I’ve also got a 5V and my horn is not that sensitive FYI… that may be something you could get fixed with warranty.

The Cadillac CT5 is easy to live with right out of the box. Adding V-power of the Blackwing is just the icing on the cake. How great it is to see useable space in a reasonably sized automobile, no SUV required. Nice to see a black interior that looks so engaging, Cadillac made a appealing use of trim that livens up the cabin along with a well designed instrument panel. Sure is a pleasure to see a vehicle without the profile of a bus, too many bus drivers on the roads these days. Keep the Caddy, and keep on smiling! Thank you, Miles. 👍👍

The CT5-V Blackwing is the perfect family sedan for the car enthusiast. Have to get the 6spd though and not the auto for the full experience. Loved the video bud, keep'em coming.

@@damianinglish7474 just to ask, would you trade your CT4 for the 5 or does the 4 give you what you want? Price is my biggest thing and I’ve heard the CT4 is no joke either.
@FromScratchByJames if I gave up my ct4 V for a 5 it would have to give me more power then I have now. So it would have to be either the Ct5 V or the blackwing. The ct4 V pushes a 2.7L turbo @325 HP and 380 torque. It's a lot of fun. And I love it but yes I do want a ct5 blackwing for sure.
How good to see you my friend, what a good car and a lot of care on the sides. The Lexus brand is a good model and also the Cadillac models that you have driven are very good and super expensive

The no lift shift, the transmission syncs in between throws?
Do you wash the car before putting the cover on everytime? Just wondering it might scratch the paint or cause swirl marks overtime if not washed.

The 21 RS7 I have been driving for 2 years may have a slight edge on being a multi purpose executive weapon. Hatch back design giving it much bigger trunk space, solving for the turning radius with All Wheel Steer and 600 hp of all wheel drive bliss. Having said all of that, great review and a beautiful car!

Such a nice car, its pretty amazing how the only v8 manual cars (let alone rwd or awd) still being made are american. And im pretty sure this is the only sedan. Seems like an awesome daily or road trip car ( or drag racing, track, etc.) it can do everything! I hope these drop in price one day as its VERY much outta my price range right now !
Look for a used CT4V Blackwing. It would be much closer to you price range and definitely will not disappoint!

Ive been using car covers for years. The new Sealskin looks great but do they offer it with the side mirror pockets? This locks in the cover on windy days as it provides a tight fit. Any info? ✌️
Good question - I think because the covers are semi-custom but not full custom fit, they don't have mirror pockets. I find that folding in the door mirrors doesn't create too much extra fabric.

The 2025 Refresh is Stunning, I already Pre-Ordered mine the new Dash makes the old one look so dated. And will depreciate hard.
Split opinions on that - I prefer the look of the current gen (though I wouldn't say no to some projector LEDs) and I prefer the driver cockpit focus of the current interior. The expanded screen makes it feel more open. At least it'll drive just as well 😉

I picked the B8 Alpina. More exclusive, Faster 1/4 mile, top speed and more forgiving. Blackwing does have a more comfortable back seat and Tremec was fun. Alpina is the perfect meld of performance and luxury. Sad to see V8s going away.

That is the FIRST thing I noticed after i bought my CT5. The turn radius is truly awful. Almost mind blowing
Quick ratio steering.
Two things. First, a congrats. I have my CT5-V BW on order and I have enjoyed your videos thoroughly. Second: how are you keeping the steering wheel looking like new? Mine is completely dead on my Corvette. I regret getting the suede wheel and shifter.
Wipe with wet cloth after every use and always wash hands before driving. That's worked for me!

haha miles, sucks your CT5-V Blackwing 6MT doesn't have ACC - even my '21 Jetta GLI Autobahn 6MT (yes, you read it right, Autobahn - sounds a lot slicker than blackwing) has adaptive cruise control! - signed, jealous fan. 🙂

No real reason to because the refresh only has a slightly different front and a big screen. Everything else is the same.

I’m going to wait two years for the 35% deprecation to kick in, then maybe will consider this relic of a motor in a semi modern car for a back up daily driver, but doubtful.

That's what neighborhoods in California that were built in the last 10 years look like. My house in Lodi, CA was built 20 years ago and only slightly better.
It seems you are having better luck with your Blackwing than I am with mine. I only have 14,500 miles on the car and it's in the shop now waiting on a new motor. But this isn't the first time it has been in the shop since owning the car for only 14 months. I've had to replace the alternator and water pump, with these two parts failing the car had to be towed, once being on the side of the highway. And I've had to replace a catalytic converter, and the rear differential already. This brings us to the latest visit to the dealer where it is now waiting for a new motor because a spark plug failed causing the misfire and damaging the engine in the process. I've also seen a video of another Blackwing misfiring on RUclips because of a failed spark plug. I'm already in the works on getting GM to buy the car back under the lemon law and I expect more people to follow. I love this car but the headache from all these major failures has taken the excitement out of owning this car. Every drive I'm looking at the dash expecting a warning message. I know what they say about owning the first year of a new model but since the engine, transmission, and suspension have already been used numerous times in a number of GM models I took a chance. There's a problem with these engines and GM is going to have to address it soon. Good Luck to anyone who owns this car and is planning on owning one.

@@newdecca No. dumping so much money on rapidly depreciating assets like these cars instead of putting it to work in an appreciating asset (like a nicer house) kills me. Rinse and repeat this process a few times and you get a nicer house and you can actually afford those cars.

Dealership pricing makes a very cool car overpriced garbage. Some dealers have been plain delusional with this and it’s a pity because at the right price it’s a very cool car.
It's an amazing car, but it doesn't justify the $125k or more price tag. The only thing better it does compared to its competitors is the engine and it's not worth $125k. Especially when the m340i is $58k and you can put a few thousand dollars into it and easily catch up to the horsepower of this car not to mention competitor interior quality is just leaps and bounds better. It's the reason why american brands are failing. Overpriced and overvalued for what you get compared to what competitors are offering. Fun isn't worth double or triple the price.
