johnj189 thank you sir John J the 189th
Thank you
thank you
You are my hero
RideByNight Thankyou lol.
Insta love for focusing on us budget riders 😁
I have the airmada, only thing I don't like about it is it's very very hard to remove the padding to speak it or to set up wiring for a sena or any other wiring you may have in your helmet. Also replacement visors are a bit expensive, however it is a very comfortable helmet, has very good airflow, and I love how the hinges for the visor have plates over them that continue the design of the helmet onto them to hide the hinges
Great review thanks! Pin lock isn't new but I have never seen anything like it. I never have to crack open the visor to clear up the visor. Even in 20 degree day at a stoplight breathing heavily into it. Nothing is better
I swear Anthony's intro gets faster every year. I would like to add the Scorpion Exo r710. Most of the same features as the Shoei RF-1200, only marginally heavier, and less than half the cost. I've had it for about 3-4 months and it's awesome.
Thanks for the vid, huge help!
I wish Bell would design the qualifier a little cooler and get rid of the obnoxious symbol on the front. Very comfortable helmet and light
My 4 yr old wonders if you're wearing pants
Doubt it
How I wish icon could make airmadas for round heads. The chantallys look awesome especially in black
I've had the Alliance for 3 years, great budget can!
I think one of the things I would appreciate knowing more about is how safe these lids are and how much we are risking by not buying more expensive helmets. The calculus is a bit complex. Some help is needed here, like a "hammer test" or a "crash-test simulation" or something of the sort that would help us beyond the comfort features. Of course, these are also important, but the Bell Qualifier goes for 120$, whereas I can also spend over a 1000$ on a helmet - how much of that is comfort and how much is safety? If you already have a document or a video on this topic, thanks for referring me/us.
Comment on the HJC FG-17--I bought it for that Snell Rating about 4-5 years ago and also because it fit so well. It's very light and I got in a wreck about a year ago with no head trauma sustained whatsoever.
I still wear it to this day, though I know I shouldn't. Highly recommend it.
InvictvsNox thanks man. this just sold me to it. looking for my first helmet. was thinking about the rpha 11 but that ones a little more price
I'm in the same boat. I'd look to the RPHA 10, but I'm looking for something that will fit my GoPro setup a little better. Enjoy the ride!
hopefully you did get the FG-17.i too got this helmet about 1 or 2 years ago, mainly because it was snell approved and ive also have had no issues with this helmet.it could be a little noisy tho but cheap earplugs fix that issue. also this helmet could fit a gopro in the front as opposed to side or top of helmet(i dont really like that look).
Bell and Icon helmets shown failed Sharp side impact testing miserably. The HJC and AGV did much better. I get that Sharp isn't the final word on motorcycle helmet testing but I'd definitely feel much safer knowing my helmet can help keep me safe in a side impact. The Bell and Icons will not...the HJC and AGV will. The Airmada also didn't do so hot on the frontal test. Guessing perhaps that brow vent is a weak point on it.
Side note-I was also surprised to see the HJC RPHA-11, a so-called higher tier helmet, also failed its side impact tests.
Also...to be fair, many much more expensive Shoei and Arai helmets also did poorly in side impact testing.
Can you do a video where you see what full face helmets have the best amount of vision/ fov
Airmada Chantilly, like on the table, but in Rubbatone looks bad ass. Bought mine from you guys years ago and still run it
I would benefit from an updated 2019 version of this video.
How about a 2021 version ?
I'm surprised you didn't include Scorpion's SNELL rated helmets here...
