The Wizard has it made. Personal mechanic to the Jay Leno of bad decisions.
That title really suits Hoovie well.
"The jay leno of bad decisions"😂😂
Yes hoovie is wizards children's college fund...👨🎓👩🎓😂😂😂
Jay Leno employs his own Wizard to fix his mistakes...
Glenn Carpenter:
Not really. He lives beyond his means.......and he has an Asian ole lady (most/majority tend to be gold-diggers and extremely brain washed with materialism)............expect Discovery ID episode down the road.....lol!
Hoovie, you really need to improve the Wizard's audio in these videos.
Yes he needs a mic please Hoovie
Hoovie has enough audio problems by himself forget about wizard... lol
🙂 maybe hes hating ☺️
Wireless mics on amazon under $50. WTF dude.
@@joeno4683 Still better camera than the one that use wizard on his channel.
I stop watching wizard channel because make me dizzy, it's like watching wizard living inside of a bubble. 😜
half the cost of the wizard should be storage fees
Surely you have noticed the cavernous size of the "shed? He could run two chop shops, a car dealership, a porn studio and still have plenty of parking to share.
@@timsmith854 That's the kind of garage Tyler should have bought in the first place rather than build that garage onto his house. Jay Leno is smart enough to use airplane hangars.
@@THOMMGB Agreed.
Hoovie- "removing the engine to repair it could be worse."
Wizard- "Ah shit here we go again"
make a coffe table out of the PIUS ENGINE
Hoovie bought the cheapest 500e in the USA
Rising Embers Gaming Was going to say just that. I drove one of those in 1992. It was quite special then.
E60 AMG or E500, hopefully...
That's what I'm hoping for.
Damn it! just about to say that.
@@jbarnhart2653 E60s sadly go for 200k+ in europe ;-(
Seeing Hoovie and the Wizard together is like the gift that keeps on giving! My favorite comedy duo!
And Tyler's wallet... The Wallet That Just Keeps Giving.
Hoovie: "We can just go out and push the button again"
Wizard: "Oh, I disabled all of that."
Hoovie does seem absolutely perfect material for Police Academy.
Not the training facility for police officers - the movie series.
Just take the cop car to the track and it will instantly have issues on camera for you! Problem solved!
He should at least try to jump a drawbridge.
While the engine is out perform all services and upgrade the exhaust
Nooo he will do that after few more explosions dont worry this is hoovie why do all the things at once when you cam do it easy in about 20 times
I have a full Milltek exhaust (headers and turbo back) for my 996 turbo x50. Sound is phenomenal and the turbos spool to full boost by 3700 rpm. I look for every tunnel I can find just to hear it!
"not the wizards fault" T-shirt is freaking awesome :D
Sperm whale oil $0.69, that's hilarious. Nice one Wizard ;)
The wizard practically milked him for all hes got.
It's not only a joke, whale oil has excellent properties.
Nick Slouka when wizard see another car he just thinks, “Nice more money.”
Probably not so nice from the poor whales perspective.
Sperm whale oil was once used in automatic transmissions. Dexron replaced it in 1972.
OH MY GOSH THE WIZARD HAS A JOHN DEERE 317! That little dude does epic donuts!! 🔥🔥🔥
"It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas."
Good quote, Blue's brothers one of those films you can watch over and over like Hunt for Red October and Tombstone.👍
"It's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it."
FIx the cigarette lighter.
We're on a mission from God.
But does it have SCMODS?
OMG my heart melted u rolled that Diplomat in at the beginning ! I had an old 85 5th ave that I swapped a police/taxi 8.5 rear end into and did an intake, cam, carb, ignition upgrade (to the 318) when i was in HS and College...absolutely loved every bit of that car!! It was silver and had the silver (I guess) interior, the pillow leather seats were AMAZING. Miss that car so much!!
Just need a little glue and some elbow grease
Car wizard: that’ll be 9k
I taint Mistaken yo 😂😂😂😂
Ye he kinda ripping him off but he dum to pay for it lol, also most of the time they not even the cheapest ones, I’ve seen them Craigslist for cheaper
How can a guy that finds the cheapest this and the cheapest that find the most expensive mechanic in the USA.
