There he is! Thanks Dan, this brought back memories of working off the tailgate of a 71 ford truck with a flat screwdriver and a pair of rusty pliers. Twang is a real sound! 🤣🤣🤣

You do much better wrestling with starter springs than I do!

That spring that was missing the rivet, could you weld that spot back together, or get another rivet and put it back together?

I can assure you that someone has been inside that saw! Because everyone of my homelites that I have taken the side cover off makes me automatically say the same thing every time! Oh my f#%king God! Packed full of shit every time Because some idiot was cutting with a dull chain and making powdery sawdust enstead of chips or shavings! Those fins on the flywheel are pulling alot of air when saw is wide open throttle. That is a reoccurring issue i have seen with damn near every one of these chainsaws! I can read the whole situation like a book because everyone of the old homelites that i own have a brand new Tillotson carburetor on it! And as soon as they changed the carburetor and it still didn't fire up for them it got thrown under a work bench for the next twenty years until their wife said, were having a spring cleaning and if it does not work anymore then get rid of it! Either that or the old boy that owned it passed away and they were selling all his stuff.
