where he sold all the items from the demolition business. I went there a few times to get lumber, doors etc, he had a unbelievable collection of saws. One had connections for a hose and ran off steam, if I remember correctly, it was for early trains to clear tracks.
