I'd like to watch all of these from the beginning, when you start the series. Can you please put them in a distinct playlist or label them accordingly? Thank you!
Yea, I've suggested this on other videos too. I wish they'd at least title them in a consistent way. They seemed to do that with Dr. White's "Lord's Supper" series, but it would be nice for a Series to have a consistent title with a "Part 1, Part 2, etc." Because there are some "Great Tribulation" videos, some Revelation videos, some Matt 24 videos. I'm not sure if they're all part of the same "Eschatology" series, or if they are different series.

Very cool clarifying video, thanks Jeff and Apologia Studios! My initial understanding when I first read the bible wasn't very clear, and when I delved into learning more, most of what was presented has been the popular modern view that just didn't seem right to me. This understanding of what Jesus was saying is fantastic and refreshing to hear. It's been mind blowing to see how much and how relevant Jesus references within the old testament and in ways that are correct in contrast to our skewed view through our own times' world view; I mean, Jesus is the Word after all. With so many skewed and misinterpreting views of scripture, I'm determined to get refocused on biblical comprehension of the scriptures and historical understanding of the cultures and events surrounding what is said throughout the bible in its times. Anyways, thanks for opening this up and thanks for the other videos on this discourse. Praying for your continued ministry!
This is refreshing!!! Quite a change from the flap trap futurist, ( sell your house, sell your car, go wait on the mountaintop !!) nonsense that permeates much of christian t.v. and radio.!!!! No catching away!!! Jesus said (occupy, until I come.)
I have never ever had the description of "elect" given in that way. No matter how much you read of His word you learn something new about Him and His process in all this. It's extraordinarily humbling. Thank you for this message. It's a tough thing to swallow. Shalom & God bless. 💛🙏
The Preterist view is a very interesting one and one that I had not seriously considered until this message. Everything that happened in the siege of Jerusalem and the connections to the Old Testament covenants are astounding to say the least. However, there are a few points within the Olivet Discourse that I think are conveniently sidestepped by the Pastor which I will lay out below. If anyone wants to take a crack at them, I'm very much so genuinely and good-faith interested in hearing any reply or rebuttal. Matthew 24v3 - The Disciples asked specifically about "the sign of Your coming". Yes, destruction fell on Jerusalem, but was that the Second Coming? The rhetorical answer is no because Jesus said when it finally does happen, it's going to be so obvious to everyone that no one will even have to ask the question. (Matthew 24v27, Revelation 6v16-17) Matthew 24v9 - Jesus says "you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake". Nations is the word "ethnōn" which is close to and essentially our English word for "ethnicities". So, how many ethnicities will hate Jesus' followers at the tribulation time? Israelites and Romans are definitely involved in that at AD 70, but what about Chinese, Native American, Russians, Mayans, and lots of other ethnicities that hadn't even been introduced to the Gospel yet? Jesus said "ALL" nations, not just a handful. Given today's environment and attitudes towards Christians, it's not hard to see how that could happen in the near future, but it's impossible to honestly say that with intellectually integrity was the case back then. Matthew 24v14 - Here Jesus said the Gospel shall be preached to "ALL" the world and for a witness to "ALL" the nations, and THEN the end shall come. Ok, so, pop quiz: had the Gospel been preached in all the world by AD 70? The answer is no, not even close. The Scripture canon had not even yet been completed yet but besides that, the Gospel is still unheard of by people groups to this very day. Revelation 14v6-7 however explains that this very precondition for the end to come will be met supernaturally in the future. Matthew 24v30 - Jesus says that immediately after the tribulation, all the tribes of the earth will mourn because they will visibly see His return. Has that happened yet? Again, no. There are others but I think whoever is reading this should get the picture by now. The Pastor is conveniently leaving out key details that do not fit into what his teaching. That said though, he does raise some incredible points about the topic I had not considered before. The more I wrestle with eschatology the more I am becoming convinced that more than one of the main views are correct. Just like how we are saved (1 John 5v13) and are being saved (1 Corinthians 1v18). Well, which is it? Are we saved or being saved? YES! Both are true. There are other ideas like this in the Bible, where something is but also is not yet (Romans 4v17). The "end times" is another example of what we are currently in (Hebrews 1v2) and is also in the future (Revelation 4-19). Why does it have to be all one exclusive view how to view the end times, the rapture, the millennium, etc.? Can't there be multiple things true at the same time? I find everything the Pastor said extremely intriguing and edifying about the fall of Jerusalem and it's direct connections to the Mosaic Covenant and Jesus' direct warning and the historical evidence of the Christians who escaped from such horror. Yet, all of that happened (AD 70) BEFORE Revelation was written (AD 95). While the Preterist view is intriguing and has some valid points, it is woefully inadequate to explain things that have unarguably not happened yet (e.g. The Second Coming). It's possible that I am misunderstanding what is being argued though so I reserve the right to be wrong. 😅
Thank you for saving me a lot of typing. Let me just add the most obvious thing, that there have been far greater tribulations throughout history than the “localized” events surrounding Jerusalem in 70AD. And the Second Coming is the end of “the world” in the sense of the entire context-all nations-so introducing the word ‘cosmos’ is an irrelevant red herring. It’s “the world” as we know it, geo-political in nature, not geo-physical. Just as the Book of Revelation elaborates so clearly. I don’t find preterism interesting; I find it a annoying source of cognitive dissonance.
I was thinking about some of these verses you mentioned as well as I was listening and it didn't sat right with me that he didn't touch on them but rather pushed to make his Preteristic point of view. Thanks for pointing it out.
@@gregormann7 Read The Destruction of Jerusalem by George Holford [1081]and then see if you think the same...I don't think you will. Written with the facts of the historians of that time, Josephus [Jewish]and Eusibius [Roman]It is a fascinating account of the biblical verses of Matthew 24. There are so many resources to help understand the interpretation of scripture concerning eschatology ....mostly Reformed or Puritan are correct. Just look and read and pray for guidance.
Thank you for your time in writing this! I too have been confused by the interpretation, while still clearly seeing where Olivet points to the AD 70 events. You're not alone in your wondering. Grateful for the book recommendation below, too. In the meantime, thanks be to God, for He knows all. !
The difficulty you're having is the translation of the original into English, interpreted through a contemporary context. Biblical language is full of literary techniques like hyperbole, exaggeration, etc. When the question of the "signs of Your coming" is asked, why would we immediately assume it means the consummation of human history? Does the text warrant such an assumption? When "all" nations are mentioned, would the Lord's hearers assume that it means every people group on the face of the Earth? Also, the late date for John's Revelation might be present consensus but behind that consensus are presuppositions about Biblical eschatology. Furthermore, if given the choice between the internal Biblical argument for an earlier date as opposed to that from early Patristic sources, I'll take the Scriptures.
Always read and study the Scriptures after doing the best you can to purge your presuppositions. It is much more profitable allowing only the text to speak - [ex]egesis

