Some effects I’ve noticed from wearing a suit or sport jacket/trouser combination once a week: -People engage in conversation more readily -Women make eye contact and smile more deeply -People adjust to let you by, or apologize when not even in your way -You walk and act more confidently
It is true. I experienced it this year since I started wearing suits more often, modern , classic style , peaky blinder style. I like having light tinted glasses that makes you look like you're from the 60's. I've struggled with confidence for many years until I had to put myself to work. I've always worn suits in high school sometimes. Everyone used to look at me weird while I felt good about myself. This year though, with vests too, authentic Fedora, newspaper cap, hair combed neatly. I get so much lool from women of all ages. Once they get a good look at you and smile, you can't help but reciprocate in a much stronger and elegant way.
I work at a bank as a lead teller and I’m usually the only one wearing a suit in the whole branch. It really not only helps with my confidence and sales, but also helps in my communication with clients. They have expressed on more than one occasion they appreciate seeing someone working there so well dressed. It really sends an underlying message to people that you are treating the situation, time, and/or occasion with respect and care.
I used to work at cvs as a technican, i hated the scrub, so i would wear the top scrub only, underneath it is my suit, vest, tie , pant, dress shoes. When the pharmacist manager is not in, i would drop the whole scrubs the entire shift until cvs had a problem with me thinking for myself and having respect for myself and my favorite clients. I've made tons of good acquisition and friends above my age, good quality people, even local celebrities from movies and shows like the soprano. One of the actors is my friend now. I already had lunch and dinner with the gentleman. What a reward to respect yourself to reap the best people who can be a part of an amazing journey or be stuck in a 9 to 5 job, being told what to do, what to wear. Nope. No thank.
Prime tip: For anyone considering their first suit, try not to pick black. I recommend navy or charcoal gray/gray because those colors lend themselves to more variety in matching the shirt, tie, belt, shoes, accessories. Black suits are very restricting in this regard and are for specific use imo. The only times I see black suits are at funerals, some department store jobs, high profile security personnel, and weddings. (just my personal experience)
I would say to a first time wearer; don't choose a black suit, unless you are required to e.g. dresscode for work, something like that. Black is the most formal color, black suit is hard to wear casually thus restrict it to only formal events. Charcoal grey and navy are more versatile to wear casually and still apropriate for formal events. Besides black is not practical color because it easily fades, doesn't hide white stains well, more demanding to maintain its pitch black.
I've been wearing a suit for about a year at work. I've never attracted so much female attention (unfortunately it has not been reciprocal so far). I'm better dressed than the ceo. I've been called James Bond at least twice and Agent Smith at least once. When I started wearing a suit, it so happened that there was a reshuffling of staff with nominations at senior managerial level. I remember the panic when they saw me in the suit. Had I been nominated as the ceo or cto? One senior manager even sent my immediate manager to enquire why I was wearing a suit. I've noted that people treat me with much more respect and they are curious about what I do in life. I am 49 now and single. I can't help wondering how my life could have spanned out differently had I been dressing properly since young.
Legit when I wear a suit I get a bit more respect even by people who already know me. Also the one and only time I wore a suit to a dance social, a woman asked me to dance for once 😂
Same here. i get looks from yoga pant older women , younger women, and damn even high school girls were eyeing me. Offa, dangerous! The older gals, I have eye contact intimacy with them in that few moment they look at me, memorized by the outfit. Plus it really does make you communicate better. You are forced to compose yourself physically with a. Fitted suit. I even brought the clips to keep my shirt down from this channle a few years ago. Love it, i highly recommend it for that sharpness.
I'm 18 and been dressing up as a proper man for almost 4 years by now. I still don't own a suit. As a poor, 3rd world country citizen, I've had to make do with secondhand clothes and altered hand-me-downs. They've served me well though and through altering them, I gathered enough skill to create garments from scratch on my own. I need to make a proper suit one of these days. One cut from the same fabric and one whose pants actually fit well. Gotta do that before college eats me.
