most of those problems were solved in calendar year 2013.I purchased an accord sport in July and the electronics, CVT have performed flawlessly. Granted, I don't have navigation, but everything else has worked as - or better than - promised. No buyers remorse at all. Love the vehicle. Highly recommend anyone in the market check it out.
I know this car isn't a fancy "name brand" car like a BMW but when I saw the redesigned Accord for 2013 at the LA auto show I just fell in love with it. The Lane-Watch feature is unlike anything else I've ever seen, when I finish school and start my teaching career in about a year or so I want to buy one of these. I like the sedan and coupe equally but I just need to decide which one I like the best. The new Accord is what I call a practical luxury car.
You should become a Christian so that you can be saved by Jesus Christ and have a personal relationship with him. Also, God has a wonderful plan for your life. Have nice day! 😊
Joshua Wick thank you for your kind invitation but as a Muslim we I believe that Essa or Jesus is only a messenger from God, and by the way to be Muslim,Jewish or Christian it’s not the purpose the purpose to reach and know God and to be live in a good way by not harming his handmade creatures and to help others as much as you can despite colors, language,p and religions
Great review, I just drove one and agree on all points. The Fusion is much quieter inside but I actually found the Honda interior to be superior to it.
Just don't get a 2010 Nissan Maxima. It has crappy parts on it and it's also got a clearcoat cracking problem. I have a black Maxima '10 and it's turning white. Racking up thousands of $ in paint costs and Nissan won't help at all nor will any dealership. I'm going into a Honda dealership tomorrow to help me get out of it and into a new Accord.
Moby Dick wow really? that's horrible! I mean I think the car wash made have put some chemical on hood and trunk, but I see clearcoat cracking around the edges of the roof and near the top between the windshield and sunroof. I wonder if I should just try and get my maxima fixed and ride it out. Problem is I owe $22,000 on it. Trade-in's about $12k. It's got 80,000 miles on it :(
Went to our annual auto show and looked at many other sedans from other makes in the Accord's price-range. Have to say, the Accord's interior looks by far the best in terms of styling and materials. Looks much more expensive than the car's price tag. The Mazda 6 probably had the worst interior styling and materials.
One thing I've noticed about the 2013 and 2014 Accords is that the front passenger leg room is significantly smaller. I'm 6-foot tall and my legs are bent at a 45 degree angle when the passenger seat is all the way back. My 2003 honda accord model has much more leg room. Why????? This is keeping us from buying a new accord.
I have a 2014 Honda Accord Sedan, same care, different color, my seats are cloth, and it’s Dark gray, I hate the CVT transmission in my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only regret!!!!
BEWARE! I bought a 2014 sport one 3 months ago. And there is this annoying wind noise coming trough the car (not the wind but the noise) when I drive over 40 miles/hr. I went back to Honda dealership and they let me test drive two other brand new Honda Accord, and the same noise came up. They said "Honda hasn't came up with a fix yet, since 2013". Trust me I am not picky at all, but this noise is really different from simple wind noise, and I have had many other cars before, none had anything close to this. I am so disappointed...
Sorry to hear your story, Ali. No other Accord owner has mentioned this noise issue to me. Is this only a problem with your car? From your comments, sounds like it is not. Anyhow, the Accord EX-L (without navigation) is still the car that I am most interested in but your comments are a bit concerning to me since I do a lot of long distance driving. Have you heard from other Accord owners with this noise issue? Gosh, sure a bummer to read your final four words. Maybe you can give us an update on the car and if the noise issue is still there.
And Ali, I forgot to ask you if you did a test drive of the Accord before purchasing it? Just wondering. And I wonder if anyone else in this thread has had the same kind of problem. If so, I sure have not read it yet. Is your problem an isolated one? Does not sound like it from what you were told at the dealership and I wonder how widespread of an issue this problem is.
I agree with what you said about the rear seat. I am not sure why Honda does not install the split seats in the back. Without that, you can only have two people in the car and not three if you are hauling longer items and have to fold down the rear seat. So your point is well-taken! But I am still considering an Accord EX-L even with this issue.
I'd say the suspension system of the Accord has to be one of the worst in the auto industry. If you drive perfectly smooth roads all the time, you won't be aware, but heaven help you if you hit minor pot holes and road imperfections! If you don't have spinal problems now, drive the Accord for awhile and you will have.
Hendo56 Thank you for your comments. I was considering a new Civic EX-L but will pass on that for the Accord EX-L without navigation. I was the proud owner of a 1986 Accord LX and it was the BEST car that I have ever owned! I am happy that you are happy with your Accord and yes, they do well what you want them to do and are priced well for most consumers.

I've bought the same car. Sport with CVT and its an amazing car overall. I have nothing to say about it.
I had honda accord 2010 and 2014 will be my next car inshaa Allah

Joshua Wick yes bro

The Honda Accord is legendary! Great review for the BEST car in its class!
I really like your review. I like the sport model. I am going to test drive one soon!

I bought the ex-l v6 which is supposed to get up to 34mpg...why am i averaging 9mpg?
Which one should I get? This one or Nissan Maxima?
Thank You :)
HONDA IS BEST THAN NISSAN
Just don't get a 2010 Nissan Maxima.

No split folding rear sear?! Finest all round "family sedan." Give me a break. Deal breaker.

I have a 2013. I've driven all kinds of road conditions, good and bad. My spine is just fine, thank you. And so is my Accord!
Myron is not a Honda Accord fan, I guess. And of all the reviews that I have read and seen about the Accord, NO ONE has said what he said!
Apparently not. I've had mine for over a year now, and I love it. It does what a car should do- get you there comfortably and reliably.
