I own a 2022 CT5 V Blackwing (manual) and it is by far, the best, everyday-performance car I have ever driven. Very addictive
how many first borns did you have to give up or banks robbed to afford one? For a few years now, at least in the sacramento area, they have been 29% over msrp. Almost every other car is better in this segment, and just under, with the money you save and can put it into that car to make it better than this.
Isn't this thing like 100k? I want one but that will be what I make the whole year 😂😂

cadillac has been great for a while now. the CTSV3 and ATSV were the driver's choice in their classes, although many didn't accept it. All of the big car publications were pretty much unanimous in this opinion. The CT5 and CT4 BW cars are not a revolution. Same basic platform, suspensions and drivetrain. From a purely enthusiast's perspective the previous generation V cars were better than the F generation M cars which were roots of BMW making isolation chambers. The previous gen V cars also rode better with their MRC dampers than the likes from AMG and M. It wasn't even close. These new BW cars are not much different. Its nothing new(thankfully). A small step.

Men his take on the V3 CTSV and ATSV was woefully innaccurate. Just shows his bias and him being a "bandwagon" fan of the blackwings. Literally the new blackwings were a "fine-tuning" of an already great formula from the previous generation. Please get your knowledge up "Sam" before spewing false rhetoric to prove a false point.

I have a loaded 2019 CTSV with white tricoat and carbon fiber package. It was my dream car coming from a C7 Z06. Unfortunately my soon to be ex is taking it. Its too much of a loss... so Ill be picking up a new CT5V Blackwing to drown my sorrows. Excellent review
I love both of the new blackwings V’s. I can only imagine what the new ones perform like because I still get a lot of compliments in my Cadillac ATS V. GM I feel like is the only American auto maker that has made a new design for all there performance cars from Chevy to Cadillac! Good job GM.

@@e46m54nissansr20937 it’s really not! I think because people think it has to be a V8 to be a good performance car or in-line 6 by bmw. But that’s there loss because I have one and know what can do and how it’s fast. Not to mention the price is a better deal than the bmw M3 for what you getting

I would absolutely love to daily one of these, just way too expensive at msrp, plus the crazy markups. I absolutely love a fast sedan and I think the blackwing pair really kill it overall.

Great looking car, but I need AWD. It’s just that simple!! This manual “desire” is a low volume effort amongst the masses to he honest I’m not driving a stick in Chicago rush hour traffic.
I get your need and respect that but it’s not a low volume effort, the take rate for the 6 speed was over 50% at launch. True enthusiasts are showing with their wallets how much they appreciate the last manual supercharged sedan being available.

Love the front… but that side view I think was a fail. Can’t do 80 grand on a car that when I pull up next to it at a light it takes me a few secs to tell if it’s a souped up civic or maxima.
The Cadillac is among the most recognized cars on the road. You can see them coming or going from a mile away. Day or night. Not sure where you get that. But you did say side view so maybe the tear drop.

Only in comparison is what I gather, the ATS-V was underappreciated - the CTS-V continued the pedigree of the early V's. From then to now, the new Blackwing is truly a notch above.

My first Cadillac was a CTSV1, it was a cool car had a stage 4 BTR cam, it sounded obnoxiously great but it had its flaws with the trans and common diff issues. I recently bought a ctsv2 sedan manual and the V2 is a huge improvement over the V1. I’m very curious with the newer Cadillac. The interior/exterior are a big improvement over the V2. the ATSV, looks like they are more lighter and nimble than the V2. The CT5 black wing looks bigger and weighs more but the engine is much more powerful. I like the idea of a big sedan with a powerful motor under the hood. Definitely a sleeper.

Cadillac nailed a home run with the CT6 Platinum and better than the BMW 7 and Mercedes-benz S Class because the CT6 can drive itself. Also the CT6 Blackwing is in a class by itself!
Wish they would of never killed the CT6 platform. That 550hp and 600+tq has potential for a 4000+ vehicle running mid 12's in the quarter mile stock out the box for a executive sedan that is impressive. Light after market support and those things would really be close to the CT5 black wing easy. Only scary thing about getting a CT6 at thing point is parts/repairs in the next 7 years plus.

If I could afford this car then I wouldn’t be concerned about gas mileage. I would drive it and not regret a thing. I would enjoy being able to gap almost everything on the road.
Love it everytime I see a new video on these. Mine should be here in 2 to 3 weeks. After delays for missing parts (likely a microchip of some kind) and delayed shipping after it was built and having to drop the cf1 option due to availability constraints. Ordered it just over a year ago.

Cadillac ct4/ct5/ct6 blackwing lineup should awd across the board . Don't understand why Cadillac doesn't fully differentiate themselves from the general motors subpar performance... they could really compete with bmw but don't even try. More tech , and more modifications. Instead trying to be the bargain dealer of affordable luxury 🙄... yuck 🤮 get that tire spinning crap outta here

They have that in their "V" lineup, which makes them competitive. The blackwing setup makes them stand out of the crowd. It is such a unique combo (high Hp v8, mated with a 6sp and rwd) that xdrive in the bmw has to "fake" a rwd setup (can be accomplished by an app called xdelete in other xdrive, so not that special) and amg is just here trying to hybridize a 4cyl under an iconic badge *cough I see u too ford*

I have a CT5 Sport 2021, then my dad passed and he left me his V2017 and I still want a blackwing! Lol but my sport is just too loaded got for a crazy low price, I could not pass it up, and was what I could afford at the time… but don’t regret it! And my dad V how my neighbors love the wake up call! Lol
CTS-V's are great in Canadian winters! I had an '06 with studded winter tires & some sandbags in the trunk. ;-) B
I had 2017 m4 competition then traded it for a 2022 is350 loved the looks and comfort but couldn’t get use to the lack of power so I now have Ct4v blackwing in rift metallic/white wasnt my first choice but it was a manual 6 speed for msrp no mark up . I love driving just super hard to find aftermarket wheels at the moment

He really basically said the CTS-V and the ats-v were crap in the beginning. How can he down the CTS the foundation of the V brand... First of its kind. Cadillac should've given the CT5-V Blackwing wing the option of buying it with the Multimatic Suspension from the ZL1 1LE.
I'm from Quebec, got a CT4 as a daily. U get all the sport features sound power brake and steering feel + suspension in comfort mode, why would i need another car? Cept in winter of course so my BW stays shinny!

I’m still enjoy driving my wife’s CTS-V Wagon, but I do want to get some seat time in a blackwing.
The interior is where this car fails miserably. Besides the carbon fiber seats...its embarrassing. All along the trim, and on the doors is classic gmc flimsy plastic. For 100k+ thats a hard sale compared to say a m5

lol snow mode is total and utter bs, shows us snow mode with snow tyres on and then we will believe it otherwise snow mode with non snow tyres is nothing but added traction so the rear tyres do not spin, which is like a direct drive diff or 9" welded diff? Which means that both side will spin at the same speeds, which is what you do not want, you want different variable speeds for each rear wheel, so that if the back end does go out you can control it?
Some one should show just ho good each setting is for the traction control is in real world conditions snow, wet dry and V modes track, sport touring etc?