@@RealMenRealStyle hey there, great video, factual, brief and to the point but you overlooked one aspect of success, whether it's business, entertainment, sports or even politics successful people don't follow trends, they set them no matter what outfit or suits they're wearing.
On new year's eve, I was the only one who worn a tailored suit at the party. I even included a signature piece based on a long red pea coat with black and gold trims. I gave advices to women on how to give an authentic strong impression when everyone else are just playing it safe, while they're worrying about make a good first impression so people will accept them. I even demonstrated on how better posture can make them feeling more energetic, by freeing up their lungs and establishing better airway for optimal health.
Straight facts. I have this one black tailored suit and I mean it is tailored. I wear this sometimes without a tie and a white collared shirt. Let me tell you, women can't even resist me. They can't help it. The James Bond vibes kill em endlessly
After being in a very casual environment for the previous five years, I just landed an executive VP job. All of us at the VP level and above where suits every day and I can tell you the effect it has on our drive to perform is amazing. In the past various senior managers would show up wearing T-shirts and shorts, polos, and untucked button-downs. Even though we were all comfortable, our work suffered and, in the long run, I work product turned out to be a sloppy as our dress. It’s hard to explain that to my 16-year-old son and other young people. But, depending on your industry, mine is insurance, dressing at the very top of your level and business is critical to your success. The old dress for success book is right on the money. Dress like your clients or what your clients expect you to dress like and bring it up to the highest level you can, and you will be amazed like I was at how well you perform at work.
i get treated better when i wear suits, i love suits I have a dozen or so in different fabrics but the same general style and fit. My suits from 8 years ago still fit and look great, i manage whatever simple alterations when needed with my sewing machine. I just ordered another charcoal flannel suit as its absolutley the most flattering a versatile style, pair it with a crew neck sweater for a casual look or with a nice portuguese flannel tie in a classic width with a white shirt and i can practically feel the air leave the room. Its a head turner. I get a ton of compliments. My new charcoal flannel suit should be here next week and that makes lucky number 13 and my second charcoal flannel suit. I cant wait until winter and fall to bring out the harris tweed suits and blazers, chefs kiss, beautiful! Love the channel, keep up the good work.
When I was 25, a friend of the family gave me a $2200 Brioni pinstripe suit that was tailored for me. I was walking through entrance of a family restaurant when three 20-ish black guys (wannabe thugs) nearly jumped out the way AND opened the door for me (I'm black also). Their response bewildered me. Later as I walked in the restroom they asked me if I was some type of high- powered attorney. THAT moment left an indelible impression upon me regarding appearance!
I hear you. And I offer this with respect because I have been there, done that, what about the shoes? Did the shoes compliment a $2200 suit? Point being don't stop at the suit get the rest of the uniform that shows off your style. I think maybe you are older and know this now. Good luck to you.
yes well most people aren't affording that any time soon and most people with little money certainly don't want to piss off lawyers in what I assume is probably the USA where sueing is pretty liberally done.
As always, with you 100%. I come from an era where suits (or jacket & tie) were mandatory in fine restaurants & the theater. These occasions are special & emphasize your appreciation, besides feeling & looking great. I can't believe I see people with torn jeans & T shirts at broadway plays & fine steak houses. Happy New Year my friend. 👍👍👍👍👍🍾🥂🍾
The US needs more traditions. Ceremony illustrates meaning and values. Good suits that are tailored to you are amazing. You deserve to take care of yourself, and put on a suit at least once a week. Try a suit up challenge atleast once a week for 90 days. See how you feel.