Fun fact: The word translated as earth there is not the word 'cosmos' usually used for world but rather 'gees' which is the word for soil and can mean land, region, or earth.
Remember who Luke was talking to. It wasn’t gentiles. Paul and Barnabas preached to the gentiles. Rightly dividing the word is paramount to understanding bible context.
I have allways believed that what took place on 70ad is what Jesus was warning them of. But, I also believe it was not finished, but put on hold. I believe it was an example of what will come upon the entire world just b4 the 2nd coming of Christ. It was a smaller version confined to the jews, and when God's wrath is poured out on the earth, we will see a global fulfilling of what began in 70 ad. This verse does not refer to the Rapture of the Church. If you read carefully in the context of the Mount Olivet discourse Jesus was talking about events involving Jews, Destruction of the temple (happened in 70 AD) and all the events happening in Judea Jerusalem local area and concerning Jewish future events to happen. The Church is not the Focus of these chapters and verses. This Gathering can only pertain to the remnant Jews that God promised to keep. Note that the gathering Matt 24:31 was done by angels not Jesus. Jesus does personally come at the rapture of the Church, so this is a different event. Also every time Elect is used it does not always mean the Church, it can mean chosen ones and Jews. Context leads me to believe it is directed to Jews and the Jewish Nation. This verse is not a parallel or same event as described in , please read 1st thes 4:13 thru 18 and Ch.5:1-11. We pre trib. See this as the Rapture and find it to fit clearly with the Church being gone from earth before the great Tribulation that comes on the whole earth. Very helpful. I had always wondered why people said these events were future, when they had already happened in the past. I just thought I was missing something.
Apologia, you made me see what I had not put together-wonderful understanding. But I do see that the Bible runs in patterns. Jonathan Cahn points out that during 9/11 we are in a parallel of Isaiah 9:10 judgment. Dr Gary Yates @ biblical-elearning points out echos in Jeremiah meant for the folks of Jeremiah. And there are other examples as well. I do see that there are events in the bible that are only meant for the people of that era. I have to wonder if we are going to experiences echos of these events. Shalom and Agape.
Yeah, so, I'm a little over halfway through. What about Revelation? The explicit events of worldwide destruction are much larger in scale than anything that's happened in human history. It seems that's being ignored here, since the tribulation and rapture is only related in time to these apocalyptic events, not just Jerusalem. The water hasn't yet been contaminated and killed a third of himanity.
Revelation is God’s divine judgment on apostate Israel of the first century. God unleashed His wrath upon the generation who killed the Lord Jesus Christ ❤ Revelation is not a worldwide event for the 21st century. It’s the end of the Old Covenant and the beginning of the New Covenant….. God bless you ❤

