To be myself is to wear clothes that fit and look good one. If neither of those are true I feel like I'm trying to be someone else. Really glad I finally started "being myself"
For the past few years I've been improving my appearance and still learning the ways. I used to dress boring and lazy t shirts and jeans/shorts but I have changed and improved my appearance and style of clothing. I don't copy a look entirely from anyone else to try and look like them 100%
Antonio, thank you for inspiring me to become a better version of myself. As a retired veteran I’ve missed the old me and since finding your channel, even my kids say I’ve changed. Thanks again.
Antonio, I am the grandson of a very talented tailor but over the years I didn’t really stay on track, I love your videos where you touch on multiple points. I updated my outfit options lately and Thank you for keeping me inspired. Frederic L
I learned to cut my own hair 4 years ago to improve my grooming and cause I hate going to barber shop. Best decision I ever made. I have schedule every 2 weeks I do my sides to create a fade but leave top alone. Every 4 weeks I do a full cut.
It takes same effort to put on sweatpants and a t-shirt as it does to put on chinos and a polo. The payoff is the way I feel about myself and how others treat me. A genuine smile from the bank teller or kiosk worker is worth it. Oh, be sure you return that smile
Go-to footwear is black Thursday Chelsea boots. Worn them with everything from jeans and a T-shirt to a suit, they look good with literally anything and they're as comfortable as a beat up sneaker.
I really liked the end tip because I’ve had people say to me multiple times stuff like, “Why are you so dressed up? You’re only going to the store to buy a drink.” To which I’d reply, “why are you NOT? If I leave the house for any reason I’m going to look as good as possible. You never know who you’ll run into” It really is a great mindset to have. Always look your best, even going for a 5 minute trip to get a coffee. Put effort into yourself 👍
Because most people think it's silly to dress 1000$ outfit and going to walmart. They will think that's the reason You going to walmart because You spent all Your money on clothes. Lol That's why there is clothing outfits for running errands. The 1000$+ outfit is more for a city walk.
Happy for the confirmation on these tips. I’m in my 50s now, and I’ve been “matching” my shirts and sweaters to my skin and eye color since my early twenties. I almost exclusively stick to blues, greens, grays, and once in a blue moon (pun intended) black. Just a week or two ago, I had a young female colleague compliment my medium blue V-neck, saying it matched my (green) eyes. I also love slip on loafers. Alas, my very favorite English tan Cole Haans have pretty much bit the dust, so I’m on the hunt for a replacement… ….AND I’m right there with you on nice, faintly elegant but still rugged boots, particularly for the winter…
Thanks, great video… I highly recommend shopping in stores, not online; it’s easier find the right fit, color and it’s a great experience I won’t miss… Merry Christmas 🎄
Great video, Antonio. Could you consider doing a grooming routine video for shift workers or something similar for those who don't have a morning or night routine all the time?
While Antonio has made some good content and provided great ideas in the past, he's pretty much just remixing information at this point. Nearly every video comes down to: get in shape, wear fitted clothing, get a nice watch and other accessories (depending on sponsor), rock appropriate and stylish footwear, and carry yourself with confidence.
Thanks for the great content. I have been overwhelmed since becoming an ag teacher as it is more time in the welding shop and more time at banquets and events than i am used to. Your videos have helped me buid up my default past the classroom and gym.
Big fan, I like your videos a lot. One point: being located in Germany, people commute a lot using eco friendly means like bicycles. As you can image, looking sharp while getting uphill is close to impossible; at the end, you’ll end up looking quite like a mess wearing formal clothes from the start. However, in urban areas, I tend to wear polo shirts, some stretchy jeans. Would be interested in your point of view, as you strongly support the rather classical style. Cheers.
Semper Fi brother! Not sure if you’ll ever come across this but could you do a review on Byredo Mojave Ghost and their Black Saffron? Much Mahalo and happy holidays from Hawaii!!
What a great video! I laughed at the raiding your grandfathers closet part, I've already done that! And great tips, I agree with everything you said in this video. Thank you! 😊
My Grandpa passed away a little over a month ago and I got to keep most of his Jackets and Sweaters and I’ve been wearing something of his almost daily and I feel and look better than in a long time
I love websites like Uniqlo that list dimensions - ideal for a slim 5'7 guy. Also I love K-Dramas, they really influence my style and mean I dress different from other guys in the UK. Love the videos Antonio, you're a super helpful, genuine guy 🙏🏼
I watch k dramas as well as listen to Kpop and i definitely get such inspiration from the fantastic fashion these men have. But sadly I feel like I cannot pull off these look’s because I don’t have the right body type for it. Good luck on your fashion journey!
Stay away from track pants or joggers. Unless you're doing something athletic. Wear clean shoes. And ironed clothes. Comb your hair. Don't over do it on accessories.
I do think this advice applies in certain parts of this country more than others. Also, looking put together can make it seem like you are trying to attract attention and that maybe you are too needy in a way that’s not cool. Saw a guy in the mall today in his late 30s. He looked pretty frumpy, a little over weight, and not well put-together all. The girl he was with was a sensation--gorgeous from head to toe. She was well put together, indeed! And she locked her arm in his while walking. She appeared to be happy to be seen with him. This happened in a semi-rural, semi urban college town. In theory, clothes do make the man, especially if he lives in a vibrant urban area but maybe not so much in other places.
this is a very important video for all men .....and RMRS does an awesome job in bringing this to the mass media in a simple and yet very effective way.