I worked for a CEO, wealthy business man at a young age in NYC. He took me to the old style Men't clubs in New York. The suit was King in those places but regardless that my suits were less than $150 at that time, he told me, and later used the same thoughts about traveling first class, '...always act like you belong there and when you are dressed well, you always belong'. I have learned over the years to have suits and the accessories that go with them. In an office, its always a shirt and tie. No short sleeves. Only in the extreme situations did the tie get un tied. I never did casual Friday. They joked with me about it but I got the respect and the sought after promotion. The laughing stopped and more men started wearing suits and ties to work. By all means get the suit, a few of them and don't forget the shoes, shined and well heeled. I do not own a pair of sneakers.
@@mr.brooks9802 NO. The movie American Gangster shows the time period of my youth. Going to the gym then was not like it is now. And I don't go now. I ran track and played tennis for a while back then. I can still bend over and touch my toes.
Thank you so much for your video! It was heartwarming to see my expieriences of the past months so perfectly summarized! I started to wear suits and dress formal every day to fight my depression. It's still not easy and definetly not the only thing one should do, but the positive effects, for example on my selflove or the way i get treated just speak for themselves. I find it now to be an important interest in my life and i really love to experiment and try new combinations. My low budget starter collection tip definetly are second hand/vintage kilo warehouse sales. I got all of my pieces there for under 10$
As I've elevated my fashion game, I've had some unexpected interesting encounters. Since it's deep winter here in Alaska, I always wear a long coat with a scarf and gloves when I go out. I have three longs coats; a black pea coat, a navy coat with peaked lapels, and a camel coat, my favorite. I was just in Office Depot the other day trying to mal a package to Italy. They couldn't help me and directed me to another business that could. The older lady that was standing behind the counter did something totally unexpected; She bowed to me and thanked me for "thinking of them". No, she wasn't Asian, just an older white lady. Really caught me off guard and amused me when she did that. Checking in for a medical appointment the other day, I found the all the windows occupied, but a young man in the back waved to me to come see him when he spotted me and he opened up an additional window. Even complimented my appearance when we were finished. In particular, he loved my scarf, tied in a Parisian knot. I find I'm getting what feels like VIP treatment just about everywhere I go, simply based on my appearance. It's shallow, I know, but it feels good tbh. I have more confidence as a result, and enjoy getting compliments from random strangers, even men, in places like the Costco, Walmart, and others. And I'm finding that even when grocery shopping, I'm catching women checking me out and making eye contact and even engaging in mild flirting. Cashiers are more friendly and chatty, and I get levels of customer service in businesses not known for that, like when I was in Home Depot just yesterday. Had three employees check on me to see if I needed anything, all within minutes of entering the store. If you're a regular Home Depot shopper, you know that this isn't common. There's something about dressing well that just changes the entire game. I might be old, fat, and ugly, but I'm looking good in the process and reaping the benefits of taking the time to really dial in my look every day.☺
After having a couple of blazers, I decided it was time to get a nice suit. I went with a three piece(assuming the vest would help hide my gut and it DOES) in black. It was the most I ever spent costing over $900 and it was two fold. I wanted it for future job interviews AND I knew there would be a funeral within a few months that I had to attend. Well, the funeral was last Saturday and besides the funeral director, I was the best dressed there and mistaken several times for the pastor which, honestly, I was very pleased with. People that I went to school had no idea it was me until I started talking. How people reacted was very noticeable and I found myself very pleased with the results. I plan on investing and getting some more and making this my go to look.
I was in a basic communications class, my first semester at university, last year. Whenever we had to give a speech, I always wore a suit. A lot of people teased me the first time, until they listened to my speech, and they almost all loved it. People became fearful to go after me, because I was good at giving them. I explained to them that the suit gave me confidence, so I felt better about myself, giving the speech. Beau Brummell was truly a genius. Thanks for all the tips, Kermit up, sir.
Yes, especially now when suits are not de rigeur as they used to be, wearing a suit or even a jacket lets you know who the real players are. You get help, deferential treatment in a lot of places ..even a sport jacket amps it up enough for effect.