If you've spent the required effort studying OT eschatological language, please forgive my presumption. If not, may I humbly invite you to do so. It will give you the same perspective as those who originally heard the message.
You must have some kind of evil agenda. Anyone with a brain can clearly see in Mathew 24 Jesus is talking to that generation. He says those very words."This generation will not pass away until all these things happen ".
I'm a messianic jew trust me God made the covenant with Israel and juda and the nation's were grafted in . God's not through by no means. Lots of promises made yet to be fulfilled. Read Mathew five, he hasn't done away with the law. God will always have a remnant.
I truly enjoyed this video. with its clear exegetical teaching. could you please however, help me to understand how 1 Thess. 4 and 5 fit in light of this understanding of scripture?
This is not in any particular order, just some of my notes on the subject pertaining to your question. Sorry if they seemed jumbled, hopefully they help a bit. John 5:25, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live." One thing that needs to be mentioned right up front is that there is also a tremendous similarity between the language here in this context (1 Thessalonians 4-5) and Matthew 23-25 (esp. Matthew 24:29-31). Matthew 24:29-31 NASB [29] "But immediately after the tribulation of those days the SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND the STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. [30] And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. [31] And He will send forth His angels with a GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. The angels, trumpet and gathering are mentioned in Matthew 24. The angels, trumpet and catching-up are mentioned in 1 Thess. 4. We should always use the easier passages on a subject to help interpret the more difficult ones. In this case, Matthew 24 is the easier one. It is a matter of historical record (Josephus, Eusebius, Tacitus and the Talmud) that the trumpets, voices of angels and angelic activity were seen and heard in the time leading up to and during the destruction of Jerusalem. Unfortunately, many Christians are just not aware of this. They are not being taught this by current (predominantly-futurist) clergy. The “catching-up” (1 Thess. 4:17) or "gathering" (Matt. 24:31) was accomplished when the faithful remnant of Jewish believers with the in-grafted Gentiles were transformed (and transferred) into Christ's new spiritual Israel. This was accomplished at the same time the old fleshly-based Israel was dissolved at A.D. 70. The meeting-place is the heavenly places in Christ - the spiritual kingdom (Eph. 2:6). The “trumpet” of God is thus defined (Strong's Exhaustive Concordance - Greek Dictionary of the New Testament), as a vibration, reverberation, or 'shaking'. This kind of language was used in the Old Testament prophets quite often of God's judgment being poured out on wicked nations. This time the judgment of God was poured out on the Old Covenant world, and shook its institutions to the ground and replaced them with the real spiritual things that had only been prefigured and foreshadowed by the Jewish temple system (Isaiah 13:13, Joel 3:16, Haggai 2:6, Hebrews 12:26 [Ex. 19:18]). Concerning the timing of when this would happen, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 sure sounds like Matthew 24:30-31. In Matthew 16:28, speaking of when it would happen, Jesus claims the same timing as Paul: Jesus said, “Some of you standing here shall not taste death,” Paul said “We who are alive and remain.” The two statements intimate the same thought! Taken individually, each statement means “Some would live to see it!” Whatever it was, it happened in their lifetime! Jesus, in Matthew 16:28, could have just as easily said: Some of you will be "alive and remain" to see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom. Likewise, Paul could have written: There be "some standing here who shall not taste death" until the coming of the Lord. They mean the same thing! What kind of “comfort” is it for the Thessalonians if it's not going to happen for thousands of years? (1 Thessalonians 4:18 )

To that generation to come. You must realize He was speaking to the generation of the fig tree, the generation that would not pass away until they seen ALL those things.. WE ARE THAT LAST GENERATION!
The disciples asked what the signs would be of His return. Which verses are you talking about that refer to his second coming? Are you sure that's what they are talking about or is that just the interpretation you grew up with? I want to help :-)
@Apologia Studios I might be misunderstanding, but I've tried watching this series of videos and have found them very troubling. I have been seeking for a stronger understanding of eschatology and have found nothing but confusion. I know the Lord calls his people to be faithful and endure to the end, while working heartedly to give Him glory and spread His name. I just can't help but think that your position on eschatology affects this tremendously, or at least gives you a brighter outlook on the Kingdom of God, which is what we all should have.BUT I almost think that your viewpoint on eschatology is pretty close to FULL preterism, which is outside of orthodoxy completely and has some significant implications on the rest of our beliefs. I really enjoy your ministry and the passion for Jesus' name you have, but I am hoping to at the very least gain clarity on your eschatological position, and if you actually believe Jesus will return one day. Much love brother.
Cody Tucek look up James Smith. Big black pastor that has a small following not large. The man has deep understanding on scripture, especially end times. Amen
With all due respect it may be closer then say some other eschatological views but it is not full preterism they believe Jesus will return once all his enemies are put under Jesus's feet then the last enemy death will be defeated and then the final resurrection of the dead and final judgment. Full preterism doesn't believe that and so even though partial preterism is close its not a reason to be worried.