Lmao...sometimes i question if his prices are actually real ...or if he’s doing for the Tubes 😂😂
I taint Mistaken yo he really ripped him off lol
Nice you got a w124 e500?
Or w140 s class may be
Junaid Khosa The “very special” should be a pretty solid hint it’s a 500e. Not saying a regular s class isn’t special, but the 500e is on another level.
@@goodperspon007 only 2 cars came with the 16 inch 8 hole: the SL and the w124 500e/E500 and I'm jealous as a hornet that he got one.
I guess you don’t have a restraining order on the wizard anymore
Very well done, the way you handled the sound... Must be a pain in the but, to do the cutting
So entertained with this video.
Loved every single second of it
Your relationship with the wizard is priceless.
You need those pipes welded?? Send them to me, AWS certified and I’ll put some clean TIG beads on that for you!
Now we are talking! I can't understand why the common fix is to thread some bolts in and create a potential leak point? Just weld them up and forget about it.
Victor V nothing like a clean bead around the pipe to seal it up for the rest of its life!
@Simon Chuo American Welding Society
You can pin them with them still on the engine. That's the only reason I didn't weld them.
Welding thin pipe into a expensive ass Porsche motor is quite a bit of work to do.
The Wagoneer had some amazing stock rims for the time period. One of my favorites.
What a pleasant update video. I think most people would agree... the Imperial looks amazing. It looks so ... “Regal”. Thanks for the video.
All that money originally for a 911 turbo to find out they went cheap and glued cooling tubes on smh wow
Y they can’t just bolt them on is dum
I reckon they were bolted on it was just a cowboy job.
Welcome to the German quality myth...they are designed to last as long as the lease.
That's the thing about European cars. They're pretty, high performance, high dollar, and in high demand. But they're only good as long as they have a warranty!
@@5bananas1 No, that's factory. Pinning is an aftermarket thing.
Strange as it sounds, I prefer the old style police lights. The new LED ones are practically seizure inducing.
9:26 "it's going to a pretty big RUclips channel on the west coast" it's Doug, it has to be!
Eli Spencer or maybe vehicle virgins?
Daddy Doug is smarter than that😂
I bet it's DDE!
Vehicle virgins probably unfortunately
Continues to entertain at every turn via cars houses choices. Thank you Hoovie
I really enjoy listening to you two nattering about cars. Wow. Can't believe the Wizard can repair all these autos.
"I want to be lumber sexual"-hoovie 2019
For the guy that loves his wood.
@@ShainAndrews and Sperm whales.................I just couldn't let that pun go by....
The Wizzard did absolutely nothing wrong! Porsche and BMW are cutting corners in production by using Glue, Plastic, and cheap Rubber hoses in their engines. They claim these cheaper materials are just as good and they weigh less than metal fasteners, aluminum, and industrial threaded rubber. They are wrong on all claims. The weight difference with using these cheaper materials can only be weight in ounces not pounds.
This is a way of life with the Germans. How about that infamous crossover pipe in the BMW N62 V8's? If that isn't a giant middle finger to mechanics and owners, I dunno what is. $7k to $9k fix at the dealer for a less than $1 seal that goes bad. LOL. FFS there's no need for this. NONE. The cooling systems on all these cars are complete shit. Same goes for VW. Most of these repairs cost more than the car is worth.
@@CleanSC it doesn't matter to the rich people that buy them new though just the people that buy used then get burned later thinking they got a good deal a 100k car is still 100k prices at 10 years old I know I've been there to many times.
@@Sophiechic Oh yes it does matter. Wealthy people don't buy Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, or McLaren... they lease them. The only people that buy Porsches or any type of supercar are nouveau-riche, that means people who just recently came into money.
@@Sophiechic The bottom line is that shit like this hurts resale and reputation. That affects sales to a certain degree. However, it's a hit they are willing to take. The "you gotta play to play" mentality. That's entirely stupid. It's an excuse that overpaying for a substandard product is ok if you're rich. Fuck that. Make it right, make it last so people aren't getting screwed out of thousands because a 50-cent piece of plastic failed. It's ridiculous and infuriating.
This is a totally well-known and documented fault with Mezger engines. Definitely not the Wizard's fault.
