It is always hard when you have so many good ideas, then have to fit them into a story. as an author, I hate having to leave out good ideas.

Really enjoyed Self Titled. Haven't been able to get into the new one yet. It's just a lot to take in and wasn't quite the album I was looking for at this time but maybe some time in the near future!

Yes. It's my all time favorite Dream Theater album!! I love it! Concept albums about the future are nothing new ( see Rush's Clockwork Angles, 2112, etc. . ). But it's wonderful to have this band invite us to remember that some of the most powerful things in life involve creativity. And that a world without creativity ( check out Frank Zappa 's concept album " Joe's Garage " for more on that topic ) is not a fun place to be. Excellent job, DT gang!

The show definitely lags behind in quality to the music. If that was the concept they were going for, they could've put more work into the animations and character illustrations during the live experience. Exceptional music for a disappointing live experience
Gotta admit, not crazy over the last two records. DTOE was overall good, but there were parts i didnt like. The selftitled had great highs and very disapointing lows. That one didnt do to much for me. But this album, blew me away! I love the vocals on this album and i think they kinda honed their production technique. The lyrics were fantastic aswell. I loved how they also embraced their more pop side with certain songs and it was a nice contrast to the crazier more zany technical parts to the record. Atonishing to say the least! :)

To me, it seems like Jordan has the spotlight. I have a Rudess/Morgenstein cd and he is a great player. But I don't think ANY instrument should over shadow the guitar player.

well it sucks pretty bad, very disappointing, DT is just marketing and sales nowadays, lack of inspiration regarding the story, the music ...all very boring 2 hours...and I bought thickets for Paris - 2 shows 5th/6th of March, what a waste of money!

one of their best albums ever. The amount of work they put in this is amazing, and lyrically it's one of their best releases.

TIME is what is needed for loving this album and ofcourse oppportunities