@@Chico60Colt , full preterism believes that the coming of the Lord, the kingdom and final judgement and the ressurection, took place in the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70, that would be within the generation in Mathew 24, all the apostles had an eager expectation of all the prophetic events to be fulfilled in their lifetime, because Jesus said so, when Jesus spoke of the tribulation in Mathew 24:21 he was echoing Daniel 12:1, which after that speaks of those who are found written in the book would be spared, and after that would be the ressurection of the just and the unjust, and that would take place when the power of the holy people would be completely shattered, and also when the daily sacrifices would be demolished , Mathew 24 is linked to Daniel 9 and chapter 12 the ressurection happens at the end of the age which would be before Jesus generation passes away.full preterism is accurate on the timing biblicly, partial preterism has to explain on a third coming and that the ressurection would happen at the end of the Christian age, or at the end of time, which the apostles new nothing about the age that would end would be the old covanent age and the age to come would be the kingdom and the age of Christ which has no end Isaiah 9:6 Daniel 2.:44. Hebrews 9:28 teaches of 2 comings not three , His first coming was to bare the sins of many the second is to bring salvation. The apostles were oblivious of a third coming and a ressurection at the end of the Christian age, I would say full preterism is more accurate, then partial preterism, the reason partial preterism exist is because they would go against tradition and church creeds, so they want to be middle ground. There belief in "sola scriptura" was put to the test, and so they choose tradition over it.
Look up Chuck Missler and his studies on this subject. The Matthew and Luke accounts speak of 2 different events... one past (70AD), and one future which is yet to happen.
@@chrissierestall5952 I would respectfully disagree there is no way someone who is just reading the text will say that Matthew and Luke are talking about two different events. They both line up in the same spot during the olivet discourse. The only difference is Luke is talking to a gentile audience so he describes the abomination of desolation as when you see armies surrounding Jerusalem then flee to the mountains. We can use Luke to interpret what Matthew is talking about is the abomination of desolation. To say that its two different events is to really misinterpret the text.
My brother, I'm grateful for your presentation. However, I was trying to follow your study. What I don't see how it fits into this preterist view is from Matt. 24:23-31. Especially, verses 29-31 where it seems that it is speaking to the final appearance of Jesus Christ and the gathering of the elect. I cannot see how that has happened already. I will be grateful if you could shed some light on it in light of what you have already put forth.
I have a question, not rhetorical or sarcastic, does God require works of going to church for eternal life? Or could one repent for their sins, announce Jesus as their savior and give their life to God be enough?
The only "requirements" for salvation is your faith and belief in the finished work of Christ on the cross, His burial and resurrection. If one truly believes on and wants to follow Christ then the fruit will show sooner or later. One doesn't have to go to a building to "get saved" however, in the book of Hebrews we are instructed not to forsake gathering together. The coming together is for learning and encouragement. Hope that helped.
Isaiah 13:22 and Habakkuk 2:3-4, for example, speak of the imminence of the judgment to come upon Babylon. It is interesting to note that Isaiah was writing between 740 and 701 B.C., while Habakkuk wrote sometime between 609 and 598. Yet both spoke of Babylon’s judgment using short-term time texts. Isaiah says it is “near.” Habakkuk tells the people that “it will not tarry.” Babylon fell to the Persians in 539. . . . Isaiah 56:1 says that God’s salvation is “about to come.” Writing in the early sixth century B.C., Ezekiel says that “the fulfillment of every vision” is “at hand” (12:23). Writing after the Exile, in approximately 520, Haggai proclaims the following word from God: “Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land . . . (2:6-7). If this prophecy was fulfilled at the coming of Christ, as Hebrews 12:26-28 seems to indicate, then “a little while” was more than 520 years.48
Great explanation of ch 24! The only verses that are not clarified or mentioned are 30 and 31 - if Yeshua talked about the destruction of the Temple and the end of the old covenant, then how verses 30-31 fit into the event? Could you please talk about it? Thank you.
What do you do about Jesus saying “such that has never been and never will be again.” Referring to tribulation. I agree with a lot of what you unpack but I’d like to see what it is you believe the Bible says about the end time (actual end of history). Things like the quote above and things in Revelation like the two witnesses and buying and selling, catching away and so forth.
No it’s only partially addressed. I get that it was a crazy grotesque war and I get the scriptural relevance of that but the holocaust killed 6 million Jews and I’m sure people were forced to eat each other at other times in history. Pastor Jeff never addresses things like the mark of the beast, two witnesses, catching away, Ezekiel 38-39. For instance many of Isaiah’s judgement oracles had a double fulfillment. What makes Pastor Jeff think that is not the case here and I’m curious to know what he believes the actual second coming will look like. He’s very good at what he does but I feel like he just doesn’t address the issues that are a problem for that particular eschatology.
I'm sorry, but when Jesus says "This generation", it it not the generation based on the context of the chapter? Why would Jesus spend the whole time preaching about these things, only to come out and say all this will happen to YOUR generation. He is saying THIS generation as in the generation that is experiencing and seeing these things transpire, not to the generation he is speaking to necessarily.
That's the supernatural PERFECTION of the Bible, (I'm KJB only)-- it has the ability to reach through generations and speak to the *current* individual reader on a personal basis.
Those things all happened to the people of that generation, he told them all these things would happen to that generation,,, and it did happen ..70ad.temple destruction