he has been wearing this t shirt for the past few years...buy some stuff from him so he can buy a new shirt
Al P Onnu poyeda myre
Al P For real man,you could go back 1k videos and he'll still be wearing this shirt
That's a new one. It's not as faded. I hear he bought a shipping container full of that one particular shirt.
wrong hes been wearing the same shirt since 2012
It's an awesome trademark!
Which one do you recommend..A Bell qualifier or a HJC CL 17..Thankyou
Just came to watch the intro...
HeythisisAnthonydfgacfadnkfcsdfRevzillayouwatch *DECIDE* andride.....
Cheers!
It's an impressive delivery.
Of course you post his after I got my helmet already...
Did your bucket make the list? :D
actually it did! I have the Icon Alliance Dark. So I guess it paid off
There word isn't end all be all though. :) I was thinking of the agv k3 but found a helmet same price that has a better drop down visor and other features I prefer so I went with that one. Got a S&S ss1600 cruise missile. The graphics are so beautiful and it has some great features I'm much happier with
I also got myself HJC is-17, safest helmet out there, altho a bit noisy, but witch one isnt...
Gixxer983 I'm going to look into this helmet, thanks.
maybe you can try kyt vendetta 2/ falcon
it has many features and it price below $80
I'm a little bit worried bc the airmada only has 2 stars on the SHARP website.
You guys should do a video for all motorcycle gear, helmets, jackets, pants, boots, gloves
Do you have a video on round oval shaped helmets for us bobbleheads?
What about the Speed and Strength SS1600? I've been really eyeing that one for a while but if any of these are better I might as well get something like an AGV or Bell.
The SS1600 is also a pretty good helmet, so I would still consider it. -DrewZilla
How come the scorpion exor420 is not included? It got snell and dot yet only 149
I wished that all the manufacturers would make liners for different shaped heads. I mean, I really REALLY want that ICON Airmada, but my head is not long oval. Would have been great if ICON had an option to offer inner liners for intermediate oval shaped heads.
You have to step up to the Icon Airframe Pro to get a modular liner system that accommodates differently-shaped heads. -DrewZilla
*www.revzilla.com/icon-airframe-pro-helmets
I got a Fly. Like it so far. Got it from RevZilla
The Airmada almost had to be cut off my head at the dealership because it is sooo narrow, not a good fit for my head at all, not a bad looking helmet but that's about it for me personally.
how about 3 quarter to full face helmets
Thanks for the video.
Which is suited for a upright riding position? Airflow? Speaker cut outs for communications?
All are suited to upright riding, but only the Bell Qualifier, HJC FG-17, and AGV K3 SV have cutouts for speakers. All have pretty similar airflow, though the Icon Alliance seems to have the least airflow of the bunch. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla I want to go full face. I've always worn 3/4 or 1/2 helmets with goggles. I'm looking for one with vents that dont allow so much air that they will dry out my contacts while riding, yet still cool me off a bit.
If I had a choice I'd go with the AGV or Bell, but I'm old school so I do favor that which I trust.
People need to understand. Helmet is the single most important thing you buy besides the bike. Spend money on it. Some of these would be okay for awhile..but save up and buy a fiberglass helmet that has different impact breaking points. I got in a very bad accident and my Shoei saved my life.
I switeched to an hjc is-17, coming from an old scorpion exo400 and I CANNOT be more unhappy, the thing just want to fog in your face, I bought the chin cover thinking it may help for the wind and noise but no , also it changing color in sun after no more then 6000miles
Which ones are best for upright position?
They are all appropriate for an upright riding position, though the HJC is maybe slightly better than the others. -DrewZilla

