This Defense Team has not liked anything in this Case since the beginning starting with the Jurors getting to visit the School Crime Scene where Jurors got to see blood stains that wasn't cleaned up ( the scene has been protected) to the charges and it will continue on even after this trial. I'm glad the Judge did not recuse herself and I'm sure their will be appeals by the Defense for it to be looked into. Defense has to do everything they can even if their client admitted to both this Mass Murder Of The 17 School Kids and 3 Adults and the wounding of those that survived his heinous attack. Prayers to the Families of those 17 and the 3 Adults and to those wounded and to those other students and friends and loved ones of those deceased by the hands and decision of Nicholas Cruz. Maybe this Defense Team needs to look into (1) person on their Team and see how she acted and performed throughout this trial; she was very demeaning to Prosecution and the Judge and the Victims in the gallery. She is a very poor loser and enjoys blaming others for her lack of professionalism. Defense got caught opening a door, they pulled that stunt and caught in what they wanted so now the Prosecution has a right to use that opening.

Level. If we are going to kill someone knowingly and with premeditation, then let’s just make sure it’s legal first. Just because he is what he is, that doesn’t mean we become animals.

I don't understand why the defense should be able to object to information or evidence being presented to the jury on the basis of the fact that it is overly prejudicial......aren't you in essence just saying we object to this evidence because it makes our client, who already pleaded guilty look VERY guilty???? That's ridiculous...... Why is objection on the basis of the evidence being overly prejudicial even allowed.....As far as the Department of Education records containing swastikas are concerned, I think the defense is being disingenuous when they claim that they made a rushed decision to admit all of the records because they thought it would be better to admit all of the records in the absence of a pretrial ruling on the swastikas than to mislead the jury.......The main agenda of the defense was to mislead the jury because they were essentially asking in that pretrial motion that the evidence be tampered with altered and redacted so as to not show the swastikas which were originally present in some of the documents.......How is asking for this to be done not misleading the jury??? Judge Scherer denied the defense's request to omit the swastikas because the swastikas were no more inflammatory than the N words written on the documents or the misogynistic language against women.....The judge was confused as to why the defense was only concerned about the impact the swastikas would have on the jury and not the other symbols of hatred......which is a fair point.......The defense knew that swastikas were present on the defendants gun, backpack and other materials and COULD HAVE questioned perspective jurors about attitudes regarding this symbol but chose NOT to do so......It is baffling to me that the defense would submit evidence that would be prejudicial to their own client and then complain that the judge didn't alter it to make it less prejudicial...........If you are concerned about the evidence inflaming the jury against your client why advocate for that evidence to be used in any part of your case, even on a limited basis.......
