I used to attend a small country church from my first Sunday on this earth. As a teen, I drifted. I didn’t end up going back seriously till I was 27 after the birth of my first child. A few years in, and now with two kids I wasn’t feeling as feed as I used to. I wasn’t able to grow anymore it felt like. So I stopped going for a few years. I could see a change in my children, and I realized what the cause was. It was about that time that my grandfather had passed. He was the senior pastor, and a close friend of mine. It really hurt me, so I stopped going all together. I went from proclaiming his word in public to strangers, to not opening my Bible for years. The kids ended up going to the church in the small town we lived in. I seen them growing in there faith, and it started to convict me. Out of curiosity I attended one Sunday service, and I can not explain the joy that filled me to every molecule in my body. We ended up moving a few miles away over the hill to the next town. It was there that the new neighbor came to welcome us, and said if you were looking for a new church since you moved, you could come with us SOME Sunday. Didn’t push for the next Sunday, rather they said it a few times, SOME SUNDAY! Well I ended up getting convicted and went that Sunday. It was the second best decision I ever maid. Now I’m not comparing myself to Jesus, not in the least. I did feel like Jesus did though in the fact that he wasn’t taken seriously in his hometown, so he left. Now I can say that if I’m not working on Sunday, I attend in person. If I am working, I catch the livestream. What I’m trying to say is sometimes it’s good to change a venue. I don’t know you, same way you don’t know me. Just consider finding a different church that teaches the word of God. Sometimes we stop going for unseen reasons. I hope you have found a place to worship with like minded believers.

I am a life-long believer in Christ, since the age of 4 when I prayed with child's faith to receive salvation. I've been a passive Baptist for most of my life, with short seasons of renewal but quickly becoming distracted. In the past few weeks, God has stirred a hunger in my soul for truth and knowledge of Him through Scripture. I am drawn to know it like never before, and to seek the fellowship and fullness of God's authority in my life that I've taken for granted. I've consumed several hours of these sermons this week, and I love how it doesn't satisfy me to simply hear them - they drive me into the Word! Thank you Apologia Church and Pastor Jeff for sharing these teachings from the Word of God.

Thankyou for giving your heart with the words of God. I have listened to many things you have said and if tears could fall from my heart they surely would.
My sadness is for Jesus, I’m sad I never understood who he was, his incredible strength and his love that there is no word beautiful enough to describe. He has pillaged my heart and is the fierce lion that takes what is his, because with tears of shame and heaviness I wanted him too. I agree. It's strange though. When I was an atheist I knew the bible better than when I came to God at first. As an atheist I read the Bible and scoffed at Christians who praised God but didn't understand that this judgement was already brought upon the covenant breakers. I mocked them for being ignorant.
When I came to Christ I went STRAIGHT into the hands of other Christians and they were pre-mil.
Once I went into a real phase of study I began to understand and see. I remembered these things. Then it all came together. The honest reading but this time WITH a submission to the Lord.

Finally, imagine that you are somewhat familiar with first century Israel and its social, political, and religious factors. Absolutely. I swear, many Christians, especially here in the west, read the Bible like 21st century Christians. They fail to read it in the historical context of the first century readers. Revelation was written by John who was a Jew, and it was written to the Jewish followers of Jesus, and Revelation is filled with Jewish language, imagery, and symbolism everywhere that has direct ties to the Old Testament. We make up these crazy ideas of what we think the locusts are, what the horsemen are, etc. and we don't even ask the question: is this how the first century JEWISH followers of Jesus would've understood it as?

Jeff is wrong about Revelations. He isn't an authority on this aspect of God's word. It's not his fault, It was God's choice for it to be that way. The Beast is not Rome, the beast is the "one Satan uses to deceive the whole world" (this deception quote is near the end of rev). Has anyone deceived the whole world, ever? No.
Don't misunderstand me, just because Jeff wants to believe he is right doesn't mean he is not correct about the majority of what his ministry teaches. His apologetics, i.e. Worldview supposition argumentation is correct. His view of Rev. came from "other people". One can only have an understanding in regard to these subjects by it being an innate gift from God. Most of the symbolic verses in rev. are not meant to be dissected and parsed out like Jeff has been taught. There are aspects of Rev. no one will ever know, it's planned that way by God. A lot of what Rev. discusses is being spoken to those people already in the other life. They are souls or in spirit.
This following verse is separated from any connection to the prior message to the church discussed before it. It should be obvious because it says "churches".
Rev. 2--11 "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt at all by the second death."
If this message is being heard by people whose bodies have died, i.e. the first death. then the messages are being given to those who are already souls, spirits only...etc. They haven't suffered the second death. death of the soul, which is eternal condemnation.

