I met Markus about 15 yrs ago at a nutrition store (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) autograph signing. We both went outside for a cigarette. Him and I talked one on one for over an hour and a half about nothing to do with bodybuilding. The nicest, most humble person I have ever met. Genuine great dude. Thank you Markus for the amazing memory!!!!

Markus was my favorite bodybuilder back in the day. Uncrowned Mr. Olympia.
He was a freak but definitely no MR Olympia material.
Markus is just great you can't unlike him and a absolute freak back in the day but not a uncrowned Mr. 0 he was crazy a true monster but not at that number 1 level! not with this group of bodybuilders back then lineups were phenomenal!
At no point was he deserving of the Olympia.

Markus really is amazing .I'm 28years old this year.i found out markus ruhl existed in 2009 .my first words were (mass freak)then I came across the videos of him in the shopping market and on the street when people stared at him.i was truely shocked ,and now watching him talk of the old years etc .this is one of the most inviting gentle bodybuilder thats so humble to ever exist.you will be a legend forever Mr Ruhl

Ramy really looks untouchable right now. Milos is right it sucks they took out the symmetry rounds, aesthetics should be as important as muscle mass. I still think Derek will make the top 5, similar height, muscle mass to Hadi and better aesthetics but Derek will need to be more conditioned then last year.
True, Phil Heath would never be 7 times mr Olympia if there was a symmetry round.