I work in an ultra-casual environment, but decided to step up my style game and now wear a suit or sport jacket/slacks almost every day, despite the (sometimes) dirty looks and comments I get from my colleagues about "making [them] look bad." The difference in how clients, coworkers, and just people on the street interact with me now is night and day. I get compliments on my outfits from total strangers. People step out of my way and excuse themselves when they see me coming even when I'm not in a hurry or trying to push past them. Men I've known for decades have actually failed to recognize me--all they saw was the suit. I'm constantly mistaken for the boss, even when the head of the company (who also wears suits) is standing right there. And not to put too fine a point on it, the ladies definitely notice. If you're a young man and you want to make something of yourself, you need to suit up. Think of it as your armor. Learn the elements of style, how to dress properly, build yourself a wardrobe, then go forth and conquer!
Also, I've had men older than me become afraid, move to the side, apologize and not look at me directly, meanwhile I'm walking with strides with a purpose. It is an amazing feeling because I used to be like that and hated it when I pussed out. Plus it's just not attractive for the nature of genders.
I tell people if my dressing as I do makes you look bad, you are the one with the issue not me. They normally agree. I never advise them how to dress. It was an easy transition when I became a manager. I could almost see the light bulb lit above some of their heads.
I am not looking at _any_ woman wearing joggers, yoga pants, pajamas, ill fitting (tight or too loose) then jeans. Pass. Then again, I am age 34 so I shouldn't expect grown women to wear such things but eh. It is current year so 🤷🏿
@@KunaiKrazy meanwhile I actually appreciate women that don't feel the need to dress up all the time. good fancier clothing will always look good but, this doesn't mean dressing casually is always bad. it's almost like casual clothes exist to be worn casually and aren't made to make people look bad.
My business mentor always used to say to me "On any given day you could meet someone who can have a big impact on your life, the least you could do is be dressed and ready for them"👍
Thanks for a great video! I love suits but its getting harder and harder to find occasions to wear them, even for work. Just a note on your Japanese pronunciation. Seijin = Say (as in “Do as I say”) - gin (as in “gin and tonic) No = No as in Yes / No Hi = He as in He/She I'm Japanese, so you can trust me. LOL
Hi Antonio. Thanks for the videos! I once was invited to a conference. I was not supposed to stay for lunch afterwards with the VIP people. However someone cancelled his participation and probably thanks I was wearing my suit I was invited to stand-in 😉
My wife and I dress up whenever we fly. We get preferential treatment and have been upgraded to business class. 99% of passengers are quite disheveled.
This is so true, I only wear suit and tie with shined shoes at airports and it is such a rare look these days I get many compliments, and attention. I miss the old days of flight when people only wore Sunday best to airport….it was a much more respectful time.
you are just amazing......you are very confident and have helped many many men to get their confidence levels high by advocating good dress sense.......thanks for your tireless efforts
It's ominous that you released a video on this topic as I'm writing a Toastmasters' speech on how elected officials/political candidates should dress in politics, tackling the challenge of 'What to wear, and when.' 1:08 My favorite scene in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' was the square off between Leonardo DiCaprio's character and the Swiss banker. Not only is their interaction fantastic, but both men compete for best suits in the movie. 7:02 LOL. The trad-wife meme. So awesome. 7:36 While I agree with this quote, does this sentiment not contradict Beau Brummel's adage: "to be truly elegant, one should not be noticed." (?)
One time I went to the IT meetup wearing a jacket, and discovered that major people were wearing Tshirts or something very casual. I was mistaken for someone experienced and as employer 3 times that evening. 😂
Im going out tonight and im wearing a Suit. Fited dark charcol suit, black pocket square, black dress shirt, black tie with small light colored dots and black Oxfords.