Some think a generation is 40 years Some think a generation is 100 years Something a generation is 400 years I believe this generation is 40 years because from the life of Jesus to the Destruction of the 2nd temple was 40 years, and it happened according to the word of Jesus. That the blood of Abel and to the blood of Zechariah, that it will fall upon that(this) generation. When Jesus was given to the gentiles, the Jews said "let his blood fall upon us and on our children" And thats exactly what happened!
@Awakened By Christ Yes, i believe theres more prophecies to come. Like the antichrist and the return of our Lord Jesus in the clouds. For now we need to hold on tight to the word of God and pray (& fasting) fervently. Jesus is coming soon
I can’t get around very heavy preterist aspects of all of it discourse but I am having to work so hard not to slip into full credit reason when I am trying to be consistent with the ideas. The issue is that it’s outside of church orthodoxy and I genuinely Can’t get behind the full preterist hyper spiritual interpretations of the resurrection it’s just bogus. Can you help me out please? I believe the Lord really is in the process of making all things new, and that could includes all of creation, which is more than just the land of Israel and the surrounding land so I believe is refer to in hyperbole in the olivet discourse
Romans 5.9, I Thessalonians 1.10, 5.9, and Revelation 3.10 are four distinct declarative statements about "end times". Revelation 4.1 is the trumpet blast from the Feast of Trumpets which is I Corinthians 15.51-53, I Thessalonians 4.12-18. When God pulls or removes the Holy Spirit from earth, believers also "go", fulfilling John 14.1-6. Then and only then does Daniel's 70th week happen, 7 years of hell. Even during this time "tribulation saints" will give a witness on earth.
But Jeff, the question asked of Jesus was: Tell us :when these things would happen, and what signs would be of your coming, and of the end of the times? I agree the question was asked after Jesus said that Jerusalem would be destroyed in the present time. But he was there in the flesh in that present time, so he answer the first question, yet he is also answering about the second question about His second coming, and event that has not happened unlike the destruction of Jerusalem and the killing of almost all the people that leaved there at the time. Also the gospel needs to reach the entire world(also in the future) before the end comes, and the desolate abomination in Daniel 9:27, 11:31, and 12:11 is i reference to the destruction of Jerusalem. The it says: those who read, understand, referring to Daniel prophesy witch also gives you number of days Daniel 12:11. From the time of his death(Jesus), until the desolate abomination 1290 days(years in prophetic language). BUt if you read Daniel in context from 12:8 down, you see that Daniel did not understood neither and was told to seal and close the book until the end and also says that those that that where good would understand.SO in Mathew 24: 27 he obviously was talking about his second coming when he said his 2nd coming would be like lightning form east to west. Every eye will see him at the same time all around the world. So I believe(actually, understand), that yes he was referring to their judgement for rejecting him when he came the first time, but also he was referring to the end of ALL time, when there will be (Mathew 24:21) tribulation like never has been(never, not even when Jerusalem was destroyed, past tense, it happened), since the beginning of time until now, not will ever be (including the time when Jerusalem and the Jews were annihilated, or passed judgement according with you). Now He is answering the second question,; what would be the signs of your coming and of the end of time. (Mathew 24:21-28) Last, in Mathew 24:35 He says: I certainly tell you that this generation (witch is your argument for saying this was the judgement for the Jews at that time) will not pass until all these thing happen. Witch generation? Has Christ come a second time and I missed it.? NO every eye shall see Him come. So He was talking also about our generation, out time. Christians are being persecuted today more that ever all over the world, decapitated, ran out of their countries. Even in the US we are ridicule for our values, our views on homosexuality and abortion. The rest of chapter 24 and 25 He continues talking about the second coming. Like in the days of Noah...!
Thank you. MUST SEE THIS. This is an understanding the Lord gave me on 12th of June 2021. A- If you read Revelation 12, you will understand the following: * This introduction “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven” means that the story (= truth) described in Revelation 12 will be understood easily by so many people over the world, without need of explanation. When we see a wonder in heaven, we see a fact, there is no need of explanation, we figure out what we see, it is a reality, we become eye witness. The story (= truth) in Revelation 12 will be like a great wonder in heaven, God will open the mind of many people over the world so that they will understand very easily this truth. Nowadays, many people still think that this story is a blabla of religion or an imagination or a dream in the Bible. But there will be a time where everybody will be aware of all the truth in Revelation 12. * Woman having a crown of twelve stars upon her head, travailing in birth = Israel, 12 son’s of Jacob. * She delivered a man child who was caught up unto God = Lord Jesus. * She flees unto the wilderness, God feeds her there 1260 days = Jews must leave Jerusalem for another place, the wilderness. Jews will be fed there by God for 1260 years. * After the war in heaven, the dragon was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him, Michael and his angels overcame the dragon by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony = this war happened sometimes after the Lord rose from dead. * The dragon went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ = Satan pursues whom ever is accepting in his heart the Lord Jesus, because their number is increasing fastly comparing to the number of Jews. I understand A like this: this story in Revelation 12 talks about facts that happened already in the past up to our present time. The woman is Israel, the man child is the Lord Jesus, after his ministry on earth, He rose back into heaven. Sometimes later, there was a time where Jews left Jerusalem, to feed to the wilderness. Wilderness here is the different countries over the world where Jews lived for a duration of 1260 years . God fed them there, this is how we can understand why the business of many Jews flourish everywhere they do it. But this story, this truth is not yet understood by the whole people over the earth. The revelation to John is then to announce that in the future, people across all nations will understand this truth, it will be very clear to them, just like “a great wonder appearing in heaven”. But when is the start and the end of the 1260 days? B- If you read Matthew 24: 15-18, you will understand the following: * When Jews see the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place as per Daniel, let them fled to the mountains = Lord Jesus says exactly that when the abomination of desolation takes place on the holy place, This is the time for Jews to flee, leave Jerusalem for another place. From A and B, we have got the word FLEE out of Jerusalem for Jews, to go to live unto another place, and being fed there by God during 1260 days which means 1260 years. But when is the end of the 1260 years? Now have a look in Wikipedia website to see when the “State of Israel” was created? You will see this on the summary at the right side “Declaration: 14th of May 1948”. This is the date the entire world testimonies the creation of Israel, then many Jews are back to their land. This is the end of the 1260 years. But when is the start of the 1260 years. Just do 1948 - 1260 = 688. Now have a look in Wikipedia website to see when the “Dome of the Rock” was built on the Holy Place? You will see this in the summary at the right side “Date: built 688 - 692”. So the start of the built of the Dome of the Rock in 688 is the start of the 1260 years. WOW, how the calculation of God is so exact! Ok, the abomination of desolation, on the eyes of God of Israel, on the eyes of the Lord Jesus, on the eyes of Jews is to build something on the place of the holy Temple. Even Jews are forbidden by their chief rabbi’s to walk on the Temple mont in order to avoid to put the leg unintentionally on the holy of holy. C- If you read Daniel 1:1 - 2, you will understand the following: * God gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar in the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Juda. * Nebuchadnezzar king took part of the vessels used for sacrifice from the Holy Temple to Babylon, it means that the daily sacrifice was stopped because of missing vessels. D- If you read Daniel 12: 11 - 12, you will understand the following: * From daily sacrifice taken away to abomination of desolation set up, there is 1290 years * From abomination of desolation set up to “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to…”, there is 1335 years. Now have a look in Wikipedia website to see when the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah started? You will see this on the summary at the right side “Reign: 609 - 598 BC”. Then by considering C first *, we have got 609 - 3 = 606 BC, this should be the year where Nebuchadnezzar king took the Holy vessels to Babylon. But Is this information reliable: “Reign: 609 - 598 BC of Jehoiakim king of Judah”? Watch this now, by considering C secund * (daily sacrifice stopped) and D first * (1290 years) and the built in 688 of the Dome of the Rock (= abomination of desolation on the Holy Place), we have got: 1290 - 688 + 1 = 603 BC We have to add 1 because there is no year 0. 603 BC is closed to 606 BC from calculation above. But what is the “EXACT” year among both? I believe 603 BC is the “EXACT” year where the daily sacrifice was taken away. Why? Because we know exactly today the date of the creation of the state of Israel (14th May 1948), the Bible told us that this is the end of the 1260 days of Jews being in the wilderness, so we can EXACTLY calculate 1948 - 1260 = 688 which match with the year of built of the Dome of the Rock in Wikipedia website. If you read the details about the commencement of the built in Wikipedia, you will see 3 approximate years in the write up: 685, 686 and 688. I believe the EXACT year is 688 from our calculation. If 688 is the set up of the abomination of desolation, then if we consider D secund * (1335 years), we have got 688 + 1335 = 2023. WOW, we don’t know what will happen in 2023 but Daniel said: “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the 1335 days”. Dear friends, God bless you all, to reach 2023. SEE YOU IN HEAVEN

