- FIRST LOOK: The CT5-V Blackwing getting some big changes for 2025. On the outside you will notice a wider grill, new front fascia and lighting. On the inside you will be welcomed by 33in of screen. I'm one of the biggest GM haters out there and I'd still have to admit this is up there on the top-tier sports sedan list. I can't believe they built it, but I'm glad they did.

This would be my pick out of ALL performance sedans. The engine and the manual trans is the main selling point, and I figure that'd be the reasons why buyers would gravitate towards the CT5-V BW. What a beautiful machine.

The Cadillac CT5-V is my current dream dad sedan. Perfect mix of fun and practicality plus decent legroom for those of us over 6’!

Can we talk about how several brands are copying their design language and no one talks about it? Soyfan of Redline Reviews was like the only person on the internet to even whisper about how Kia has adopted both these folks exterior _and_ interior design language, amongst so many others. Since 2021 Escalade has dropped there has been so many manufacturers that have switched to long horizontally integrated *curved* displays now. These people do NOT get their due credit AT ALL. Lol

I don’t understand this. As soon as they do that y’all start ripping the Cadillac apart calling it a rebadged gussied up Chevrolet [insert Chevy that shares the same platform.] If y’all can’t see the value in Cadillac having their own special vehicles you can’t find anywhere else in the *gm* portfolio, then you need to stay far far away from _Cadillac._

@user-my4xu4gf1z - It looks nothing like BMWs screen. This one is more curved, has rounded corners, and more importantly is one continuous screen image versus being 2 individual screens under one panel of glass.
Plus, every company is doing this wide dual screen look for the digital display and infotainment system. There's no copying going on.

The first hand built engine named blackwing was a twin turbo 4.4L V8 in the 2019/2020 CT6 V, only 600 made ever, rare caddy! And that same twin turbo engine never went out of production‼️get ready Corvette fans😉
I feel like after witnessing the magnitude of budget *gm* gave Chevrolet for the C8’s production, Cadillac’s going to be able to do something really grand with the actual ’Blackwing’ engine. They can be very hush hush when they wanna be. I’ll be keeping my ears to the streets! 😎

I think that the symbol is that of the Greek letter Omega. If so, this could symbolize that this car is the end all of Cadillacs, meaning the best Cadillac within all Cadillacs made. My 2c.
Props to you and the RR family for giving us another great review!! They brought the dash and tech from the Escalade to the CT5 and proved once again that Caddy is a definite contender! The want is real and yes make mine a manual!!

Both are gorgeous but I would have to take the Typhoon Green (looks like a Teal color) but that color and shine is stunning.
The full waterfall lights do it for me that's the only reason I got the ct4 v but now they got them on the ct5 v. Incredible

Love that they made the Recaro bucket seats an option in the standard “V”. I wonder if the carbon fiber packages are now available on the CT5-V as well. That would be so hot with the white whisper beige interior and typhoon green metallic exterior. The beautiful peanut butter brown interior called Sedona Sauvage would really make the typhoon green pop as well! Can’t wait for an overview of these 3 trims under the sun.🔥

I use to come to Daytona Beach couple times back when spring break nationals was around which was one of the biggest car stereo competitions/car show and then I visited back in 2021 when they had the Daytona Truck Meet at the Daytona 500 so it was cool being up and close with the track since the show was in the grounds around the track

Best car for the money, all the way around luxury performance, everything, and that typhoon metallic is about the nicest color I’ve ever seen, preferably I would take the regular V with the all-wheel-drive. Man Cadillac really stepped it up last 5-7years

This is literally the best performance sedan coming out of a factory OF ALL TIME. Absolutely stunning, gorgeous, a V8 with a cross-plane crankshaft slapped with a supercharger on top AND with a manual 6-speed Tremec, all with magnetic ride control technology. Does not get better than this.

That was a great car!! I wish it was still made. Obviously, it would be a CT4 coupe now. Why they stopped making the coupe version is beyond me. If they're still making the sedan, then the coupe should still be made.

Congratulations. Did you go with the auto, or manual? I'm torn. I'm in Dallas where traffic is terrible at times and I traded my 2017 ZL1 manual for the 10 speed for that very reason, but loved the manual. I don't plan to track the car at all.

Great review Raiti! I always enjoy your enthusiasm and videos! I think the 2022-24 CT5-V Blackwing has a more aggressive and better looking front end. If I'm dropping over $100k on a car, I want to be able to look back at it after I park and as I'm walking away at least like what I see. Yes, styling is subjective but breaking up the smooth flowing front grill with black plastic on each side and reverting back to the old CT6 vertical headlights with a single LED strip does not look right to me. Just my $0.02. I love the car but I would get a 2024.

Caddy does a great job with the CT5…love both exterior colors. Not crazy about the white interior since it’s apt to get dirty quite easily.

The part above the camera is a washer nozzle to clean the camera lens.
If these examples are any indication, Cadillac is on its game quality-wise. Probably the best fit & finish I've seen in the newest US built cars. I also like that this Cadillac remains V8 powered, and you can still get the ultimate anti-theft device for today - the manual transmission! Not to mention it will add to the fun factor.