Hey I’m new to the channel and I apologize for not sticking to topic but if you could do a video breaking down the levels of formality and what they entail I recently had to go to an event labeled “dress to impress” and had to go down a rabbit hole to find out how to dress for the event…keep up the great work love that you prove that you don’t have to be a snob to care about how you look
I wasn’t wearing a suit but was formally dressed and one time I was waiting in line to be served at a restaurant. The difference in tone and how I was treated was obvious - the lady ahead of me in line was in sweats and they were abit rude to her but nice to me
I wear tracksuit pants most places and staff are always kind to me. it's possible that's an attitude issue rather than a clothing issue. or maybe where you live is just filled with more judgey assholes than here.
Less is more. By NOT wearing suits on a regular basis, I increase the wow factor for the odd time I wear one, and maintain the formality of the occasion. And every other day, I still put effort into my casual look.
You’re only gonna “wow” the people that are close to you and are used to seeing you every day. That’s 10, maybe 15 people that pay any attention to you. To the rest of the world there’s not gonna be any “wow” factor. It’s better to dress up and be prepared to meet new people and have opportunities coming you way than to spare your best dressed self for the “wow” factor.
@@RenanMeloC to the rest of the world I don't give a shit about their opinions. the only opinions of people that matter are those that have an effect on you. if you find everyone else having positive reactions to your appearance at every moment uplifting then go for it. if you don't and only care about those you actually interact with then you do where whatever you want.
I've always worn suits, even as a child. I would go to church in a suit, so for me, I like them. Though I don't have a lot of money (yay where I live), I tend to go to thrift stores and I've found good deals on suits. Also, I know some look down at Macys, but they're good quality. I've gotten jacket and trousers from a sale for under 250 bucks. And although my job doesn't need a suit (uniform reason) I still wear suits at least 3 times a week. I get compliments and though it doesn't affect my speech or anything, it does give a subliminal confidence boost. Though right now I'm saving for one from suit supply. My former coworker used to work there and his friend is a manager there, so I'm going to ask him on what his opinion would be, even though I'm a shorter guy.
A good tailor can make any suite or garment look great on you. Shopping sales is smart…..increase net worth while increasing confidence….I call that a win-win.
I agree, the suit shows confidence and maturity, BUT when I see someone wearing white sneakers or the stupid "dress" shoes with white soles, I think of that person as a child again. Can't help it, but I do.
It's because it's how society has driven us to think about the proper, order and manner of the person like black means superior, manipulative while white for charismatic, kind , humble... We
I wear a suit and tie six days a week. It's the same reason why I shave my head and hit the gym, I look better and feel great. When I go out socially I will sometimes loose the tie, but always a suit.
No one wears suits nowadays where I live, apart from work or a very formal event, and I live in a European capital city. Most people don't even dress good when they go out for a drink. During Christmas people were even wearing hoodies in bars. I was the only one wearing a waistcoat apart from the waiters. I want to dress good but most times I stick out, and maybe not in a positive way. So, I just usually add something casual to my look such as some nice sneakers. That seems to be working better in blending in with the casual crowd.
At the new years eve party, i was one of few people wearing a tailored suit and recieved full compliments from several women including a drink from a married couple
Brother, this is an amazing video and I love all of your videos. I just have to ask, why do you tell us to click on a video this isn’t there? Your videos are so perfectly edited that this has to be on purpose, lol. No disrespect, just curious.
I get super powers whenever I'm wearing a suit. I walk as if i own the room. All suits lovers need to watch the series "Suits", because of Harvey Specter.
If you don't believe this video, try this test. Dress up in a suit and see if you get more respect and attention where ever you go. I get treated much more professionally when I'm wearing my suit in public. I get assistance right away too.
I still haven't purchased a suit yet and i want to and i have looked around online but just haven't yet. I have a sports jacket though but i haven't worn it though i didn't pay much for it it was on a clearance rack. I think i haven't worn it because it's a dark brown so it seems more suitable for fall and winter.
I work as a teller at a bank, and I am the only one who wears a suit regularly to work. When I went to a meeting for a group of us in customer service roles, my boss’s boss gave me a shout out for being the best dressed and said I looked like I should be the one leading the meeting.
