When you go to the day care, if the guy says "they prefer to play with others" they're incompatable, if he says anything else, it means they're making eggs. That means if a pokemon shows any interest in you, even if it just wants to play, then you are in it's egg group and it is DTF.

Penny's originally from Galar. Sword and Shield were the first pokemon games to have Pokekids dressed as Eevee. Penny only uses eeveelutions.
I believe Penny was a Pokekid at some point.
Then again, in Pokemon Masters, she talks about always having wanted a pokemon suit, so I think it's more likely she WANTED to be a Pokekid, but couldn't for whatever reason

Considering that human trainers often dress the part of their theme...
It's possible that this is an effect of past pokemon relationships.
And considering there is a human-like pokemon egg group... and that Ash can tank a hyper beam, we can infer that humans are the scariest pokemon.
Plus we know that some humans can use Aura, psychic powers, fighting moves, several Normal and Dark moves (scratch, fury swipes, tackle, skull bash, bite, crunch, thief, knockoff, etc.), bullet seed, grass whistle, rock climb, surf, dive, and more.
This implies that humans have a very diverse movepool with lots of good coverage. This would be incredibly useful competitively.

One thing people need to realize is it Pokemon were not originally intended to be animals they were intended to be Yokai chaotic spirits of nature so there were intended to be normal animals in the Pokemon world.
Also Gardevoir only recently got put into the human like egg group I think it was gen 7 or 8
They're essentially non-animals in general since they're either yokai of some sort or kaiju or aliens.

Palafin-Zero deserves some formality to it that it currently lacks. After all, superheroes are usually portrayed as working office jobs, so Palafin shouldn't look like Finizen with an extinct flower's fruit imprinted on it, it should look like Finizen fused with a suit and tie.
Penny being confirmed as a furry is pretty funny idea, just walking into a convention seeing everyone wearing Pokémon outfits lol. But that image of Garfield as Incineratoroar is so cursed but I like it at the same time.

I mean, human shaped egg group clearly.
More than likely Human-like and Field, considering most mammalian Pokemon belong to the Field Egg group.
Honestly, I think humans are a special pokemon like ditto but reverse. They can breed any pokemon of opposite gender and instead of the eggs species being decided by the other partner like in dittos case. It's always human. I could go on and explain why I think people are special pokemon I the pokemon world. But rather then go on a tangent. I'll point out the many cases of people turning into pokemon like ghosts and Kadabra. Note Kadabra is in the human like egg group, and most ghosts are in the amorphous egg group. But the only confirmed case or atleast heavily implied case is the Froslasss in legends. In which it mirrors a real world story of a man who married a yukionna and had kids with her. Given the mission is given by their human decedent and Froslass is female only and also not in the human or amorphous egg group. This is the only conclusion I can come to.
Edit: oh I also want to point out that the man didn't know he was married to a froslass even after she had a kid. Which would normally be an egg. Meaning it's really likely she gave BIRTH like a normal human.
This is very unsettling given that the lore in the Sinnoh games gives no examples to a specific species when talking about marriage. And even alludes to their being no difference between man and pokemon. Meaning a Mimikyu a pokemon like a foot tall might be able to give birth to a normal sized baby. Oh yeah and it's a ghost and in the amorphous egg group.

@arkoosdark oh yeah, he can talk to pokemon. But humans with powers are no oddity in the pokemon world with psychics, hex maniacs, fairy girls, and absurdly strong martial artists.
It's clear humans have the ability to use special powers but. The biggest evidence is what most likely is human ancestors Oranguru, the pokemon that can control other pokemon. Then there's the fact we learned exactly how pokeballs are made in legends. And none of the parts allow mind control.
Humans are the ones controlling them, but it gets worse. Every step they take, the pokemon likes them more, which is crazy in legends, making them do slave labor like collecting stones or berries increases it as well. Not only does the trainer have mind control, but also slowly, brain washes the pokemon without knowing.
They also have 4 moves. Fight, Pokemon, bag, and run.
Plus, pokemon in the wild never have EVs even tho they fight other pokemon in the wild. They only gain evs when used by a trainer. Plus, the freindship boosts.
Z moves and megas require a trainer to use.
Pokemon trainers not only have some crazy mind control powers that can even subdue legendary pokemon but also have some sort of power to improve them. And seemingly aren't bound to a single type as there's hex maniacs, psychics, and fairy girls all seemingly with super natural powers.
All I'm saying is that people in the pokemon world are OP, and there's probably a good reason they are the dominant species.

