I’ve owned two (2022, 2024)… they’ve been great.
hi, do you recommend the 2024 more? its going to be my first rr coming from x3
@@lu.sheng_ my 2024 didn’t have any issues with squeaks and rattles. My 2022 did (Covid caused a lot of quality control issues).
@@nickethan7547 thanks for replying... going to the showroom for a test drive soon. been seeing mixed comments abt RR cars some good some bad, got me thinking about it
@@nickethan7547 very logical ans. Do you face issue with your new 2024 defender? I am seeing peopld are complaining about electrical ans software issues in many foruma on defender. Are you facing any? I am planning to book soon hence wanted an opinion.
Straight up review, nothing too negative and nothing too positive. Just good natured thoughts and opinions. In the end, the consumer makes the decision!
The trend is to show your friends and family how much money you to deal with all the issues a new modern vehicle will bring.
$$$
It's absolutely so true, just wait til after the warranty expires and see the thousands of dollars in very complicated tech and elecical work that can only be serviced at a dealer ,bend over they will stick you huge repair costs
What's the appeal to overpriced highly problematic vehicles?
It helps yuppies identify eachother
I'm impressed Lucky made it through the video without a breakdown.
One of my cars is a Range Rover, I’ve owned it for 5 years and have zero issues.
@@adamsmith6731 yea because you don't drive it 😄
@@adamsmith6731Have you ever taken it off road for anything other than a wash and wax?
I really like this but i thought about how adding such a high-cost item might affect my overall financial goals? It's crucial i consider the long-term impact on your portfolio and financial stability
Instead of sinking a large chunk of cash into a depreciating asset, you might want to consider other options that could provide more stability and potential growth.
No doubt being financially free and able to afford these luxuries cannot be overemphasized, making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential.
You don't need that much, as long as you have 250k to 350k in cash, and earn at least 40k plus is fine. It not like you are going to pay the car off, get the car, drive it for a year or two then get something else. You don't need millions of money to enjoy nice things. You just deploy a small amount of income to have some fun.
Remember you are going to get this money back ( a good percentage) when you move it.
Most people miss it but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My Dad, as i remember started saving for retirement quite late but I know he was making more than 5k returns from his investments monthly and it was completely passive,
Consulting with a financial advisor could help you strategize and find the best ways to allocate your funds for both short-term enjoyment and long-term growth.
Great review! Love mine so far! Had a Range Rover Sport before with over 100k miles, no issues.
Like most Land Rovers, it looks nice enough, but will age like milk mechanically.
How so? Get out of it before the warranty is up or better yet, lease it. Luxury cars never age well....especially when it comes to depreciation.
@@MoragTong_ Lexus do!!
Shiny exterior plastic on an SUV? That would be a hard no.
That pooched out grille looks like a ball sack.
It will be in the shop more than it will be driven
old fat white guy take lol
People who haven't owned a LR say that are unreliable. I drove my first one over 230k miles, with nothing more than maintenance and tires. Second one 120k same !
I'm new to the Defender and it's wonderful! One LR ive driven in the desert off-road, the other in Costa Rica through everything there. Best muscle car!
I have a neighbor that has a 2024. It's been back in the shop twice. It looks cool, but I wonder of it is a moneypitt.
I’ve had Mercedes G400 2020. Was more then 10 times in shop in past 3 years. Various software and sensors bugs. But as IT guy I don’t consider software bugs as a reliability issue. And most of the issues LR have are software related. Even IPHONEs are getting various issues but people still buying them. But I feel like only people who cant afford luxury cars have this kind of comments. Lets be honest Rolls Royce is also one of most unreliable cars but rich people dont bull shit about it
@@mr.slippermanright brother
I just bought my second Defender, a 2024. The first one was a lease where I ended up with $20K worth of equity! No problems with either one. I also own a 2021 RR Sport. I think most people who criticize JLR products probably can’t afford them or have never owned one. The Defender is a fantastic vehicle that is worth every cent IMO.
Oh yes, worth it, I'm now better than the Joneses
What a good car to drive... around LR dealership.
Remember, on a vehicle still under any factory warranty you do not have to buy an extended service contract from where you buy the vehicle.
Go to other dealers, comparatively price the quality and reputation of the warranty as well as the time/miles and deductible size.
As long as you have cash, you can finance your new vehicle and, pay (out-of-pocket or credit card or cash) for an extended service contract.
In a used vehicle out of factory warranty It’s different because it has to be inspected and it may not be a price advantage to have a lot of different dealerships. Perform a inspection on a used vehicle and have each charge you for that inspection correctly.