If the Olivet Discourse is talking directly about the generation of that time, did Jesus already come on the clouds and gather his elect after the tribulation of "those days"? If so was it just the "elect of those days"? If not than how could Jesus be speaking about just that period in time and not a future event? Signs of the End of the Age As he(Jesus) sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell US, when will these things be, and what will be THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING AND THE END OF THE AGE?”Mt. 24:3... The Abomination of Desolation “SO WHEN YOU SEE the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), ...For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the ELECT THOSE DAYS will be cut short. Mt 24:15,21-22 The Coming of the Son of Man “IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Mt. 29-31 So also, when YOU SEE ALL THESE THINGS, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to YOU, THIS GENERATION will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Still waiting for Jeff to address the mature fig tree from olivet discourse. Also with reoccurring themes I'd expect some kind of replay... Tribulation now!
@@morneadsense the bible is replete with reoccurring themes. The abomination will happen again. As for the mature fig tree, its part of the olivet discourse. Some interpritztions have to do with Israel and a maturing of conditions in regard to them and this prophecy. Such as Israel returning to their land and becoming a nation again and 1 generation (in biblical hebrew thinking) is 70 years - 80 years if in abundance/prosperity. May 14 2018 was 70 years of Israel prosperity. Couldn't it be said that the fig tree is about ripe? To be clear, I am a student not a scholar. Jeff makes sense but hasnt covered everything Jesus said on the Mount of Olives. When I look around it seems to me the tribulation is now. About 1.5 years into the first 3.5 years... ish Did I answer your question?
Not to complain but I am, who ever is the parent of the child crying thru the whole video why didn't you go get your baby to comfort and let the Pastor be heard, I kept getting distracted by his/ her cries😏😥, great teaching do! God bless
Good sermon, but you made a mistake. In the siege of Jerusalem, it was NOT the Romans who searched houses for food, it was the zealots who did that to their own people in the walls. Josephus is very hard to read because of his rambling style. It's an easy mistake to make.
Ok, I can accept that Tribulation has already occured to the Jerusalem Hebrew people after the death of Jesus. But, now, what about the antichrist and the false prophet plus the Mark of the Beast? Is that still going to occur?
Jesus when He was here spoke on a level that all, even poorest lowest people could understand, would it not also make sense that the Word of God was just as simple? My favorite way to study is to compare scripture with scripture. When we read the four Gospels we are reading many of the same things from each of the four's own perspective that the Holy Ghost used and in those things that are the same accounts we call them parallel passages. the sower, Mat 13, Mar 4, luke 8, these tell the same parable, they all share common elements and are why we call them parallel passages. if I were to claim that non of those were parallel passages everyone would look at me like I was crazy, what do you mean they are not the same? can't you read? exactly my point, most of the church world ignors the common elements found in rapture passages and because they have accepted a dogma teaching they do exactly that they look at passages that are parallel because they contain the same elements and say oh no that is not the rapture because it says after and we know that it comes before... but when it come to the Rapture, all of that is tossed out the window and a very complex and convoluted dogma is taught that ignors common elements that would make those verses parallel to each other, oh but you don't understand blah blah is the true doctrine on that, ya and blah blah takes common sense reading and turns it on its head to keep a dogma taught by most of the "churches today"
Believers understand, not those who have never been born again of the Spirit. There- in lies the biggest problem and another is the fact that there is so much error taught in churches today so people are confused and unable to understand correctly because their foundations are error. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. For instance, embracing Arminianism, that will change the reading and understanding of the bible greatly and bring lots of error.
@@laurenlimebrook9828 Yep and for instance embracing calvinism brings in even worse error, as almost 400 baptist pastors, youth pastors, deacons, and baptist run school principles and teachers have used once saved always saved to molest 700 children over the past 20 years one being just 3 years old, these are those who have already been through the court system charged and sentenced for abusing their trust and grooming the children in their care for relations. Those are just the ones who have been reported and gone through the system, that the Houston Chronicle and the San Antonio Sun did a joint investigation and found. Many times these men before they could be prosecuted were shipped to another state when these things were found out, and they were free to start all over with new children. www.amazon.com/Big-Book-Bad-Baptist-Preachers/dp/1518883664 stopbaptistpredators.org/index.htm I would tend to think that the women who find out about these things would be plenty mad and raging that the leaders of their denomination are using osas as a license to molest children, are you mad that this is happening? as a woman? does not matter what your denomination is, does that make you angry? it should.
@@jacobharrison6255 Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. If what you said does not take place then you have placed yourself under the curse that comes with adding to or taking away from this book, that goes for anyone myself included and why I try to be very particular with what I say about the Book of Revelation. there is a guy dunamis333 or something like that he has predicted the rapture 2-3 time would take place on such and such a day.