100% agree. It’s been a while since I wore an actual suit, but just putting on a sports jacket, dress shirt, tie, dress pants, and black derbies made me feel like the man the other day. On an aside, has anyone told you that you look like Andy Griffith? The resemblance is uncanny
I wore custom tailored high end suits for a couple of years for work. Never really liked it much. I do really need to get a better suit than I have now though that I wear occasionally.
I love wearing suits. I feel as if i have super powers when I'm wearing a suit. I walk as if i own the room, especially when I'm combining with matching accessories. If you've seen the series "Suits", you sure like Harvey Spectre.
I will say, though, that one of the things I do appreciate about relaxed dress codes is that I get to wear sport coats with all sorts of trousers -- and, usually, that still makes me the best dressed man in the room even in many workplaces. And, honestly, there's something about a sport coat or a blazer combination that says you chose to dress this way. Whereas a suit might make you look like you came from an office, this unmistakenably looks deliberate, intentional. Also, I'm kind of hard on my pants, especially the crotch area. Hearty, hard wearing fabrics can survive a while, but anything too light weight will die prematurily. 😅 I do own a few suits, but it can't be something I wear too often for that reason. 😅
Do you have any suggestions for somebody who gets a rash around their neck from wearing a collared shirt with a tie? Every time I wear a suit for more than an hour my neck is raw. Is it the fabric that I’m using or is it a skin care issue?
I keep coming back to this: dress appropriately for the occasion at hand. For me, the knowledge of not to over- or underdress is more key to confidence than simply wearing a suit, as it's limited in use and purpose. But in the right setting, yes, of course, a well tailored suit will affect your confidence positively, but for me, no more than a carefully picked casual outfit in its own proper setting. I don't really care whether women prefer to see me in a suit. I'm happily married already, and I'm not aiming for a professional position either, as I'm self-employed in rural Portugal. So wearing a suit for me is limited to funerals and weddings. I prefer to "invest" in proper boots, knitwear, and leather jackets.
This is my opinion only. This is just from my life experience of starting from nothing to be what society considers to be very successful. A suit is a uniform. Absolutely. It denotes rank, social position etc. It shows the world and those you are dealing with your professionalism and respect to the situation. One can wear a suit all day every day for the rest of your life. And go through life wearing a societal uniform. Or you can work and gain the respect of your peers and society through your results and not the way you dress. Ever watch Tim Cook do his Apple presentations. No suit. Steve Jobs. Never wore a suit. Elon Musk doing interviews etc. No suit. Yes. I am using the mega icons of today’s captains of industry. But only to make a point where one has a recognizable figure. Yes. Wear a suit in the beginning to climb your way up that ladder. Yes. Be nice and respectful. Yes to all that. And if and when you get to the pinnacle. Choose to wear your suit or just a pair of chinos and a grey t shirt like Zuck does all the time. Well, except in front of a congressional hearing. 😂
Great advice Antonio. Suits do look great, actually some times even better without a tie. What do you think and everyone else think? A suit without a tie?
Nyet, personally if I am not wearing a tie I wear a sportscoat. I think suits look unfinished if tie not present, also shined shoes - very important. Most people’s shirt collars do not stand up clean enough without tie to look good. Look at the shirts without tie from top button up and you will notice the front of collar drops and upper shirt wrinkles without a tie, not a good look. I have custom shirts with built in collar stays and extra fabric in front of collar to keep it up without tie, but I only use these for sportcoats or blazer.
A good quality well fitted sujt with a crisp white double cuff shirt. Enough said. Good smart trousers with a blazer or sports jacket, you can wear jeans but they have to fit perfectly and be good quality. A double cuff shirt is the finishing touch with any jacket. Good wrist watch, nothing bling, just stated. Doors will open for you, women will look at you, and if you have the right demina, they will approach you. A suit or jacket gives you status.