🎉🎉🎉 Overall I could really like having this vehicle. Nice reporting on it. Blessings,Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸
Did you forget about the new GX?
The presentation looks good but I'd definitely have qualms about the horrendous depreciation and the reliability track record. Test one of the new Land Cruisers when you can.
will most of the cars has problem but this look on the road this defender it gets my attention we are the fan of landrover rangerover cuz all thier models are good looking timeless beauty
I love the new LR defender, I wanted the 90 2 dr version. I don’t want wrangler or bronco- I want defender.
When I bought my last new car in 2021, the LR defenders weren’t available locally in TX. They tried to sell me discovery sport, it was nice- but not nice enough. LR break a lot I hear, I’d probably lease if I buy one. Right now I’m holding onto my 2021 with 2% interest rate. Not buying anything anytime soon at higher interest rates
😂🤣!
Why the screen is so small?
I don't know if its subconscious or if it's part of the training of a salesman, but the use of "we" in the conversation is just hilarious, IMHO. It's a subtle way to draw the observer (be it remote or in-person) in like it's a collaboration. I see this so much in RUclips "walkaround" videos that I can't help but note it as a latent sales tactic.
If it's a pure review, a first-person dialog brings more authenticity. Again, IMHO only. Like what you do but some things you do really hit like "hard salesmanship". Maybe I'm just an old fart that's seen too many lots...
i actually like these just needs some wheels
very nice car!
No. No Land Rover is worth buying. With that said; I like the simple black/white look of this one - debadge it and it would look a lot better
Range rover is timeless, that means they have no eta when the shop will get parts and complete the repairs.
If it had a whippled LS and 6L85 it would be amazing and go for 250,000 miles. Hate if you want
It’s worth about 70% of MSRP… OR LESS
I didn't care for the vehicle at all the only thing I liked was the refrigerator where keeps the drinks cold
Cars are so expensive now, that one shouldn't drop collision after 10 years anymore.
Looks like a Bronco, which costs less.
And is a better and more capable trucklet.
Land Rover has been manufactured 1948 series I- initially way b4 ford broncos, they used them in Africa and other countries with actual rough terrain. America has pavement & roads🙄.
Doubt a ford bronco could do any sand, rainforest, mountains, waterfording, etc that defenders can do. Ford didn’t make 1st suv at all. Btw- a NICE loaded Ford broncos are 75- 100k- where have you been?
00:05:10 you said its a discovery instead of a defender. 😊
That’s the only one I couldn’t edit it out. I did it like 10 times lol
Climate touch controls trend need to fade away. They are very distracting.
Good video 😊 costs to much they have history mechanical problems buy USA only
Not reliable but does look nice..
I always loved the looks of these cars. I just wish they were built by the Japanese.
Ill take a Toyota any day
If you like it buy it. We honestly don’t care.
Drive it till it is out of warranty. What you never see on any Land Rover is 100,000 miles on the odometer.
Come into my garage, and spend some time with my FJ Cruiser.....
I had a real 110. Diesel. With the mechanical flaps below the windshield to let air in. This new thing here is NOT a Defender.
From the front side the hood looks deformed, as if it was in a accident.
dOne watching ❤
The interior looks like a very basic Toyota Highlander
I don't like the suspension 😢
I dont like that the wheels have no sidewalls. The breaks are too big for smaller offroad wheels
The 2 door with the v8 is the one to get
Don't blow smoke up my a.. . Land cruiser no way.
No, it is not worth it!
87K 😮
Ineos Grenadier all day! Its all steel and real. Land Rover is all plastic and gimmicks.
Overpriced and unreliable, I would never dream of purchasing any vehicle like that unless I was a mechanic.
Looks like a bronco 😂
What stood out in this video is your hairy legs it’s one thing to have problems it’s another to have it in the shop for long periods of time
I think it is cool, but also a tremendous waste of money. Your luck will be better throwing $10,000 on a roulette wheel.
Rivets? No. Discovery? No.
I once read or heard that people that wanted to go explore in Africa would use a Range Rover, but if they wanted to return from Africa, they would use a Land Cruiser. I personally would never buy a land Rover.
No
No not worth it at all. Junk it.
Endless money pit
Since when does Lucky push this crap?
Exterior 🤮
Run don’t walk away from that POS. Horrible reliability
🤮
Lucky is a clown. He talks about affordableity and then he reviews a lr that is over 100k, that is that Vegas mentality, anything for a buck, his review is weak.
Not feeling the transition music. Feels like a MLM training video. This whole format is garbage.
