It's not the fact that you are wearing formal attire. It's the fact that you wear formal attire that is probably from the 50's or 60's coupled with your formal speaking pattern that feels sort of like a modified 50's mid-Atlantic accent. So watching you, is like watching a time traveler from the past eating modern populous food. It is a head trip, quirky and thus interesting.

I do. I work in a factory. So I have to wear safety glasses. I have rx goggles and have long hair and a beard, and wear a bandana all the time. Also I'm goth, so I wear all black, 24/7. However, I'm ginger, and look like Rhett from GMM. My look is kinda mad max/apocalyptic. Some people make fun, but it's me.

I'm 15 and I can relate with your choice of wearing formal attire. I only started caring for my clothes about 4 months ago and I always go out in a tie and jacket. I am still a bit scared of what people might say but when the compliments come in it boosts my confidence and happiness. I also, like you got influenced by old fashion and old movies and photos. I love it and Im glad someone shares the same views as me.

I also started wearing formal clothing at the age of 15 (or 16? I don't remember anymore), look confident, walk confident, as long as you do that, you will feel confident, which makes you be confident, a suit fits better if the one wearing it is confident, this applies to most, if not all, types of formal wear, so it works damn well even with just a dress shirt and suit pants.
How's it been going for you recently? Has your style developed? May you go into detail for me? I'm curious, of course, you don't need to if you don't want to.

Despite my comment being lost to the sea of other comments here and the video being so old it won't be seen, I want to genuinely thank you for making me feel better about myself with how I choose to dress. I'm not quite ready to take the full leap into my preferred style nor am I able to because of work dress codes and such. However, because of you I have been given that little extra push I needed to just throw on an outfit and rock it and not care about the weird looks I get. Yes there are different things that make different people happy, but there also are some universal things, and things like money and status has very very often shown not to bring happiness (although it is good to have some money but it has a limit where it doesn't really bring more happiness.) :)

i really love this, i wish more men would find inspiration from previous decades where mens fashion was a lot more expressive. you see women follow fashion trends and silhouettes from the past but men at least in day to day seem to keep their closet restrictive to graphic tees and jeans/cargos/sweatpants from reputable/popular brands. i really hope you inspire other men to be more expressive with their fashion choices.

I remember a boy in my high school used to wear suits everyday. He started doing it in 10th grade. At first, everyone - including me - used to ask him, "Why are you wearing a suit today?" We all always thought that he had an important meeting or presentation. But he used to just say, "Just because I wanted to." At first, a lot of people were a bit confused at first and used to make some jokes about it but we all eventually realized that the kid was cool and was just doing his thing. I think it's awesome that you wear suits. It's reminisint the pre-1950's cool classic and seeing what young men and women wear today it's refreshing to see a young guy such as yourself wearing a suit. Remember, trendy suits come and go but classic suits never go out of style and your slender bulds really works well with them. Now all you need is a small men's vintage mechanical wrist watch around 32-34mm like a Waltham to finish it off.

I like that he's not just into his suits, but that he's into quite a traditional American look. You don't see as many sack cut three button suits as sixty years ago.

It’s more 1920s-1960s
1890-1920 suits were actually very slim on average, the baggier sack suit he wears came out in the 30s with the advent of Off The Rack suiting. They had to cut the garments boxy and formless to fit as many customers as possible.

My son who's 17 loves to dress in suits every now and then just because he loves to feel good and stand out, makes him feel good. He dresses down when he has gym in school. He has friends that do the same. My daughter too she's 24 has always dressed appropriately and has a beautiful style while keeping covered. They sell suits for a reason, not just for work but for anyone that wants to look good. Always wear whatever you want. My kids always saw me get dressed everyday, even if it's just to go shopping, I like to look good. I love seeing a young man well dressed and so well spoken 👏

If you haven't already, maybe you could do a video about your tie collection. I LOVED looking at my dad's ties. I used to sort them according to which ones I liked best (the more colorful and outlandish the better haha). He would, of course, later reorganize them in a way that was more convenient and easily accessible for him.

I love the suit look! I also think it's great that you have your own sense of style and stick to it regardless of what others think. Though, I will say, I'd love to see how you look in a fitted Ben Silver suit and tie with flat front pants. I know it wouldn't fit your everyday style, but I think it would be an amazing look for special occasions or something. He uses really cool fabrics and the cut would flatter your slim figure. A Tom Ford suit would look great, too. Both are expensive, but I think you'd look great. Maybe something to keep in mind for a fun future adventure in fashion.

Yeah. I totally relate to all of that. There are people out here in California, that wear 20-40s clothing every day, listen to old victrola music, swing dance, drive old cars and fill the homes with antiques. It's really cool to come across other people who have an obsession with historical styles, and hear their story. Really great video. I'd like to see more blogs about vintage clothing and your day to day life.

It's nice to see someone else who's into vintage/retro fashion. Personally, I'm into post-war (WW2) to early 1960s fashion as well as late Victorian/early Edwardian inspired outfits. It takes a while to settle into an outfit and not really worry about other's opinions but it's worth being able to fully express yourself

I think that this man here is one of the most proper and most well-dressed people here on RUclips. I actually wear suits often as well, but it has a different origin story. My great grandfather was my primary inspiration, as he was a lawyer and a prosecutor. So, he would wear suits and ties to his cases. He gave me a bunch of his ties many years ago, and I still treasure them. I had two band directors who wore a tie every day, so that got me into the shirt and tie with a sweater look, and over time, when we had band concerts at high school, we had a tuxedo that we would wear, so that inspired me to get my self a full, complete suit to wear. And now, I have about 5 or 6 full suits that I wear. My grandfather on my mom's side was the one that taught me how to tie a tie, and I guess it was just those people in my life that made such an impact. And every time, I say the same thing. You don't see it much anymore. People just wear suits because they have to. Me? I wear them just because it's something I love.
I’m 14 I recently started wearing suits, the only reason why I got a suit was because it was Valentine’s Day, and I got my first Valentine and I wanted to impress her, suddenly I started wearing suits more often, then one day I decided to wear it to school, and I had a couple of people looking at me funny, and others complementing me, and now I wear suits whenever want which is mostly every day, and I normalized it, one day and other kid in my class came to school with a suit and I was surprised, and it showed to me, that I changed the fashion in my school, sure everyone isn’t wearing suits, but it showed to me some people look up to me which I am baffled by

I liked all the suits but I found the set when you walked into view at 18:02 particularly tasteful~ especially with the chain on the front of the vest! 😍😊 I love vintage fashion and while there's not a great deal of opportunity to thrift here in the UK (especially, also, as women's vintage clothing are considerably expensive and hard to come by unless ordering online or travelling miles to specialist stores in the heart of London), I hope to be able to start sewing my own attires using patterns from bygone days!