Hey Antonio, can you give me some recommendations on how to suit up for a wedding in a tropical/beachy setting? I'm a Canadian "bear" (lots of fat and I sweat A LOT). I just returned from my friend's wedding in a 3 piece suit and it was great because it was a wintery setting... I cannot imagine any way I will wear a suit in the blazing humid heat of Langkawi. Do you know anyway for me to "suit up" for the big day while not looking like I just came out of a shower???
I've held many different technical and professional positions where wearing suits was mandatory, and I've also held positions where suits were not the norm. After years of being in both modes, I strongly prefer to not wear a suit and to dress casually (which is much more comfortable and much more affordable). My wealthiest friends (multi-millionaires who own very successful companies, etc.) do not wear suits, and never have. Hence, there is not necessarily a correlation between wearing a suit and status or success.
I don't have a business job, I don't go to church on Sundays anymore, so sadly, as much as I love a dapper suit, I don't see any occasions where I could wear it :/

What a reward to respect yourself to reap the best people who can be a part of an amazing journey or be stuck in a 9 to 5 job, being told what to do, what to wear. Nope. No thank.
Prime tip:
For anyone considering their first suit, try not to pick black.
Yes. Had my first suit grey. Bought second hand. It was so nicely fitting. Wore it to rugs 😂
Utter crap, recycling bland bs regarding suits.
nice gay hat
@@salimr4718 amazing 🤩

Your going to do great in life, stay the path being yourself.
Suits are best! It always increase my confidence...
I couldn't agree more.
I agree with that, because whenever I wear a suit I feel 10 times more confident. I also get admiring glances from the ladies. 😊
Suits ARE best. Wish men dressing in suits was more popular again.
I agree 👍🏻💯
I love to make getting my suit ready for the next day a little kind of ‘ceremony’.
It gives me a good feeling and looking forward for the next day.
🧢
Wow...
sometimes i think we''ve been taken over by a bunch of, well, slobs. could never figure out why ..
The US needs more traditions. Ceremony illustrates meaning and values. Good suits that are tailored to you are amazing. You deserve to take care of yourself, and put on a suit at least once a week. Try a suit up challenge atleast once a week for 90 days. See how you feel.
I couldn’t agree more. My Italian tailor family friend made mine, it is amazing. The worse their English, the better the clothes, is my motto.
I disagree suits are expensive and beyond funeral or church I don't even wear one.
In America, I think the modern equivalent of the suit is tattoos. 🙄
@@jbone9900That sounds like a you problem to me
@@troublemak3r134 just stating the facts most of the time suits are a inconvenience not my fault that facts got you in your feelings.
I worked for a CEO, wealthy business man at a young age in NYC.
He took me to the old style Men't clubs in New York.
The suit was King in those places but regardless that
my suits were less than $150 at that time, he told me,
and later used the same thoughts about traveling
first class, '...always act like you belong there
and when you are dressed well, you always belong'.
I have learned over the years to have suits
and the accessories that go with them. In an office,
its always a shirt and tie. No short sleeves. Only
in the extreme situations did the tie get un tied. I never
did casual Friday. They joked with me about it but I got
the respect and the sought after promotion. The laughing stopped
and more men started wearing suits and ties to work.
By all means get the suit, a few of them and don't forget
the shoes, shined and well heeled. I do not own a pair of sneakers.
Do you go to the gym?

Perfect timing. I just bought my first 2 custom suits from suitsupply yesterday. Can’t wait to get them finished and wear them every week 😁
I do not like ties, but wearing a suit does imbue the wearer with a certain confidence, and a kind of 'I would do me' attitude. Great video Antonio!
GOOD MORNING ANTONIO I just bought some Chelsea boots thanks to you
Good morning Josh! Good choice Chelsea boots.
Antonio, another great vid. I predict and I am sure that you will agree that the men's suit will never die. Much like rock'n roll.