Yep, this is all dramatically blown out of proportion. This is a known maintenance item that is expected to be completed. Just like rod bearings on s54 and s65 BMW engines.
with all the publicity and the success of the wizard's youtube channel you have given him you'd thought you get some discount hahah
I love it when the topic is how much The Wizard is gonna be charging Tyler.
low key wizard needs an anger translator!!! much love and respect my dude ;')
Love the Mercedes w124 500e. Do wish you got monoblocks for it though, w124s look amazing on monos. Smart purchase!
Memories, my first car was a police auction 1984 Plymouth Gran Fury with a pursuit package. Loved that car. Had grounding issues on most of the electrical and it ended up in a junk yard after the K frame broke and the transmission bell housing was twisted and cracked at several bolts, other then that, it was a great car. Wish I had another one just because.
"I'm looking at my big woodie.". Lol!
:0)
We need more videos with that police car, a lot more!! 😊😍
Love watching a real, true full mechanic.
Just love how the Wizard doesn't need other customers at his garage, Hoovie just pays his bills alone!
That Chrysler is the bee's knees! All it needs is a bumper sticker that says "MAFIA STAFF CAR".
More cars then I've had in 30 years, just crazy
Oh yes. A W124 500E.
Subtle reference through the Mercedes-Benz cloth bag in the Imperial.
Thanks Hoovie, you've made my day.
Those old school Black & Whites are awesome with the mechanical light bar. Takes me back in time.
Tyler please DO NOT SELL your Imperial. That one's a KEEPER
crikey you spend more in one repair than my whole care cost, and I've kept that thing for over a decade
@Oggy we say it in england too ;)
Nice throwback to the wizard army days with the bills being so detailed, just like on a maintenance log. Nice touch
Hoovie always makes me feel better about my own auto ($$$) related decisions!
Ahhhhhh, that famous Porshe quality glue strikes again.
Edit: 1) get Miata. 2) Take to track. 3) Fun.
The answer is always Miata. Except when it's MX-5 or Eunos Roadster.
The Wizard will be retired in 5 years. Hoovie will be working until he's 91, or keels over. Whichever comes last.
Is it weird that I can’t help but smile while watching any of hoovies videos ?
That Imperial is one nice car. Well done, I would suggest it’s a keeper.
does the wizard have other clients?
does he need other clients?
LMFAO, GOOD ONE.
No time!
does he have room in the garage for other clients?
I think hoovie is like 0-4 at the track lol. You’ll finish a track day one day!
i Finally Found Car Issues in Las Vegas aired on Direct t v ch.266 at 11pm Saturday night for a back to back episode , Awesome.. i love it
Hell yeah BROTHER .... You're on the hoovies garage RUclips channel!
Weird announcement. ANYTHING* on a Porsche usually requires taking out the engine.
And taking out the engine in a 911 is not difficult. They are designed to be dropped.
Flat tire? Bad shock? Broken front signal light?
@@j_freed exactly
He talks about it if it is a big thing to take out the engine but at racing circuits they do it within one day. They are designed to take it out and work on it and all around and putting it back in. The 3000 usd is if a lot of small parts need to be replaced. Even then. It's not a week of labour.
Yeah, this is weird. Hi, I'm Haven, a Porsche mechanic. You can do a lot without removing the engine. All the service Items are accessible. You can replace all the accessories without removing the engine. The A/c compressor is tough, but not impossible if you loosen the engine mounts. Fortunately, when you do need to remove it, a good Porsche mechanic remove it, repair what's needed, and reinstall in a nice easy going 8hr shift. If I'm trying to bust my ass to get it back on the track, more like 6hrs. Modern 911s are very well designed.
Tyler did you just buy a W140 👀 S600 v12 the legendary land yacht if you did now your talking 🤞😎
Damn you Hoovie! Literally watched your video and the exact same thing happened on my 997 Turbo. Engine out and I only just picked it up yesterday.
Wow, heavy drink episode... 6 Hoovie cars at Wizards = 6 shots. Good thing I'm at home watching this.
Got to be a 500e....though they stopped making them in 94 I think.