Regarding animals in the Pokémon World:
When the first games were released, Red and Green took place in an alternate version of the real world, the Kanto region of Japan circa 1996 (present day at the time). It was intended to be the same as the real Earth except that sometime in the recent past, mysterious creatures were identified among regular plants and animals.
It wasn't really until Gen 3 that they started moving the franchise in a new direction, hence why normal animals are seen in early anime episodes, card art, and promotional material
According to the guy that wrote the first couple of seasons, for the anime, there are supposed to be traces of real animals but eventually Pokémon took over the ecosystem.
Hence, why in the first few seasons there are references to real animals like fish, cows and non-Pokémon birds.

Back in the earlier episodes of the original run of pokemon, you could see a very limited number of actual normal animals. These included things like tropical fish, and a spider.
I'm pretty sure it'd be common knowledge on whether you can or cannot breed Pokémon in the Pokémon world. Like, cmon. Marrying them was normal

The fire emblem characters like Byleth don't change gender, they are just different universe/timeline versions of each other that can be either one. Also, congrats to those trainers for having some certain fun with their Pokémon. Especially the one with the Meowscarada, did it with no regrets and grass kitty looks happy too.
The Seel pose was probably inspired by the "Banana pose" from real life seals but taken to a extreme degree.

For that egg group thing: I believe the reason humans aren't in any pokemon's egg group is the same reason why they can't be caught in a pokeball, use moves, etc: because they don't have enough sufficient whatever that is that powers pokemon's vitality, moves, etc. However, since pure Aura is somehting that can be used by a lot of pokemon, most notably the Lucario line, AND some humans can indeed use Aura given enough potential and training, it might not be too far of a stretch to assume that these Aura-adept humans can infact breed with similarly Aura adept pokemon. This might also tie to the "previously humans and pokemon are the same" lore.
This means it's theoretically plausible for a Lucario to mate with Sir Aaron, Ash Ketchum, and similar Aura-adepts.
If that girl has a hint of Aura in her, she's fucked, literally.

It is likely just a failsafe that it can't catch people, in an Sun and Moon episode Prof. Faba accidentally shrunk Ash and a few others with the same technology that's used in pokeballs.
There was a throw away like in manga where they Say pokeballs have a safety SO they cant be use on humans , and a i belive there is a episode of Pokémon where Satoshi was shrinked down with the same tech from a pokeball

2 things:
1 - There is at least one example of real-world creatures in Pokemon I know of, and that is an early episode of the 1st season. Ash runs across both Pidgey and Pidgeotto, and though I forget which, one of them is eating a worm out of the ground (like birds usually do) when Ash finds it.
2 - Noble says ball gag with the Gardevoir/Correct Gaming Posture meme, but given the rest of Gardy's appearance in the second pic my mind saw a mini-microphone.
There are also some tropical fish and the pokedex constantly referring to normal animals.

those kind of ballons are more sensitive to changes in temperature, and given that you live in southern California, which never gets blow freezing let alone snowy, EVER. you should have a near immortal ballon there noble. It also helps that you have the ballon in a properly insulated and heated room of your house

Yea, almost every Pokemon movie that came out just before a new generation and season was released, had a pokemon from the next generation as a sort of tease. Such as Zorua and Zoroark being from Unova but the movie they first showed up in ,Zoroark - Master of Illusions, was the last movie to take place in Sinnoh.
As far back as the first episode of the anime, we were shown there were more than 151 Pokemon, because Ash saw Ho-Oh overhead. Then, before the end of their journey in Kanto, Misty hatched Togepi. And for that matter, most, if not all seasons show off Pokemon from the next gen shortly before ending, not just the movies. Ash lost the Johto league to a Blaziken, for example, and May had a Munchlax.
I love that I can just always come to this channel when I'm down/depressed and after a couple videos I feel alot better and can laugh again. Thanks Noble!

I feel the implications of the "Human-Like" Egg Group is that Humans are in that Egg Group, and while more headcanon than implied by canon, I feel humans also fit in the Field Egg Group, though unlike "Human-Like", as mentioned, it's more headcanon than implied canon.

As an owner of 3 cats I can confirm.
There is an egg group called "human-like", so if we are to fall into any category, it'd be this one. Coincidentally, the human-like egg group debuted in gen4, the same generation they mentioned humans and pokemon used to marry each other.
To be fair, its the most terrifying when someone is visibly angry and just goes completely still, before looking up at you with a smile that says your lifespan can be measured in minutes, or seconds if they're feeling merciful that day.

In the first season, there was a diff between real animals and pokemons, both existing as common animals and others as fantasy to train and battles. But since jhoto the common ones had already been deleted to be all pokemons, for example hamburguers were now made of milktanks or tauros

Two things, one, there is A "human" egg group. Also, pokemon red and I think Fire red makes A LOT of references to indian elephants(check Raichu's entry for an example) within the pokedex. So actual animals are canon to the pokemon world and, consider Human/Pokemon Romances ARE canon to the pokemon world.... you tell me.
