    Let's not forget the defendant pled GUILTY himself. The defense has harassed the judge and has broken decorum, stalled at every turn, been late, talking out loud to each other during testimony, been overly argumentative against the judge since the start and all along purposefully in order to try and force a mistrial. The judge deserves a medal for holding back as long as she did. The defense made a mockery of a court of law. The crime was premeditated murder and if anyone deserves the death penalty it's the defendant. Hopefully he just gets life without parole because it would be a torture worse than death for a coward like him.

    I get the feeling that the defence has been looking for a mistrial from day one. Yes that’s their job but they have be so disrespectful not just to court proceedings but to the parents too indirectly.
    From day one I’ve seen comments about how the judge looks, her hair, her nails and so on being rude and disrespectful. If this had been a man who took care in his appearance, wore his hair fashionably, had his hands manicured, wore Armani suits etc not a word would have been spoken in disrespect.
    I seen comments about how they would like to ‘do her’ and good god how it angers me. That she is hot, that the lipstick she is wearing is the wrong shade etc, oh it must be the time of the month!! ( let’s not forget Camille Vasquez Jonny Depp attorney who was an amazing lawyer, dressed well, spoke well, but she too was caught looking at her phone camera to make sure her lipstick wasn’t smudge and her hair in place. Again there were some awful disrespectful comments about her ) why is it women have to work as hard if not harder to prove themselves and be able to rightfully earn these positions and when they have put in the hours, done the job equal to their male counterparts they get slated. ( we all know the types of comments…. She slept her way there, she’s used her looks) isn’t it about time this stopped. I’ve actually seen men state “this is what happens given a woman a place in power, it’s so very wrong, woman have always been capable it’s just for many years they weren’t given the opportunities to progress. Do people really feel that threatened by a hard working woman.
    Just because she is a woman who takes care of her appearance and so she should she is a judge and young judge at that, but she didn’t stand a chance with some people. It started day one, first hour. Since then it’s got worse. Every delay is her fault regardless that it maybe the defence, prosecutors, Cruz delayed arriving or even a jury member, it’s not always i her control. On top of this she gets objects raised that she has to deal with out of the court. I doubt this is the only trial she is sitting on.
    She is obviously knowledgeable and earned her position. Yes it may also be her first televised, her first death penalty, it’s certainly her biggest case. I’m sure there will be nerves regardless whether they be male or female. Before those say well she shouldn’t have got it in the first place, all judges have to start somewhere. This certainly is her first trial she has experience but it’s probably the largest as I said.
    The defence have also been way out of line, as I said it’s their job to get the best result for their client. Yes the judge could have spoken to her in private, but they have done everything to create delays, the defence lead has huffed, puffed thrown papers down in anger when not getting the objection they wanted.
    They have pushed and pushed I’m sure any judge would have eventually lost it, I’ve seen some judges with years of experience losing when lawyers pull stunts. However to create what they did when the prosecution raised issues on witnesses they now didn’t want to call who have been booked for months. Meaning this was the first time of hearing it which also meant they needed time to regroup. Only then after all that arguing the defence state they are resting.
    The judge has spoken to them all on numerous occasions about the behaviour and tardiness etc this was the final straw.

    Just for discussion - I find myself becoming more and more convinced that the death penalty is any kind of deterrent in cases like this. It seems, on several occasions that their death is the ultimate goal for people who carry out such shootings. They seem more like suicides, going out in a blaze of glory.
    If that is the case, then surely a death sentence would simply cue the next, unstable teenager to follow the same course of action. Could it be the case that the punishment itself is fuelling the behaviour?
    Its uncomfortable to think upon that.

      I do agree with the thinking that they do want to "go down in a blaze of glory". I think they imagine that they will be remembered by the whole world forever. • @bigbootyhunta
      @bigbootyhunta Год назад +7

      No, the punishment isn't fuelling the behaviour. If your view was the case the defendant and his lawyers would not be trying everything possible to avoid the death penalty. He would simply have instructed his lawyers not to put on a defense to the death penalty and he would have been sitting on death row months ago when he made his guilty plea.
