I'm glad you seem to think it all makes sense. It still has LOTS of holes in my mind. I want to say that perhaps, like in the Old Testament multiple times, there are prophesies made that have dual fulfillments. Why would this be different? I think Jeff makes some incredibly great points about how Christ's predictions within "their generation" came true etc, but so many things in Revelation don't have fulfillment or completely anyway, in the time of Rome. Also, Jeff explains Daniel 7 as the beasts matching those of Daniels previous dream of a statue, which is totally wrong. Those beasts don't match and notice in verse 12, after the 4th beast was destroyed, the others were stripped of their power but allowed to exist for a time......those kingdoms are simultaneous. The power of Satan is locked up for good. There is NO evidence of that from the time of Rome to now. Look at all of history in between. Satan's power to deceive, kill, and destroy has NOT been taken away. It looks just like the rest of man's history. Sin all over and believers being persecuted. Love this framework to view revelation. Is there any way though y’all could make a video explains how this works in light of Romans 11, specifically the idea of all Israel being saved??
I might be mistaken mind you, but i beleive it refers to the grafting of the gentiles into the tree Jerusalem and christ being savior in so much that now israel is all over the world as the world has been given to him who is in the sear of power at the right hand of God. If this doesn't help I'm sorry, i only gave this answer through memory so i wouldn't take it to heart
I'm Premill Pre-trib, but over time, I've just learned to listen to all perspectives. This ones makes so much sense. I just want to know how Romans 11 is explained though.
Yes I agree this is awesome.... This glorifies the victory of Jesus Christ, magnificent and encourages us to grow and flourish the kingdom..,, The pre tribbers are so depressing; they all say we’re living in the last seconds of the last days and the world is all doom n gloom; they’re upset, much like the Jehovah’s Witnesses ...... The difference is the JWs are prepared to endure whilst the pre tribbers expect to be raptured out of any hardship (and I’m not a JW cult member, lol)... This is exegetically sound; the first rule of hermeneutics is audience relevance not looking at newspaper headlines..,, God bless you and Happy New Year 🥳❤️🙏🏽

