I'm one of those fans that always look forward to new DT material. It's amazing that their music is still relevant at this point of their career.

Having just heard the entire album today, I can happily confirm the rest of the songs are amazing. There's so much content in them and some unexpected twists. I'm trying to compare AVFTTOTW to previous albums but I can't, which is a good thing imo.
I can honestly say, DT never disappoints me and always exceeds my expectations.

Agreed. I love literally every album, I think they're all uniquely genius and extremely entertaining and satisfying to listen to over and over.
Dream Theater is a epic Band,they can take any song and make it amazing.They are so talented as a group,I really like there musical sound. That's why they been around for so long!!!! I love the creative headspace they’re in. I hope that as I refine my playing and writing abilities, I find myself with other musicians who are on the same wavelength like these guys are. They seem to quickly agree on things, not out of indifference but like-mindedness and appreciation. That sounds like heaven, so it’s no wonder why the musical result sounds so heavenly as well.

View From The Top is DEFINITELY their best "Mangini" album. Plus, the production is fantastic for a change. SWEET sounding album.
I like it a lot, but I have to say I like ADTOE a little more.
Honestly dream theatre fans are music lover.. Only good musicians who understand music love them.. They have the most die hard fans... "Only good musicians who understand music love them.." I'm a very low level guitar player and i'm an hardcore fan of them. You don't have to be a good musician to appreciate good music.

I never thought that a Dream Theater album would bore me as much as the new one. For years, always the same melodies. This is so sad for me because I really wanted to like the new album and listen to it every day, but unfortunately it is not so !

Go Roie! Great interview and yes we are excited to hear the new stuff. Guaranteed that any new DT album will be on regular rotation all that year and sometimes the only album that's on rotation. Each one is an epic.
The material on the last album DOT gave me alot of confidence in the increasing cohension in DT with Mangini. I still don't think the songwriting is close to the stuff they did in the 90's but that was 25 years ago. Progressive bands don't play the same album over and over again and nor would we want them to. Looking forward to the drop.
I'm looking forward to this new one and seeing them live again. It has to be really hard to come up with new ideas after all this time and so I understand why the want to revisit old ideas and see what they can do to update them. Great band!

Really cool how this albums note or next key choices are used not like any other DT album like each one has a placed and moved around before moving to the next.

These guys are all amazing musicians and I love them, I just need them to stop ironing their hair straight it just looks so bad, especially James and Mike. Just my opinion that their natural hair looks so much better.
This DT is so overwhelming unique, they r like superheroes with individual powers.