I find it funny that you showed the same exact running shoes I currently have on my feet to describe the guy that uses them as his default to run errands. I was like dam he's speaking directly to me 😆😆😆
The real crime is 'fashion' sweatpants, theyre even worse than pajamas and crocs. I love a good t-shirt and jeans combo for casual but I always dress up to hang out with friends or any outing. I dress as an extension of my personality.
My default footwear is always, always a dark slip on canvas shoes. It's clean but casual, easy to wear, breathable and super light. I even got multiple pairs because it was pretty cheap compared to leather shoes or even most sneakers
When it comes to personal style, everyone has their own. I'm more into the bohemian rocker look mixed in with a little western vibe and other little tidbits I incorporated into my style. So to me, that is looking put together. Just like the guy who is into jeans and a hoodie. This guy probably takes the time to make sure he looks good because to him, that is being put together. Sometimes when I watch channels like this it feels like put together means wearing certain items of clothing and that they have to fit perfectly in order to look, put together. So I can understand when some people say, wear what you want.
OKay, I wasn't expecting to be subscribing, after all I'm old and no one cares one way or another about me. BUT this was so well done, and so encouraging, that I am going to. One good thing, I can raid my own accessories. LOL ;-)
Hey Antonio I was wondering if you about the grey suede Chelsea boots you were holding up, where are they from. Thank you for all your help Merry Christmas!
I love my Superstars and Stan Smiths, I keep 'em clean though! Been watching several of your videos, lots of great tips. Some new, some I might have known but forgotten. I really like the suggestions of new brands to look at, as this is a difficult arena for me and I am sure others. I live in a smaller city without many options to go and actually look at; on top of that being a smaller guy it's always been difficult to find choices.
Telling other guys "Don't listen to the style guys, wear whatever you want to wear" is my strategy to make sure that I'm the only well-dressed guy in the room for the ladies to see.
That internal standard is the TRUTH. I went to the grocery store in what I felt was a disheveled state (hadn't properly tucked my shirt, using my sweater to hide it, hair not swept properly into my hat. STILL THE BEST DRESSED MAN AT THE GROCERY STORE.
True, what unique watch will go with any dress code, black shoes with biz casual, brown shoes and jeans (belt colour?), and formal suit??black Rolex submariner, Orient bambino black leather band.?? I am Latino, brown eyes and skin
Actually if you're REALLY in shape, you can't buy anything off the rack. I have 44" chest and 34" (inches not size) waist. Any shirt that fits upper body looks like a bag at my waist. Even slims. Have to get every shirt tailored to fit right. Maybe someone here has a suggestion - I'm trying to find quality V-neck tshirts, preferably under $50, that are worth paying the extra $15-20 to get altered to fit right. No labels, no pockets. Just a simple clean v neck tee with good material.
I agree, but I think one should always be aware of people's perception of you. Antonio brought it up better than I will write it, but his being proactive so people think well of you is true. I guess it's the balance of don't let other people's perceptions run your life and don't let your "style" get in the way of the success you're striving for.

The “macho” men being allergic to advice will always make me laugh. They’ll say “wear whatever you want” but then in the same breath say “no man should ever wear that, that looks gay/feminine etc” despite the fact that it doesn’t by any stretch of the imagination
I always assume the knuckleheads who say "be yourself" or "wear whatever you want" are just looking for likes on their post because it's a vague opinion that is safe and predictable. I even saw similar comments on a LinkedIn post about a guy on a subway who literally looked like a clown but was complaining how his appearance affected his job opportunities.
I don’t like feeling hot in clothing. I don’t love feeling tightly bound. Samurai is a big no. Cloak and blade could be kinda cool, with the birthday suit underneath. I’m sure the ladies of the community wouldn’t mind, but the police might have something to say.. 🤔
Gita said people exit or our reality like changing of the clothes not season. Well, it sigh-time there are person that drink iced black tea in winter only and never the Summer. So why not Dress like a charismatic Sales Man. Its a start to this lousy thing we called Life.
Dressing for you and being yourself is to stop INTENTIONALLY trying to look like everyone else and to fit the perceptions of people that don't give af anyway. The only real value in these types of videos is when you're tying a new look or need to dress for say an interview or new work environment on how to pair new items. The advice on dressing for: skin tone(that's a loaded one), dress for your size so you look smaller , taller, thinner etc (you're going to be your size clothes aren't gonna change that dressing in a way that makes you think you're fooling someone certainly isn't a way to boost self confidence and just tells you something you can't change is wrong , always wear neutrals, dressing correctly is dressing to a specific style....there are tons of different styles, cultures etc making everyone look EXACTLY like a specific style and culture welp is saying who you should be and as a result WHO is the right way to be and look......obvious what the issue is there...dress like your grandfather....😬😬 whos?? Not even going down that road of what's wrong there
All I could focus on was that little white spec on your sweater. I'll have to rewatch the video again to hear what you said.