Waiting for a lumbersexual Hooptie wall calendar
Love those imperials I had a 78 mercury grand marquis big old boat rode great.
beautiful episode today I enjoyed watching thanks
Doug roasted you again
Hoovie buys more cars than I eat meals
Doug is just jealous
Not the Wizard's Fault
That Grand Fury Patrol car is awesome, I look forward to that episode and I do hope you keep that car. It’s so awesome to have a old police car
Hey Hoovie, love watching your videos! Plus the Wizard is the man! Mark in NZ
"This week on 'Car Wizard is Getting Rich'..."
The police car is also the Equivalent of a dodge diplomat

Anytime your ground wire is getting very hot there's a good chance the ground is weak or the ground cable may be bad. Clean all connections going to battery and to frame
Same thing happened to my 04 996 turbo x50. It's not necessarily glue that is used to mount the coolant pipes to the block, it's more of a semi permanent epoxy. Best bet is to have the pipes welded into place
Hoovie is a hoarder 😂😂
He hoards crappy cars
car wizard prices are sooo youtuberish hahahhaa but that's ok right tyler...
Caught the show last week. Very cool.
Jandjautowrecking is a good company. I bought a transmission for my galant a few years ago on Ebay. I got stuck in their driveway with my trans am in a few inches of snow and they freed me with a forklift. I have put close to 50k miles on it with no issues!!! :) Transmission was like $150, can't get a better deal than that.
Squeak and rattle free in a 50 year old car, thats nothing crazy
buy a brit car like me, the squeaks and rattles all broke
Loudest thing in the car is the clock.... Oh wait that's the rocker shaft worn though
No squeaks and rattles in a car that won't run. Silent as the tomb, and just as fast.
I would say ive fixed that by going with a non british motor, but that doesnt even run yet!
maybe the problem lies deeper. Someone call cash for junk cars
You should do a video summing up the total that you have paid the wizard since your channel started
I've had 2 911s. Both broke at/immediately after track days. Sigh. Loved those cars.
Pinned the coolant lines on my 997 GT3 for the cost of a tap, the screws , and red locktite. The motor had to come out for a power steering line leak.
Also look at the plastic coolant elbows. Not sure if they are a problem but n the 996.
Has the Wizard ever recommended a fix for under $3000? :D
Toyota Previa
he is making a killing off of Tyler you would think he at least would cut him a break after the millionth dollar
The Wizard should have $-$ signs glued onto his glasses every time he sees Tyler. :-)
You have no clue. Wizard is already cheap and then gives Tyler a discounted rate and he works on ANY vehicle from Jeep to Ferrari. There are also only so many hours in a day. Wizard could have a line of cars waiting but they can only be repaired one at a time. So after dropping a 911 motor, repairing it, and reinstalling it, a few days later he made $3k and maybe $2k of that is take home. Wowee. A dealer would be almost triple.
Hoovie: To restore decal wood you can use THIN coats of Minwax Wood Stain. apply with a sponge brush, let dry, second coat then clear coat. Try "Golden Pecan"
Hoovie in his Imperial. I've never seen such a happy face.
Did anyone see that old video where hoovie says I searched the country and found the MOST expensive mechanic!!
Damn! Those tyres are old!! Is that the wizards 🧙♂️ fault??
Please never change the outro song, I love it!

Nice Hoovie bought a 500E! Makes me miss my W124 lol
I'd like to puff on the Cannabis Cigar with Hoovies and the Car Wizards and get all schmoked up.
Prices are insane. And while I am now retired, worked on cars 40+ years.
The wizard really did come over budget on the Prius. In socal there are several hybrid shops that exist mainly to service Prius. A typical engine swap with the engine is $1200 depending on mileage and the gen of the prius.
I love how every time Tyler talks about expensive or cheap auto parts O’Rileys plays a ad.
You should have a second mic for the Wizard. :D
Dammit, this was clickbait. And I fall for it every time.
3:44 the first real and true reaction I've seen on this channel...ever
Great to see the cop car (we don't get your TV show here in the UK).
If that replacement box for the Maserati is another ZF box, *please* check the correct fluid with zf - hardly any of their boxes use standard red ATF, they have several different Lifeguard fluids... (not a troll comment, just trying to help!)