Endtimeprophecy777 This is an easy answer. As the Bible tells us, the New Jerusalem is we the church. John introduces the New Jerusalem as the lambs wife, a bride adorned. You’re then taking that literal so you take the need for a physical sun literal. The final judgement is yet to come after the millennium and at that point sin is eradicated and the eternal state begins. Easy answers to basic questions.

The entire Christian Church of the Ptrotestant Refrm. knew the anti-christ was the papacy and the beast was their gov't based in Rome.....for centuries they knew this. This is kept from Christians today and history is not taught. Even as wonderful as Jacob Prasch is, he is deceived by this. I a sorry to say it. But check it out for yourself! It is easy if you try and look. Check out Richard Bennett on you tube or Berean Beacon.org

@@laurenlimebrook9828 thanks for sharing your thoughts. We see the church in the first four chapters of Revelation. Then the church is not spoken of again, until Revelation 19:14 and the armies in heaven, clothed in white linen, white and clean, follow him on white horses. Why is it the church is not spoken of after chapter 4 in Revelation until chapter 19? and why is the church coming with him from heaven in the second coming?

@Todd Ferguson and I am sorry to break this too you but being a Christian does not involve some kind of Democratized system like you like to think of it in America. God set the rules with the Apostles and when he knew he was leaving them to be sacrificed for our sins he appointed a Prime Minster as all Jewish Kings did to carry the keys in his absence. I know there is a lot too dislike about the Catholic Church especially if you have been raised to hate it but read History. The early church practiced liturgical service and the Mass like it was shown to them by Christ in the upper room Study the Early Church Fathers and I celebrated Mass Sunday the same way as they describe celebrating it in the 1st 50 years after Christ rose from the dead. You are not a Christian if you are not faithful practicing Catholic that confesses his sins and receives the Christ - the Lamb of God.
Jesus said to them, "Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

The key to your Matthew verse is until- or till ye say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. That's when they would see him in the second coming. When they repent and call on him whom they pierced. You shall not see me henceforth till, he say blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. Romans 11 makes it clear that this will occur at the end of the Gentile age then all Israel will be saved.

These topics are great for online learning. The problem is, not finding a church that teaches the same. So you either not attend a church or attend a church where they preach and teach the opposite of what you believe. But what is the point if you are sitting and mentally negating everything g coming from the pulpit and gaining nothing from the sermon? This needs to be addressed by those telling others how they need to attend church because it’s what the Bible commands…they make the one not attending church feel irresponsible while ignoring the irresponsible acts of these churches

    Hello Pastor Jeff,
I took a course on the Book of Revelation at my local Bible College and my eyes were totally opened. They taught some of the same things you did, context matters! I guess my question is, If Christ’s Kingdom has been established, then are there any prophetic texts that talk about the Second Coming? Thank you for your time!

    • @beaulin5628
      @beaulin5628 5 лет назад +4

Yes, "context" matters. And he is taking all kinds of things out of context. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse loose judgments on the whole "EARTH", not just Jerusalem in 79 AD. Absurd teaching.
Revelation 6:4 "And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the EARTH, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword."
Revelation 6:8 "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the FOURTH PART of the EARTH, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."
25% of people on planet earth die and he claims this was fulfilled in the tiny locale of Jerusalem in 70 AD? Totally absurd. Almost delusional. Perhaps we should say he is "amazingly creative" in his ability to twist the obvious meanings of Bible verses.

@@beaulin5628 The problem with your interpretation is you are imposing your 21st century thinking into the text. Earth is the Greek word for "land" which doesnt always mean the entire earth, but rather inhabited earth.
Secondly, when studying the book of Revelation, one must look at numbers carefully as most are symbolic. I say all this as someone who does not hold to Jeff's interpretation either.
