I have a loaded 2019 CTSV with white tricoat and carbon fiber package. It was my dream car coming from a C7 Z06. Unfortunately my soon to be ex is taking it. Its too much of a loss... so Ill be picking up a new CT5V Blackwing to drown my sorrows. Excellent review
cadillac has been great for a while now. the CTSV3 and ATSV were the driver's choice in their classes, although many didn't accept it. All of the big car publications were pretty much unanimous in this opinion. The CT5 and CT4 BW cars are not a revolution. Same basic platform, suspensions and drivetrain. From a purely enthusiast's perspective the previous generation V cars were better than the F generation M cars which were roots of BMW making isolation chambers. The previous gen V cars also rode better with their MRC dampers than the likes from AMG and M. It wasn't even close. These new BW cars are not much different. Its nothing new(thankfully). A small step.
Men his take on the V3 CTSV and ATSV was woefully innaccurate. Just shows his bias and him being a "bandwagon" fan of the blackwings. Literally the new blackwings were a "fine-tuning" of an already great formula from the previous generation. Please get your knowledge up "Sam" before spewing false rhetoric to prove a false point.
It took me 20 months from when I ordered mine for it to finally come in. I got the CT5 Blackwing with the 6 speed manual. Good luck with your Blackwing!
I love both of the new blackwings V’s. I can only imagine what the new ones perform like because I still get a lot of compliments in my Cadillac ATS V. GM I feel like is the only American auto maker that has made a new design for all there performance cars from Chevy to Cadillac! Good job GM.

Love the front… but that side view I think was a fail. Can’t do 80 grand on a car that when I pull up next to it at a light it takes me a few secs to tell if it’s a souped up civic or maxima.
The Cadillac is among the most recognized cars on the road. You can see them coming or going from a mile away. Day or night. Not sure where you get that. But you did say side view so maybe the tear drop.

I have a CT5 Sport 2021, then my dad passed and he left me his V2017 and I still want a blackwing! Lol but my sport is just too loaded got for a crazy low price, I could not pass it up, and was what I could afford at the time… but don’t regret it! And my dad V how my neighbors love the wake up call! Lol
Arguably the best chassis in the class. RWD. 6MT. Strong SC V8. Beautiful design. Spacious. Rare. A literal track ready sedan. Makes a strong case for being best car in the class.
My first Cadillac was a CTSV1, it was a cool car had a stage 4 BTR cam, it sounded obnoxiously great but it had its flaws with the trans and common diff issues. I recently bought a ctsv2 sedan manual and the V2 is a huge improvement over the V1. I’m very curious with the newer Cadillac. The interior/exterior are a big improvement over the V2. the ATSV, looks like they are more lighter and nimble than the V2. The CT5 black wing looks bigger and weighs more but the engine is much more powerful. I like the idea of a big sedan with a powerful motor under the hood. Definitely a sleeper.
I had 2017 m4 competition then traded it for a 2022 is350 loved the looks and comfort but couldn’t get use to the lack of power so I now have Ct4v blackwing in rift metallic/white wasnt my first choice but it was a manual 6 speed for msrp no mark up . I love driving just super hard to find aftermarket wheels at the moment

My 87 year old father in law has this car. Fortunately he is sharp as a tack. But we do worry about him when he drives it on the highway. The car is awesome, people always come up and admire it.

I get your need and respect that but it’s not a low volume effort, the take rate for the 6 speed was over 50% at launch. True enthusiasts are showing with their wallets how much they appreciate the last manual supercharged sedan being available.
Cadillac nailed a home run with the CT6 Platinum and better than the BMW 7 and Mercedes-benz S Class because the CT6 can drive itself. Also the CT6 Blackwing is in a class by itself!
Wish they would of never killed the CT6 platform. That 550hp and 600+tq has potential for a 4000+ vehicle running mid 12's in the quarter mile stock out the box for a executive sedan that is impressive. Light after market support and those things would really be close to the CT5 black wing easy. Only scary thing about getting a CT6 at thing point is parts/repairs in the next 7 years plus.
I would like drive Blackwing but it didn’t come to Australia but if you did come to Australia you need drive HSV VF GTS with LSA V8 hook up 6 speed manual.

I always had the opinion that the Panamera was the best car available in terms of functionality without sacrificing performance…then came the 5BW. Room for five adults, big trunk space, comfortable - combine that with what this vehicle is capable of and you have a production sedan that no other model on the planet can touch pound for pound, by a wide gap. This is an enthusiasts wet dream - an instant classic. I took delivery of a ‘22 with 4,300 clicks last week, and talk about an ass puckering experience. Wow. Just wow.

The CTS V series has won Several Championships against Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi R8 and the list goes on. Do your homework before throwing the CTS Vs away like they was nothing. This guy is new to the Cadillac V series. From the beginning Cadillac CTS V meat you had the performance package. The V is what told every one what you had. There's been a few others added on to this V series. But the original has always been CTS V

The atsv was literally top of class until the Alfa quadrofoglio came out and the ride of that and the v3 have always been praised with mag ride I've also owned both cars
Great video, slightly incorrect on the v history. Well at least state side the v series has done really well in many aspects. This exact formula existed 10 years ago but at that time people wanted turbo. With the market going electric there is a nostalgic feeling in owning a v8 super car, plus the people across the pond are charging you a monthly subscription for HEATED SEATS 😂 hopefully you get one.
Once you accept that the Germans with AWD will leave the 5BW in their wakes in a straight line. However, know that from point A to point B, the Caddy will get you there quicker and be more engaging too. I’d had not heard about a track package, guessing Car & Drivers comments got to them about shedding it with Cup 2R tires and some suspension tweaks so it could retake the title of the quickest lap time at VIR for a 4 door sedan, at almost half the price of the Panameria Turbo S.

I had brand new 2011 cts-v 6.2l v8 supercharged. Loved it. After 50k miles it starts to fall apart.

If I could afford this car then I wouldn’t be concerned about gas mileage. I would drive it and not regret a thing. I would enjoy being able to gap almost everything on the road.