When the suit is cut well, and fits you well...confidence is inevitable. I love wearing suits!!!
Im at both my most confident and relaxed in a well fitted, bespoke, tailored suit. "You never get a second chance to make a first impression."
This is the perfect video to know to dress up for this next year 🍷
Suits are the best! If you are a man and you enjoy wearing one often, they make you want to stay in shape, honestly.
I get noticed a lot more and have amazing confidence as soon as I put my suit on 😊
Yes, especially now when suits are not de rigeur as they used to be, wearing a suit or even a jacket lets you know who the real players are. You get help, deferential treatment in a lot of places ..even a sport jacket amps it up enough for effect.
I wear a suit everywhere to show that what I have to say is important. I'm very serious about sharing truth.
This year, I asked only for a suit for Christmas. Best present ever!
Too bad for the haters. 😂😂😂 Instead of them complaining, step up too!
I think about it like a dress for a woman, you instantly take them more seriously compared to a woman wearing baggy pajamas 😂
Yes. Dresses enhance our form as suits do yours.
My business mentor always used to say to me "On any given day you could meet someone who can have a big impact on your life, the least you could do is be dressed and ready for them"👍
I love your channel.
Its very rare to see so masculine channel "from men for men"

Hi Antonio. Thanks for the videos! I once was invited to a conference. I was not supposed to stay for lunch afterwards with the VIP people. However someone cancelled his participation and probably thanks I was wearing my suit I was invited to stand-in 😉
I'm a truck driver and when I hate wearing suits! Only when I absolutely have to will I put one on.
When I dress for power it makes everything easier...
As a woman, I don't wear a suit, but I do know that when I dress nice, I definitely feel much better about myself
The video production of this channel has skyrocketed!!

It's ominous that you released a video on this topic as I'm writing a Toastmasters' speech on how elected officials/political candidates should dress in politics, tackling the challenge of 'What to wear, and when.'
1:08 My favorite scene in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' was the square off between Leonardo DiCaprio's character and the Swiss banker. Not only is their interaction fantastic, but both men compete for best suits in the movie.

Precisely!
@RenanMeloC yes. A man in a suit is almost as powerful as a woman lingerie model.

And if you ever feel overdressed, just remember what Oscar Wilde said, "you can never be overdressed or overeducated."

Exactly!
This is another great video.
Thanks for the Video 😀
Happy New Year !!!
We

Love him.
There are so few people that dress up now. I receive reactions just from wearing a nice button down and tie.
Just bought my first suit didn’t know the rules were different, I’m 28. Now I’m starting to understand.
I wear a suit and tie six days a week. It's the same reason why I shave my head and hit the gym, I look better and feel great. When I go out socially I will sometimes loose the tie, but always a suit.

This new editing format is great!
Good video
No one wears suits nowadays where I live, apart from work or a very formal event, and I live in a European capital city. Most people don't even dress good when they go out for a drink. During Christmas people were even wearing hoodies in bars. I was the only one wearing a waistcoat apart from the waiters. I want to dress good but most times I stick out, and maybe not in a positive way. So, I just usually add something casual to my look such as some nice sneakers. That seems to be working better in blending in with the casual crowd.
Stand out don't be a sheeple! Start the trend!
Love the classical music used along for this video 👌

Nice Video, I will start to wear two suits instantly 😅
Sounds like a plan
What shirt are you wearing in this video?
Yep. My son is a software engineer who dresses like a hippie. Got married 18 mths ago....did it in a suit. Looked great too.
I remember when the boys would wear their suits for dress up day in middle school. They did walk a bit taller on that day.
I don't have a business job, I don't go to church on Sundays anymore, so sadly, as much as I love a dapper suit, I don't see any occasions where I could wear it :/
I will consider this advice.
After reading Dressing the Man, the suit can raise or lower you with how it fits and is assembled color, contrast and texture-wise
I wear suit very often but still watching to get it perfect there