It isn't true that the New Covenant has no requirements for partakers, just gifts. There are more difficult "laws" to keep than the Mosaic Covenant, such as "do not even look lustfully at a woman (man)".This is because our hearts are made new, and, if we are led by the Spirit, we are enabled to live pure lives, directed by His wisdom, counsel and ways. We also can walk away from the Lord, or "deny Him", in which case He will deny us before the Father. Faithfulness is therefore also required, although if a person repents and changes their ways, they will be forgiven because of Christ's death. All this is explained in Ezekiel 36 and around that chapter.
Jeff, Matthew 24 has to be a dual prophecy.... For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.... your wrong
I wouldn't want to have a kid because I would be bringing a child in a world and on a two-way path that it's possible for them to go to hell and I wouldn't want to be a part of that💯..
this is incorrect.... he uses a speech talking to the multitude(ch 23) to use for context while speaking to a DIFFERENT set of people in (HIS disciples)(ch 24,25).

Thank You for reading the bible and Taking Jesus at His word!!! about Matt 24!
I'd like to watch all of these from the beginning, when you start the series. Can you please put them in a distinct playlist or label them accordingly? Thank you!
Yes, please do it. The order is confusing and I would like to show them in order to others.

(Matthew 24v27, Revelation 6v16-17)
Matthew 24v9 - Jesus says "you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake".

God bless you Pastor Jeff, this message is encouraging and I’m definitely going back to read these scriptures. Thank God for Pastors as yourself.

So what are the signs of the end of the world and when does it end ?
Sign 1: Matthew 24:14 the gospel will be preached over the whole world. See Rev 14:6-7 for future fulfillment.
Sign 2: Matthew 24:15 Antichrist will stand in the holy place in a restored 3rd temple and commit the abomination of desolation, declaring himself to be god to be worshipped. He backs this threat up with demanding his mark . This will set off great tribulation of believers, seal 5 Martyrdom of Rev 6 and Rev 13’s detail of the 42 mo reign of terror authorized by God.
Sign 3 Matthew 24:30-31 . Jesus appears coming in the clouds, (just like angels promised in Acts 1:11. In The same way). ALL THE TRIBES of the earth (including Jews see Zech 12:10) mourn, and then hide in caves awaiting physical wrath, Rev 6:15-17.

if matthew 24 and daniel prophecy is past tense then when did jesus return and it would mean this is all there is..watch joel richardsons interpretation of daniel phrophecy and olivet discourse...makes more sense than past tense
What does it mean in Matt 24:31 were he'll send His angels to gather His elect according to postmil teaching, anybody??
Post Mil and post trib. just don't fit with scripture IMHO Hope this helps you Bill. God bless you Art Carlson
It’s important to rightly divide is the point.
Powerful sermon, Pastor Jeff.

John 5:25, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live."
One thing that needs to be mentioned right up front is that there is also a tremendous similarity between the language here in this context (1 Thessalonians 4-5) and Matthew 23-25 (esp. Matthew 24:29-31).
Matthew 24:29-31 NASB
[29] "But immediately after the tribulation of those days the SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND the STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
In Matthew 16:28, speaking of when it would happen, Jesus claims the same timing as Paul: Jesus said, “Some of you standing here shall not taste death,” Paul said “We who are alive and remain.”
The two statements intimate the same thought!
@@J.F.331 Thanks mate. Putting aside decades of tradition is difficult. I must admit that much of what I was taught from the futurist position did not seem to connect but know that I can see how all scripture fits together, it's really exciting. Thanks again.