Would you guys possibly make a part 3 that sort of rounds out, as a whole, this view of Revelation on how people that are new to this can view the passages that correspond with the destruction of Jerusalem vs the passages that correspond to what Jeff said are future events? I think this would clear up confusion on other parts left hanging regarding the antichrist, Satan being bound, the abyss and the time period of the millennial reign, ...etc. Is there a full rounded out study of this available already as a resource? I feel like this would be the next step that some people might need after realizing Jesus is ruling on the throne now, as these "end times" traditions are hard to let go of when trying to understand this new(old) view.
Yes. Growing up premillennialist dispy , I do agree with much of what they’re saying, but I am still confused on somethings, specifically Satan and his roll today as far as is he still prowling the earth looking to devour, is he bound, has he been cast into the lake, etc.
What's up, @@MansterBear! Good seeing you again, bro. I'm in a similar spot. This series has been very persuasive to me and I would now refer to myself as a post-mil who's still trying to make sense of it all. The biggest issue I have is the whole binding of Satan. I'd love to hear their take on this as well.
There is a much more in debt explanation of all of this on Amazon Prime called “The Days of Noah” and it’s 4 parts. Really good. Remember, Daniel and revelation go together.
I'm sure you guys have addressed this before, but one question I have lingering around in my brain is the question of the actual second coming of Jesus and the final resurrection. Which passages do we look to to find the distinction between those events vs. the "already/not yet" stuff we saw happen in the 1st century? Also, would it be fair to say that when Jesus refers to the people of His Kingdom being like angels who are neither married nor given in marriage, that He is also touching on that "already/not yet" type of thing? Appreciate your thoughts! Keep up the great work, brothers! Blessings!
On the topic of the second coming and the final resurrection, those are not necessarily two separate events. His second coming is for the final resurrection...some to everlasting life and some for the judgement.
@@jessicaford5643 Right, yeah. I understood that aspect of it. I more so meant how do we distinguish the "coming" in judgement that Jesus made mention of in Matthew 24 (the judgement of 70 AD) vs. the actual coming of Christ physically to this earth (when we will all be raised). Because as I understand it, partial-preterists would mainly be partial for that reason.
@Tree Absolutely! That's wonderful! I'm thinking that one in 1 Corinthians 15 is likely one of the main passages where we get the actual, physical return of the Lord from (also John 6), as opposed to His coming in judgement (Matthew 24). Thank you!
Consider that the already/not yet was a 40 year period...from AD30-70. Consider Jesus' 2nd coming occurred in 70...coming in the Glory of The Father, that is, Spiritual.
I would like to encourage you Jeff to listen to Jesse Gistand teaching his congregation at Hayward California Grace Bible Church. He is bringing out things like I have never heard before and brings forth the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I really enjoy your program so that is why I'm informing you about this . He says don't read the book of Revelation like your newspaper but it is all iiterupted in the Word of God.
An honest question. So I get that God is now among his people (Rev 21:3) but why was verse 4 skipped where it says that "He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever". That is obviously not what is happening right now. How does that verse fit into your point of view?
10/22/23 I recently listened to a sermon by Pastor Jeff. He was spelling out how the early church should saw the prophecies of the Messiah dying and being resurrected. And of course, I can’t find it….someone help me, please
PLEASE HELP, at 55:00 when Mr. Durbin mentions the 7 heads and 10 horns. I can't find where Rome had 10 imperial (I think that's the word he uses) provinces.
Oh my gosh! If I was speaking and teaching, and had a more senior teacher acting that way - Jeff- I'd be full of anxiety. Please let him do his thing. Said with sincere love- really.
At 36:20 Durbin questions the literalness of the dispensational interpretation of the holy city and asks whether is is reasonable for us all to be "living in a box". But isn't the holy city reserved for only the elect Jews and not the whole world according the the dispensational understanding? Trying to understand the different views.
Hey @apologia I was curious how a postmill would interpret Luke 20:35 because in the Amill position the reason they separate the age to come as being after the consummation is because Luke 20 would apply no marriage in the age to come but postmill applies the age to come as the new covenant age and Christians are still getting married. Just curious your thoughts and love your stuff by the way
We believe that even though we are in the millennial age, we have not had the Second coming/ resurrection (obviously). These verses refer to life after the resurrection.
Isaac hits on some really good things. Biblical symbolism is a language in itself that you can only get by reading and thinking in the Bible for a long time. By mastering all the symbols in the Bible, only then can you start to unpack Revelation. A great starter book is "Through New Eyes" by Biblical genius James B. Jordan.
@@susie7336 Hi Susana, another good one is "Paradise Restored" by David Chilton. If you just want to dip your toes in the most correct view on Revelation, i believe , grab "The Vindication of Jesus Christ" by James Jordan.
they are a symbol of the 144,000 faithful who proclaim the Word of God to Jewry. They are Spirit-empowered (olive oil fed) lampstands in the dark world, imagery taken from Zechariah 4. They are like Elijah and Moses (11:5-6). They form a testimony of two witnesses against Jewry, like the two angels who visited Sodom, like Moses and Aaron in Egypt (11:8). Because of the power of their witness, the Beast from the Abyss (9:1-11) is driven back for a while to the pit, but eventually he comes out again and they are killed (17:8).
This is amazing, but I was slightly disappointed that they so quickly skipped over Rev. 21:4. I’m a postmillennialist, but I’m confused ab these last two chapters of Revelation. Can someone explain this verse within a partial preterist context?
sooooo - The message Revelation really starts in Genesis? So if you are fuzzy On Genesis 1 - 5 (like God used evolution) you will not really understand Revelation - or (as I have found in my home group) Romans 5:12 and passages like this. Man! These talks and sermons (along with the preaching of Brother Doug W) are just a feast for my soul Thank you Heavenly Father for these faithful brothers and for the tech that brings this message so easily to us Edit: The Garden Temple - no wonder we still find forests, gardens and trees so enriching Anyway - I will withhold my wonder thanks brothers Yes Lots more could be done - Please do more brothers - this is very very challenging and uplifting
Part of me is discouraged because the idea of Jesus coming and we live in eternal euphoria with Him, in peace, joy, harmony in new heavens and new earth, having all things new, according to these guys now it means that this is “here and now”. So realizing how awful “here and now” is discouraging. Living and struggling with my own sin, temptation, evil thoughts, division, envy, constant struggle with trusting God, being sick, loosing loved ones, lacking hope... and if this is how Jesus rules and reigns, and His kingdom is here, my goodness this is quite awful.
I have a question; you mentioned Ez. 16, I agree with what you stated of the interpretation of the text and how ultimately Jerusalem is being punished by the law for her adulterous sin. So, how would you tie in the end of the chapter when it says that God will remember her sin no more not because of her but because of him and his covenant? Is this referring to old and new covenant as well? How would you interpret the ending and what are key words or scriptures that follow
I still think it's possible that the New Jerusalem can be a real thing. Yes, it's about the size of the moon, but it can come down "to" earth and remain a great distance away where it can be seen by all just as the moon is. I can picture us traveling back and forth between there and the new earth. It may turn out to be only symbolic, but that's my take. Jesus said He is preparing a place for us and His Fathers house has many dwelling places. I think the NJ is that place.
So then is the end game unknown? Does Jesus actually come back in the end and there is no turning back and the final judgment begins contrary to what many believe that first some are raptured and the rest have a 2nd chance while going through the tribulation? So we just keep spreading the gospel till Jesus comes and we go to Heaven? Hope someone sees this cuz I would like to know,.
According to postmiklennialism, as I understand it, the end game is that the church makes a lot more disciples, it succeeds eventually, in discipline the entire nations. This doesn't mean that every single person in the world will be saved, but that a great majority of the world, of all nations. Then eventually the devil will trick those who are not saved and will use them to wage war. At that point Jesus will come back and destroy the devil and his army. And those who are His people will be gathered and made new and will live with Christ in glory.
Before coming to this end of the covenant truth I was always torn about end times and what life is to be for a Christ follower. When you believe that the world is trash, and that the worse it gets the better off we are it is very problematic for you to feel like there's no reason to fight evil but allowing it brings heaven. It's a very disorderly, confusing and sinful proposition. You tell yourself yes I should do right and further the Kingdom just as an empty practice because God is allowing it to get worse....it doesn't match up to the beauty of Christ. We ARE to fight for the Kingdom and our efforts are FOR God's purpose. To beautify and glorify His creation. To reach His people.
ahhh can someone spell it out for me what Luke meant when he's talking about Engedi and Eneglaim relating to the 153 fish in John?? I didn't quite get that.
We are already there, but not. We are seated with christ but not... God is out side of time so our past, present and future are ALL God's present. In God's " present time", we are with Him now and all is done. We are just waiting for our time to catch up and for the culmination of all things.
The intro is way to freaking long......Just really glad that there isn't 20 min of talk about nothing at the start of this one. Thanks for jumping right into the topic rather than the small talk about nothing for 20 min prior
@@mikeanderson7962 No Satan is not part of this section, I dont thinkl. At this point in history we find God’s people forming covenants with the heathen, instead of the other way around. Now we find Israel becoming a spiritual vassal to Tyre, reversing the earlier situation. This is why so much attention is given to Tyre in the prophecy of Ezekiel. Tyre was a converted nation that apostatized. Tyre’s alliance with Solomon meant that Tyre recognized the Temple High Priest as its spiritual king, and so Ezekiel 28 describes the apostate High Priest as the “king of Tyre.”
Transition was smooth guys lol. Not easy to do. (if you were talking about what I think you were talking about) Of course if the 2 songs were in the same key it would be like silk!

