    I would like to hear information on noise level of each helmet. What I head from other reviewers Bell bullit is horrible on high speed due to noise and whistles. So ,if to know this important information , may be half of the table will be presented

    Really great upgrades on the presentation on your products! Very thorough, detailed, and generally helpful. Thank you!

    I tend to prefer simpler helmet designs so love the Biltwell and for me, it's the best looking here. Appreciate they are not to this safety standard but I have the Bullitt and the X3000 - really only use the latter as the former tries to rip my ears off when removing despite it fitting perfectly otherwise. HJC looks like a nice lid too. Your sizing guides are very useful. Cheers

      Not sure why the HJC V10’s in the US appear to only be DOT certified. The ones sold overseas look to all have ECE 22.06.

      Agreed, unfortunately my HJC doesnt like my head. I had a can 2 sizes up to fit, but that left to much space in other area's. Shoei was a direct hit, so I need to fit before buy again next time.

    Can't go wrong with HJC. Have had half a dozen over the years and they all have been easy, decent fitting with good features. Ive run more premium lids but never thought they were that much better.

      Agreed. I just ordered a Glamster from a company in Italy to ship to the US. Of course it won't be legal here because it doesn't technically meet DOT standards. Which is just laughable considering ECE 22.06 is just so much more of an advanced safety certification in every way. A paper hat could pass DOT.

    I'd go hjc in a heartbeat also it seems to have rear exit vents so it's perfect on paper shame the colours / graphics aren't so nice. And I'd much rather have a drop down sun visor instead of having to deal with all that changing visors when it's sunny faff

  • @starsturncold
    @starsturncold 8 месяцев назад

    On the hjc, am I seeing it right where some models do in fact have exit vents around the bottom of the helmet on the back? Looks like some have it, some do not. There’s also a 30 dollar or so price difference.
    I love the look of the V10.

    Like the presentation. One thing though: why is so hard to find out how much a standard size (like a large) weighs, for comparison? Lightness in a helmet is key, and that would seem to be a key statistic to report for consideration. Thanks for the good work.

    Wish the Arai had a covered visor mechanism like on their other models, it would look really sleek. Also a longer chin bar would look cool but that’s just aesthetic preference.

    I bought the Arai Rapide to go touring this year. I walked away from a crash with no head injuries, but I'm still not sure I'll buy it again:
    It's loud as shit at highway speeds! Thankfully I was mostly touring in SE Asia where the speeds are slower, but even -25dB earplugs aren't enough to make it comfortable above 70mph.
    It whistles at city speeds if you ride with the shield open. The Rapide was my first Arai helmet, but this seems to be a bug in the round Arai shape. You'll notice complaints about whistling in the comments sections of the Quantic and its visor too.

      If you want the Retro look. I believe the Gringo is the more Compact. But if you just want a Smaller, lightweight, helmet with great wind noise reduction for its size and weight...
      An AGV K6 cannot be beat. But it is NOT a Retro Look.
      Just an Extremely compact and lightweight helmet
