- Pacific Coastal is a regional airline headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, that flies a fleet of Beechcraft 1900Cs, 1900Ds, and Saab 340A and B models.
One of their shorter routes is the Vancouver to Victoria route, a route that's just 60 kilometres between the two airports.
Today, I try out Pacific Coastal's Beech 1900D on this uniquely short flight!

That window tint makes it looks like Mexico in TV shows lol.
3000- hours in the 1900C/D…LOVED every second!
Great view beginning at
That short flight packs a lot of great scenery, love those glimpses through the cockpit windows as well. Nice footage aboard the 1900D!
I've flown this route many times. The scenery never fails to disappoint.
This is definitely on my bucket list one day!
I can understand your love for the 1900. I used to fly the 1900-D for a regional in the United States. It was a blast to fly! We had regular passengers that loved that plane too. I miss flying that bird.
Smart seat choice, most people don’t know that it’s quieter to the rear on a prop
I have been flying the 1900’s for 32years, and yes , love it. 19,000 hrs and counting. I suspect my company owns one of your former steeds, as it had a dark blue wing. G-ROC was the tail# ! Blue sky’s boys!
Thanks for supporting Canadian aviation during these tough times!
I have flown the 1900 many times in Northern Saskatchewan. It is a lot of fun!
Hopefully you enjoyed the Pasco Experience Alex!
I MISS hoping the Great Lakes 1900Ds from Cheyenne, WY (CYS) to Denver, Co (DEN).
Sitting at the back with a crosswind landing is the coolest view ever!!
Dude that’s me !!! I’m the first officer hahaha
Thank you, I did this flight about 24 years ago, best flight ever as it is so short and scenic.
Thanks for the trip report. Flew this route last September 2020 during the US forest fires which eliminated the views for me. Great to see the views I missed. 😎
This aircraft is quick for a propjob: Victoria to Port Hardy in 1 hour and 10 minutes, comfortable, and quiet.
One of my favourite things about living in Vancouver is access to the island. We should never take the beauty here for granted.
Great videos - you should do Harbor air and Heli jet Van to Vic and compare them