I might be misunderstanding, but I've tried watching this series of videos and have found them very troubling.
Writing after the Exile, in approximately 520, Haggai proclaims the following word from God: “Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land . . . (2:6-7). If this prophecy was fulfilled at the coming of Christ, as Hebrews 12:26-28 seems to indicate, then “a little while” was more than 520 years.48
Well, that was awesome
Were all of the New Testament scriptures written before the destruction of Jerusalem ?
No
Yes they were.
Yessir ❤
He addresses that in this message.
Those things all happened to the people of that generation, he told them all these things would happen to that generation,,, and it did happen ..70ad.temple destruction
so End Times ALREADY DONE At First Century? (Rev. 6:11-17) | Dr. Gene Kim ? he has some good points and does refer to you. I'd love to see a debate face to face! I think you both right
Gene Kim is a hardcore dispensationalist 😮
He says Matthew 24 was for the generation of that time. I don't understand that because it seems like it applies today.
I might and it might not be... people are divided over what a Generation is.
Some think a generation is 40 years
Some think a generation is 100 years
Something a generation is 400 years
I believe this generation is 40 years because from the life of Jesus to the Destruction of the 2nd temple was 40 years, and it happened according to the word of Jesus. That the blood of Abel and to the blood of Zechariah, that it will fall upon that(this) generation.
When Jesus was given to the gentiles, the Jews said "let his blood fall upon us and on our children"
And thats exactly what happened!
@Awakened By Christ Yes, i believe theres more prophecies to come. Like the antichrist and the return of our Lord Jesus in the clouds. For now we need to hold on tight to the word of God and pray (& fasting) fervently. Jesus is coming soon
Once studied, partial preterism is the only view that remains consistent upon the context.
Amen
I can’t get around very heavy preterist aspects of all of it discourse but I am having to work so hard not to slip into full credit reason when I am trying to be consistent with the ideas. The issue is that it’s outside of church orthodoxy and I genuinely Can’t get behind the full preterist hyper spiritual interpretations of the resurrection it’s just bogus. Can you help me out please? I believe the Lord really is in the process of making all things new, and that could includes all of creation, which is more than just the land of Israel and the surrounding land so I believe is refer to in hyperbole in the olivet discourse
Remember the sabbath, and keep it Holy.
The seventh day of the week, Saturday.
So where’s James White ?
Romans 5.9, I Thessalonians 1.10, 5.9, and Revelation 3.10 are four distinct declarative statements about "end times". Revelation 4.1 is the trumpet blast from the Feast of Trumpets which is I Corinthians 15.51-53, I Thessalonians 4.12-18. When God pulls or removes the Holy Spirit from earth, believers also "go", fulfilling John 14.1-6. Then and only then does Daniel's 70th week happen, 7 years of hell. Even during this time "tribulation saints" will give a witness on earth.
He sits. Malachi 3:3
A- If you read Revelation 12, you will understand the following:
* This introduction “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven” means that the story (= truth) described in Revelation 12 will be understood easily by so many people over the world, without need of explanation.
B- If you read Matthew 24: 15-18, you will understand the following:
* When Jews see the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place as per Daniel, let them fled to the mountains = Lord Jesus says exactly that when the abomination of desolation takes place on the holy place, This is the time for Jews to flee, leave Jerusalem for another place.
C- If you read Daniel 1:1 - 2, you will understand the following:
* God gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar in the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Juda.
* Nebuchadnezzar king took part of the vessels used for sacrifice from the Holy Temple to Babylon, it means that the daily sacrifice was stopped because of missing vessels.
D- If you read Daniel 12: 11 - 12, you will understand the following:
* From daily sacrifice taken away to abomination of desolation set up, there is 1290 years
* From abomination of desolation set up to “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to…”, there is 1335 years.
Watch this now, by considering C secund * (daily sacrifice stopped) and D first * (1290 years) and the built in 688 of the Dome of the Rock (= abomination of desolation on the Holy Place), we have got:
1290 - 688 + 1 = 603 BC
We have to add 1 because there is no year 0.

Nonsense
Do you think Christ is a Calvinist?
If the Olivet Discourse is talking directly about the generation of that time, did Jesus already come on the clouds and gather his elect after the tribulation of "those days"? If so was it just the "elect of those days"? If not than how could Jesus be speaking about just that period in time and not a future event?
Signs of the End of the Age
As he(Jesus) sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell US, when will these things be, and what will be THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING AND THE END OF THE AGE?”Mt. 24:3...
The Abomination of Desolation
“SO WHEN YOU SEE the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), ...For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the ELECT THOSE DAYS will be cut short. Mt 24:15,21-22
The Coming of the Son of Man
“IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Mt. 29-31
So also, when YOU SEE ALL THESE THINGS, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to YOU, THIS GENERATION will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
No One Knows That Day and Hour
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. Mt. 24:33-36
Amen to that brother !!!
So is this video claiming that none of this is about the future?

Still waiting for Jeff to address the mature fig tree from olivet discourse. Also with reoccurring themes I'd expect some kind of replay...
Tribulation now!
Hey there, what do you mean with your comment?
About 1.5 years into the first 3.5 years... ish
Did I answer your question?
Not to complain but I am, who ever is the parent of the child crying thru the whole video why didn't you go get your baby to comfort and let the Pastor be heard, I kept getting distracted by his/ her cries😏😥, great teaching do! God bless

Good sermon, but you made a mistake. In the siege of Jerusalem, it was NOT the Romans who searched houses for food, it was the zealots who did that to their own people in the walls.
Josephus is very hard to read because of his rambling style. It's an easy mistake to make.
I feel like an idiot, because it is so hard for me to keep track and follow what is being said. Too much paraphrasing. I think I must be getting old.
Ok, I can accept that Tribulation has already occured to the Jerusalem Hebrew people after the death of Jesus. But, now, what about the antichrist and the false prophet plus the Mark of the Beast? Is that still going to occur?
a tribulation not the Tribulation. not to be confused with the tribulation to come upon the whole earth.
Jesus did not make a covenant with the church. It’s grace only.
@@laurenlimebrook9828
Yep and for instance embracing calvinism brings in even worse error, as almost 400 baptist pastors, youth pastors, deacons, and baptist run school principles and teachers have used once saved always saved to molest 700 children over the past 20 years one being just 3 years old, these are those who have already been through the court system charged and sentenced for abusing their trust and grooming the children in their care for relations.
Those are just the ones who have been reported and gone through the system, that the Houston Chronicle and the San Antonio Sun did a joint investigation and found.
Many times these men before they could be prosecuted were shipped to another state when these things were found out, and they were free to start all over with new children.

stopbaptistpredators.org/index.htm
I would tend to think that the women who find out about these things would be plenty mad and raging that the leaders of their denomination are using osas as a license to molest children, are you mad that this is happening? as a woman? does not matter what your denomination is, does that make you angry? it should.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Are there signs for today?
