James doesn't care probably because of his lack of involvement in the writing process, while you see Jordan and Petrucci giggling with each other.

James is sad, because he knows he can`t sing the astonishing live.

+algeroth666 to dt fans james is like family, it's ok that he's a bit inconsistent live these days, we know what happened, and we know what he used to be. and he still always sounds great on the album
I love DT but hate individuality. It is a group but they always tend to have as little input from Mike and John M as possible.
They could have done with out David Campbell. Jordan could have orchestrated the entire thing on one keyboard. There was nothing impressive as far as orchestrations. Jordan did a better job on Beneath The Surface than Campbell did on the Astonishing