Can you do a user guide for tall people or one of these vids for riding pants that have the longest lengths. I am having a hard time finding riding jeans that are 34", or even 36" which I doubt is made.
Something like this (www.revzilla.com/common-tread/how-to-buy-big-and-tall-motorcycle-gear)? It's mostly for jackets though. For 34 and 36 inch length inseam jeans, see the following (rvz.la/2vfyhjV). -DrewZilla
cpuspeed I wear a 36W34L and got the Icon Hooligan jeans. They came long, I would estimate they were 36" length. I had to take them to a alterations lady to get them hemmed up. Try those man, they're comfortable and light, even though they're Kevlar and they come with removable kneepads. They're also super low profile and just look like regular jeans.
No LS2 Pioneer as dual sport helmet?
We didn't include dual sport helmets in this grouping, but the Pioneer is a great, affordable option. -DrewZilla
No Scorpion???
Which one should I buy rpha 11 or agv k3 sv?
Sharp test shows hjc with 3/5 safety score
Agv k3sv has 4/5
Help me decide guys
Unless you really want the extra ventilation of the RPHA 11 (and it's louder), then I would say go with the K3 SV. -DrewZilla
Who makes a great all carbon fiber helmet?
AGV, Bell, Nexx, and HJC. -DrewZilla

Could I use an Airmada Helmet as a standard bike helmet?
Yes, the Airmada works on just about any bike. -DrewZilla
Any good suggestions for a big round head?
It depends how big and how round. We recommend you take your head measurement around the crown of your head with a cloth tape measure. Then use the size chart on any helmet product page. I've linked our selection of round oval helmets below. -DrewZilla

I have an '88 Super Magna and I don't want to lose my face wearing a three quarter or brain bucket, would the Alliance be the best choice for my upright riding position?
Ferrinflame any of these helmets will be fine for an upright riding position. I have the airmada and my first bike was a 2007 ninja 250, riding position was very upright and the helmet was perfect. I now have a 2008 zx6r and it's still perfect for the more aggressive angle. All in all I'd say best helmet on the table is the airmada, great airflow, locking visor, pretty lightweight, inside is very comfortable, and you can get some very cool designs on them
As others have mentioned, you'd be fine with most any of the helmets in this group. -DrewZilla
Why not the FG-ST?
That helmet isn't sold here in the US. -DrewZilla
Why do I always feel like I'm at an auction when Anthony does a review?
cualifier but no exo r-410? definitely something wrong with this list...
pls hlp me is any agv helmets under 20000 INR i want spoiler on the back like pista gp r pls hlp me
The K3 SV is the closest thing under your maximum price from AGV. -DrewZilla
Got an airmada medium. Too tight, never broke in. Tried airmada large, too big. Got an alliance large. Too big. Got an icon airflite large, too big.
Tired on a bell qualifier today, medium. Felt perfect. Going to order the gloss black tomorrow to go with my new motorcycle.
Info above for anyone with an odd shaped head like me lol. Happy hunting.
You actually have an intermediate oval head shape it seems, the most common head shape. The Icon helmets tend to be long/narrow oval, so it's not surprising they didn't fit. -DrewZilla
what about the Scorpion R410?
Or the 510 and 710
The EXO-R410 is also a great helmet, especially if you wear glasses. -DrewZilla
Got one for $100. Best bang for the buck!
RevZilla what do u think about the iCon Alliance if I wear glasses?
Why dont you guys talk about the bluetooth comm compatability of each helmet?
All five of the helmets featured in this video can accept Bluetooth communicators. -DrewZilla
The Bell Qualifier is the loudest helmet I have ever owned. So much wind noise. Save your money and buy something nicer
Earplugs are like $5...
Max Good to know.
Im thinking of going for the Bell Qualifier transition but alot of people has been complaining about the noise. Idk what to get other than the Qualifier. I want a helmet with transition T_T
What About the Scorpion Exo-R410?
The EXO-R410 is also a great helmet. -DrewZilla
what about the LS2?
The LS2 Citation is a great option if you have a long oval head shape and want a helmet with an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla

Do a best modular helmet under 250 / 300
I'd go with the Scorpion EXO-GT920 and HJC IS-Max 2. -DrewZilla

