Mitch, absolutely man! I've got a specific track in mind too for a movie introduction..... the movie in my mind is set in the future, on the Moon. The movie opens with the camera passing over grey-coloured dust and sand, and then larger rocks as Bridges in the Sky plays from 0:44 with the choir-like section and throat-singing. The camera, we now realise is panning up and over a huge mountain on the Moon. When it crests that mountain and looks over, Bridges in the Sky is at 1:36 as Petrucci kicks in his guitar and the camera unfolds an amazing vista - behold, in a vast crater on the Moon is a sprawling Moon base, with advanced robots and suited human figures roaming around doing all manner of busy things. We cut to a montage-like scene where by the rhythm of the heavy section is beautifully synched with mechanical things happening on screen - bang! - the crunch as a robot effortlessly tosses aside a Moon boulder into a distant heap, bang! - an exosuited human engages a high-powered laser to fuse the lunar regolith into a solid material for building domes and passageways. ---------- Anyway, in my mind it's cool.

Let's go baby!!! So glad you guys are a very productive band. I wish Metallica and Megadeth had made as much progress as you guys had since the pandemic!! lol
"A change of seasons" is the exact reason why I've become a greater fan of Dream Theater last couple of years in comparison to previous ones in which I just heard a couple of compositions and just liked them and didn't pay much attention to this band. And that is not because I was unfortunate to lose my Mom last year (which on a personal level made Portnoy's message in that song resonate with me even stronger today than when I first discovered it back in 2019-2020.) This particular song is a masterpiece in almost every aspect - it is a 20-something minute long EP, has 3 incredible solos, but the lyrics are so strong and so powerful, I always want to like... jump and shout the end phrases before it finishes. The album cover is also great. I am a fan of winter type of guy so I have had periods in my life where I felt like a small kid playing naked in the snow. Because life's really cold sometimes (in a metaphoric sense). The other great reason why I love that song is that it's about life in general and the maturity that you get and the lessons that you learn from such an experience losing a parent/loved one when you're mid-age. I'm 30 now and I believe that in 1995 these guys were around that point in life so it makes perfect sense to have this song pan out the way it did and transcend this truly meaningful message about life. Guys are amazing! They made a wonderful concert in Sofia, Bulgaria this Monday. But my true DREAM is to hear Change of Seasons the next time around. I wonder if that would ever be possible in my lifetime?
what are these guys doing is fabulous , making a new album in every 2 years since + 20 years.. with 100 and 100 riffs in each one.. they are so fucking creative.. look for exemple at Metallica simple songs and they are struggling making new ideas
You can tell the instruments they play by their shoes. Drummer has thin, light chucks, singer has big show-y boots, keys & guitar just some comfortable whatever trainers and bass got the heavy duty anchors on his feet.

I'm hoping the new album has a more dynamic mastering provided in both the Hi-Res and Blu-ray release. They have done this for the entire Mangini era so I am hoping for this trend to continue on 'A View From The Top Of The World'.
I think it's really awesome that the three guys being isolated without touring during the pandemic allowed everyone to just be hyper-creative. Petrucci with his solo album, LTE3 coming out and now this. I'm glad it's over and they can get back to touring, but I love that they just had a watershed of creativity and put a bunch of stuff out for the fans.
And not a single word or question put to, from the best drummer they’ve ever had. So much for treating Mangini like family. Despicable what the band and management did to him. DT should be ashamed. Some ‘business’ decision.

F U C K N O.. dont need the other guy.. EVER.. MM is DT.
@@meshuggahman3225 he’s DT’s drummer now but he isn’t DT…
John Myung is wearing the boots from the album cover.
@7:30 __ So what I’m hearing is this is a musical revisit to past songs, but with MM unleashed!
I'm hoping the new album has a more dynamic mastering provided in both the Hi-Res and Blu-ray release. They have done this for the entire Mangini era so I am hoping for this trend to continue on 'A View From The Top Of The World'.
They definitely provide a 5.1 surround mix on the Blu-ray of the Deluxe version, which I find ever better.
There is a new solo album from JLB coming? Sweet!
Pretty damn hype for this not gonna lie
And the drummer as per usual just sits n stares!! :)
We appreciate you making good use of the pandemic. Thanks for the great music! 🤘
October 22, get here soon and just take my damn money! Side note: John Myung spoke! Are we on the verge of an apocalypse? LOL
7:02 Myung starts to speak. 😊
JM talking. the best part!
Amazing
Congrats for ur 1st Grammy, Guyss
And not a single word or question put to, from the best drummer they’ve ever had. So much for treating Mangini like family. Despicable what the band and management did to him. DT should be ashamed. Some ‘business’ decision.
JM the calmest man in this best team, hahhaa, good luck DT
I like how JM is cool there saying nothing lol. His presence is epic!
Indonesia broo...
Everyone’s just going chaos with JM’s talk. Looks like he’s got a mutation power on the talk.
Alcoholics Anonymous Drinking Game - Drink every time James smiles! lol
7:00 OMG he speaks.