Does someone in the Postmillennial camp have a response to John 18:36? Not that one verse necessarily destroys this hour long argument, but it is certainly ammunition for the Amillennialist.
ἀπεκρίθη ὁ Ἰησοῦς Ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου· εἰ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου ἦν ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμή οἱ ὑπηρέται ἄν οἱ ἐμοὶ ἠγωνίζοντο ἵνα μὴ παραδοθῶ τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις· νῦν δὲ ἡ βασιλεία ἡ ἐμὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐντεῦθεν (Jn. 18:36 STE) "ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου" Literallty: Is not from (or "out of") this world. The mistranslations on this verse are widely known. Although the NASB has a footnote saying "is not derived from" meaning Christ's Kingdom is not from earth, but Heaven. When Adam failed, he handed the "Old" world over to Satan. It wasn't until the Second Adam, Christ came that he began to bring His Kingdom from heaven DOWN. That would be how I, a postmillenialist, would take an initial stab.
Kyle C I don’t think this argument would explain why Jesus’ followers weren’t fighting the Romans and Jewish leaders. The context of Jesus’ comment seems to suggest that Jesus is indicating the location of His Kingdom (i.e. heaven), which would explain why His followers were not fighting.
But this is before Jesus died was resourced and inflicted the final judgement upon the old covenant breakers. In essence, this was before Jesus said "it is finished."
The high priest wore the simple white ephod in the holy of holies. If he acts out Christ going into heaven with the blood of the sacrifice, can he die in there? The rope story was first mentioned in a spanish Kabalistic source from the late 1200’s the Zohar written by Moses de Léon.
I really missed the five-minutes of “Video Starting Soon.” (Just wanted to give this online church the feel of a real bricks-and-mortar operation, with members/adherents squabbling over the littlest things.)
This is all beautiful. What about the bowls and trumpets. The mark of the beast. The antichrist. I thought you guys were going to spend time in revelation, but you mostly talked about chapter 20 and 21.
pondering question; God is perfect in all He creates, I know! But why was the earth empty and void? Hear me out; to Gen. 2 is s pic of the earth between this what we see now and the new.Like that It's not part of the creation per say! But like in a story, you get a glimpse of the end of the events, then the beginning of the story begins. (I don't know Maybe someone would please share your view on Gen 2, thanks
I’m really trying to understand because I just want to pursue Truth but I’m having a hard time reconciling the finality of Revelation and this view. Current events are interesting to say the least, definitely not trying to make connections inappropriately, and my struggle with the post millennial view is what seems clear me - a normal man with love for God just reading the text for what it is - that all the events of revelation are occurring at a specific time even unto the millennial reign of Jesus on Earth, then to the resurrection, judgment and death and all the rest being cast into everlasting fire. This one’s tough for me and I want to fight it out in my head and let the Holy Spirit guide me, am I the only one? 😂
I must interject, the reference to the shekinah glory. You must study the origins of that, it’s from the Kabbalah. The correct Hebrew word for the glory of the lord is the kabowd. The Talmud/Kabbalah has crept into the church.
The harlot is wearing the priest colours EXCEPT the colour blue. very important why the harlot is NOT wearing a blue colour . What does blue represent ?
The Antichrist is a mythical teaching only a few hundred years old. I'd strongly encourage you to be very careful with such a teacher who teaches that.
@@lizboedeker9661 I'm Kyle C. and no its not in the Bible. Revelation 1-19 is not about our future. It was only the future of the immediate audience, the 7 churches which were real 1st century churches.

“Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:17 NASB I would say having a “regular job” is a great mission field. Do that regular job in the name of Christ and for His glory. We as Christians should seek to be the best employee we possibly can, for God’s glory.
All Christians believe the Bible. The Bible is a young earth creationist text. Calvinists are Christians. Therefore, Calvinists are young earth creationists.
How does rev 12 fit into your theory especially the end of it 13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I was raised, spiritually, Pre-trib but increasingly leaving that teaching. This is awesome.
Yes I agree this is awesome.... This glorifies the victory of Jesus Christ, magnificent and encourages us to grow and flourish the kingdom..,,
The pre tribbers are so depressing; they all say we’re living in the last seconds of the last days and the world is all doom n gloom; they’re upset, much like the Jehovah’s Witnesses ...... The difference is the JWs are prepared to endure whilst the pre tribbers expect to be raptured out of any hardship (and I’m not a JW cult member, lol)...
This is exegetically sound; the first rule of hermeneutics is audience relevance not looking at newspaper headlines..,,
God bless you and Happy New Year 🥳❤️🙏🏽

Makes me think of the children's book "The Garden, the Curtain and the Cross" where it connects the temple to the garden. I never made that connection before reading that book to my kids. 😊
Btw, incredible episode. Just what I needed as a brand new postmillennialist. God is really working through you guys. ❤

John Owen taught that the water emanating from the base of the temple, per Ezekiel, was emblematic of the preaching of the word.
Yes, thank you. Audio is much better. So many times Jeff would be clipping. Sounds smooth now, big improvement.
James Hurley watch Andy woods on RUclips, he did a COMPLETE study on Revelation. He is a very good teacher.
@@HueyBob24 It doesn't appear that Andy Woods is a Calvinist. Does he follow the same teachings as Apologia?
James Hurley no, he is not a Calvinist.

