Having my Blackwing for a short time now I can tell you, it's one of the most fun cars I've ever driven in my life. And being that I own the first manual black wing (Vin # 001) ever built it makes it just that much more special..

@arron stokes I believe it bro. I used to have a raven black 2017 ATS-V and that car handled like it was on rails. Super fun cars to drive on the street. I used to love going around a highway on or off ramp cloverleaf that was post marked 35 mph curve and take it at like 55-60 mph effortlessly. Then kids happened and I had to move onto the larger Caddy XT6 SUV for room. Enjoy, have fun and be safe!!!!!!

Alpha Chassis + MRC = Pure driving pleasure and driver confidence. Even though I now have a 718 GT4, I still miss that Alpha chassis and MRC from my previous SS 1LE. It is just so stable and confident inspiring

Great video. I have owned a 2014 V2 CTS-V Sedan, a 2017 and 2019 V3 CTS-V and been debating on getting this but the styling when debuted just didn’t do it for me, but the more I see it the more I am warming up to it. But if I did, my dilemma is deciding manual or 10 speed. Manual would be nice but as you mentioned in video you could stay in 3rd the whole time, for a fast shifting 10 speed. What would you choose?
As someone who owns one I cannot describe adequately the pure enjoyment of having a six speed manual with this engine. Do not even consider the auto. Trust me.
As someone who owns one and tracks my cars from time to time, I'm thrilled with my automatic overall. Yes at times I would like to have a manual but I have another car already for that itch. No regrets on the telepathic A10. In my single track outing, it's already better than the A8 in the '17 CTS-V I had.
Dude. Go manual. My V2 is auto still love this car and its faster. But the other is way more fun being a manual. They both make similar power but the manual allows such a better c9nection with the machine. Besides you can switch it to the no lift shift mode the Blackwing.
It is so good because it's essentially an updated Camaro ZL1 with four doors!

Would you take this as a driver’s car over the gt500 ? Would it suffer from fuel consumption and tire wear like the gt500 ? Or is it apples and oranges, the styling of the gt500 is a completely different thing.
You can’t compare a 4 door sedan against a 2 door car built for nothing but racing
I can't really compare the two, as they are in different classes... For what this car offers, it is very impressive. Fuel? Wear? It'll probably go through the consumables faster than an NA or lighter car, due to physics and tuning. However with a harder compound tire and these large steel rotors, you'll go through fuel the fastest since it has a supercharged V8.

Why do mericans think that you cant have a sporty 4 door?
Why take a car on the track using only 3rd gear with a top speed of 100mph? It only shows that it isn't a very capable car if thats where you take it to show what it can do..
Too many track videos from journalists and owners out there to think that. Hopefully Austin will out do them by returning with a Blackwing configured for the track since I don't think I've seen a track review with the track settings from GM yet. Ideally on a bigger track to boot.