@RevZilla I'm torn between the HJC Fg-17 and Scorpion EXO-r710.
Both offer similar fiberglass construction, both are Snell-rated, and both have an intermediate oval fit, so I'd go based on price or whichever paint scheme you prefer. -DrewZilla
@RevZilla Why did Anthony choose the Airmada out of those helmets? Its a polycarbonate shell.
Usually fiberglass is lighter, but the Airmada is actually quite light for a polycarbonate helmet. The Airmada is also made in 4 shell sizes, so it's a really compact helmet for each helmet size. It's also an affordable option for those with a narrow/long oval head shape. -DrewZilla
@DrewZilla Would you pick the LS2 ff397 Vector ($190), Scorpion EXO 710 Air Knight ($230) or the Bell Qualifier DLX ($290)? Prices are based on my local dealers. I talked to one of the Gear Geeks at RevZ he said the LS2 has a shitty interior.
I'd go with the Scorpion for its nicer interior. -DrewZilla
People with small heads must have it easy i have trouble finding 66-67cm helments
wtf did he even say at the beginning ? , and there I was thinking my turrets was bad 🤣
K3 SV reppin
R u guys ever planning to do a 'touring' helmet review..... I mean like ever??!! U guys came up with the last one like 4 years ago!!
We might revisit that, but we shifted to including multiple helmet types in our annual helmet gear guides. So take a look at the Schuberth C4, C3 Pro, Shoei Neotec, GT-Air, RF-1200, Arai Quantum-X, and Scorpion EXO-GT920. -DrewZilla

Ls2 arrow?
The Arrow is a good option if you have a long oval head shape. -DrewZilla
what about MT helmets?
We're a US-based dealer, and MT helmets aren't really offered here, so we cannot speak to their quality. -DrewZilla
SCORPION!!!!!!!
Y didn't u add airoh valar ?
We do not carry Airoh products at this time. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks in customer service! - Pat
I've been wearing glasses for 14 years, I can't ride without them, I'm like a blind bird, any helmets that will fit good for people like me??
Absolutely! Arai, Shoei, Shark, and Scorpion are the best for glasses. -DrewZilla
RevZilla Thanks a bunch, will be sure to grab one of those on my next paycheck ; )
Why are they all oval headshape
Most of the market has an intermediate oval head shape, so most helmets are designed to fit that majority. For long oval or round oval options, please see the links below. -DrewZilla
*www.revzilla.com/long-oval-motorcycle-helmets
*www.revzilla.com/round-oval-motorcycle-helmets
Bear in mind the Airmada has a 2 star SHARP rating, which is one of the lowest safety ratings I've seen on that site from a somewhat mainstream manufacturer. Since helmets are there to keep us safe, I would recommend avoiding the Airmada.
Thank you for that info
No Airoh there?
Airoh isn't distributed here in the United States. -DrewZilla
I wish Icon would consider riders with glasses. They fit so well except they push my spectacles up to my eyebrows.
i want one helmet
when it takes 2 whole minutes for him to start talking about the helmets
5 years my ass :D Im not that rich. 9 years here...still rolling. Not gonna throw a helmet cuz they say it have some date of expiring but that was never tested
Nice video. How about a under 200 modular helmet video next?
Anthony talks fast at the intro
Hey, thisadkjgf;afiuaq;erg;aefb;kgjba;rg;iauertfg decide and ride!
Is it possible that these helmets may be broke !?
Broken? No, we only sell new helmets. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla I mean, could it be damaged when an accident !?
That last helmet's sun visor is rubbish. You can see it is nowhere near dim enough to be useful. It also doesn't come down low enough and the entire visor view port is pitifully small. Wouldn't want to ride in that.
plz recomend a gud helmet for 100$
These two helmets are on closeout sale for $100, down from $200. -DrewZilla

would the icon airmada look weird on a guys head ? because it looks like its made for women but the graphic is still awesome :D
Thomas Grun I have the Chantilly in black. I think the white might be seen on a few women but the lace pattern makes skulls so go for it!
Thomas Grun I ride a white Chantilly, get nothing but complements. Personally think it is unisex, not too feminine or masculine. So like me if you like it just do it!
Like most helmets, the Airmada is a unisex helmet. It's appropriate for both men and women. -DrewZilla
I never wore a helmet in my life what's the breathing like, it seems like you have to breathe hard.
Not really, you just breathe normally. -DrewZilla

Wtf is up with that intro??
This guy gives me a headache sometimes
what about the scorpion exo r410?
The EXO-R410 is also a great helmet, especially if you wear glasses. -DrewZilla
RevZilla why is it great for glasses? I just put a return for the exo420 . My glasses don’t work in those.
Too old.
this guy talks weird