Wow! Mind blown! I have so many more questions now!
Fascinating!

Amen brother!!! God bless you!

These guys should get a book out with all this info…..
This is so meaty. My goodness.
At 36:20 Durbin questions the literalness of the dispensational interpretation of the holy city and asks whether is is reasonable for us all to be "living in a box". But isn't the holy city reserved for only the elect Jews and not the whole world according the the dispensational understanding? Trying to understand the different views.
Loved this
Awesome!!!! Part 3???
Hey @apologia I was curious how a postmill would interpret Luke 20:35 because in the Amill position the reason they separate the age to come as being after the consummation is because Luke 20 would apply no marriage in the age to come but postmill applies the age to come as the new covenant age and Christians are still getting married. Just curious your thoughts and love your stuff by the way
We believe that even though we are in the millennial age, we have not had the Second coming/ resurrection (obviously). These verses refer to life after the resurrection.
Very much looking forward this
Isaac hits on some really good things. Biblical symbolism is a language in itself that you can only get by reading and thinking in the Bible for a long time. By mastering all the symbols in the Bible, only then can you start to unpack Revelation. A great starter book is "Through New Eyes" by Biblical genius James B. Jordan.
What other books would you recommend??
@@susie7336 Hi Susana, another good one is "Paradise Restored" by David Chilton. If you just want to dip your toes in the most correct view on Revelation, i believe , grab "The Vindication of Jesus Christ" by James Jordan.
Who are the two witnesses in Rev according to partial preterism?
they are a symbol of the 144,000 faithful who proclaim the Word of God to Jewry.
Peter and James?
This is amazing, but I was slightly disappointed that they so quickly skipped over Rev. 21:4. I’m a postmillennialist, but I’m confused ab these last two chapters of Revelation. Can someone explain this verse within a partial preterist context?
sooooo - The message Revelation really starts in Genesis? So if you are fuzzy On Genesis 1 - 5 (like God used evolution) you will not really understand Revelation - or (as I have found in my home group) Romans 5:12 and passages like this.

You must have listened to a different video because they didn't say or suggest what you are saying.
To me it just sounded like Jerusalem isn’t being punished after all and is being forgiven?
Hate to take away from the whole video, but Jeff's got me hooked on them yerba mates!
I like what you have to say Pastor. My only objection is why did you have him do this if you’re going to keep cutting him off?
HURRY UP AND LAUNCH!!!
I ask myself all the time that.
Amazing. I want to hear more.
Learnt a lot thanks God bless ✝️❤️
Can y'all post this on itunes please?
I found it necessary to point that the quotation "through you Christ is crushing the head of the devil" doesn't appear in the New Testament that way
We are already there, but not. We are seated with christ but not...
God is out side of time so our past, present and future are ALL God's present. In God's " present time", we are with Him now and all is done. We are just waiting for our time to catch up and for the culmination of all things.
I can’t wait
The intro is way to freaking long......Just really glad that there isn't 20 min of talk about nothing at the start of this one. Thanks for jumping right into the topic rather than the small talk about nothing for 20 min prior
Agreed! Small talk is fine but they overdo it sometimes in my opinion
@ 14:03 isn't Ezekiel 28 talking about Satan before he is kicked out of heaven?, not Adam?
No, thats not the interpretation they take.
@@kylec8950 that's obvious, but wasn't Satan in the Garden of Eden, NOT the King of Tyre
@@kylec8950 you're pointing to the PHYSICAL situation, I'm pointing to the SPIRITUAL behind the physical. We both could be correct

He is the the chief cornerstone, the church is the other stones.
Does someone in the Postmillennial camp have a response to John 18:36? Not that one verse necessarily destroys this hour long argument, but it is certainly ammunition for the Amillennialist.
"ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου" Literallty: Is not from (or "out of") this world.
They're just stories!

But like in a story, you get a glimpse of the end of the events, then the beginning of the story begins. (I don't know
Maybe someone would please share your view on Gen 2, thanks
Thumbs up to this seems inadequate.
Eschatology matters greatly - because we respond to the reality we believe, are fully persuaded that we are living in - for good or bad.

Great stuff, I am left with a question if there is hope for the world, what do we do about jobs? Do we still have them if there just normal jobs?
“Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”
Colossians 3:17 NASB

How does rev 12 fit into your theory especially the end of it
13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child.
