When riding a motorcycle you need to concentrate and keep your eyes on the road - it could make the difference between ending up in a wheel chair. If you really want lots of gadgets to stay safe just get a car. Yup. LIGHTS and Stuff to make you VISIBLE are Definitely THE most important thing. I got into a bike accident over 30 years ago from an idiot unlicensed driver taking daddies car out for a joyride and blew through a stop sign at 40mph. Still have back muscle cramps from it to this day despite working out, stretching, massage therapy, etc. As a drive I've seen how small bikes are even when close. Today I ride my Ebike and I have six headlights, two tail lights with one fast flasher on and numerous large pieces of reflective tape on the front forks, rear and side frames of my ebike., I wear a DayGlo reflective vest, helmet and gloves and I hit the horn for everything and of course ALWAYS ASSUME a driver does NOT see you. Hell I've had drivers coming right at me even while flashing my high beam right at then and hitting my Loud 120DB motorcycle 12v Horn I adapted for my ebike and STILL they barely swerved 7 feet from me. People are just MENTALLY looking for BIG objects like Cars and even with Dayglo stuff, Bright LED lights, etc... you still have to constantly watch out.. though I've found that people overall now give me a WIDE birth when I'm passing. In fact many are Afraid to pass me even when I'm hugging the curb on my bike until I Wave them past. If I ever get another Motorcycle I'd jazz it up the Same way with MORE lights, Reflective tape all over and wear my Dayglo colors, Body armor etc.. If I had Armor back in the day My Back would be fine right now.
That’s what they say in most cases. If more motorcyclist were aware of the fact that most of us are struck by cars that are turning left, we might prevent some accidents by riding cautiously through intersections. I see so many of my fellow motorcyclist that ride obliviously through intersections or do not pay attention to cars at t-intersections. Ride safe my friends.
Unfortunately many of the items listed (HUD, cameras, helmets, boots) are not available or have a poor quality rating. The Garmin Zumo, from past experience, is great, though. Not sure if I can find the motorcycle stands to fit my bikes
Do yourself a favor fellow bikers, take it from a guy who toured Europe with a Garmin and a TomTom, the TomTom is by far a superior and more accurate GPS.
So motorcycles are always going to be more dangerous. There is nothing that can be done about that. I just think it's cool to see technology advancing. This guy was getting a lot of hate from people in the comments, I just wanted to help his day. :) There is some tech like abs and things that helps with motorcycles. Have a great day

If you have to deploy your airbag jacket numerous times ---- you better sell the motorcycle or go to a proper certified motorcycle safety school : ) The stem mount for a phone is dangerous. The time you spend looking down at a phone can be long enough for you to crash into something. Plan your route and put the phone away in your backpack.
@@Robin-ox2mz think about it instead of lifting the heavy bike and put it in the van they use this. Also there are a lot of people who own bikes think by locking the front fork prevents theft 😆
@@kings8217 oh yeah its a good tool for thieves too, for sure. Nothing can protect your bike if the thief has enough time, no matter how secure it is. Just locking front is bypassed in seconds, no need for a van a simple tool is enough.
I was thinking the same thing :). Still, they are great for moving your bike in your garage. A baseball bat is great for smashing someone's skull in, but they're also great for playing baseball.
Not so, it requires a pretty stiff pull. I own the Turtle II vest by Helite (£450), and I've forgotten the tether a few times, never had it go off. I tested it (cost me £25 for the new air cannister) with a strong pull and it went off perfectly, it is a fantastic piece of kit and I recommend one for every rider.
If you hardwire the camera to the battery it isn't going to turn on and off with your ignition. It will actually stay on. You'd have to splice it in to the ignition in the harness to get it to come on with the key.
I would not splice into the ignition. Bad idea. Mess that wire you're in trouble. Instead use a powered relay and tap into the rear break light power wire, so when the bike powers the light (aka ON) then the device is powered.
In terms of safety features, having a "dash" cam and airbag is great! But they are expensive. If you can afford it, maybe think about getting one. Stay safe!
The jury is out for me on an airbag. I have been riding since the early 80's crashed many times (enough to loose count). At least 3 times over 100 mph (on a racetrack). No such thing as an air bag back then, pretty thin 2nd or maybe 3rd hand Bates leathers with no armor for the first crash. And for the second another thin set of Vanson leathers. The crashes consumed those thin leathers but not my skin! And the for the third fast crash a much thicker set of Z Custom leathers with armor and a back protector for the third. I have also had numerous street crashes including being rear ended on the freeway at 55 MPH (wearing jeans and a nylon jacket, not even a scratch . . a miracle . . actually I think I surfed the bike for a bit and rolled out of it to stop on my feet). They say off-road is safer . . guess again . . no rules out there, in the dirt I had a head on collision (me on a 2000 CR250) with a VW dune buggy both going 45 mph at impact. . . . Ouch! but no broken bones ever. But I can say with the back protector on the 100 mph crash, and this is the original Dainese protector, so anything on the market now is better than that. With that protector it was downright comfy sliding along up and over turn 6 at Willow Springs. I have never been injured in the area that the airbag covers . . . except maybe with the head-on with the dune buggy it would have worked nice there. . . but so did the cheapest chest-back-roost protector from cyclegear (nothing broken despite ejecting and flying 30 feet onto my head / back . . u but it did hurt really bad!). Leather was enough for all my road crashes (std mx gear for the dirt crash). . . . That doesn't mean it can't happen a different way next time for me or completely different for you . . . but once I'm on the ground I have my techniques and tendencies so I am willing to take that risk with the equipment I have since it has served me well and has been fully tested. I have hit my head hard enough to see static and have demolished numerous sets of gloves so I tend to make sure those bases are covered with the best I can get my hands on. That and protect your extremities that can flail around and slap the ground hard . . .hands, knees, elbows and feet . . . at least that's what gets torn up on me nearly every time I crash . . No airbag helmet, gloves, knee, elbow or ankle protection yet. . . . which is why the jury is out for me.
Great video showing all sorts of gadgets for your bike if that’s your thing, I run the Garmin Zumo on my Super Tenere. It also has the tyre pressure monitor function in it but you do have to buy the sensors separately. Just a point of interest, if you hard wire your camera directly to the battery as indicated in the video it won’t turn on and off with the ignition. Thanks for showing what’s out there.
Hi , I find the Garmin system works no matter where I am so long as it can register the satellite network (so long as I’m not under metal roofs) also it has my topographical map card in it. Cheers.
Ban all these gizmo's especially sat- nav, music, even intercom...you need every ounce of concentration to ride a bike these days to avoid the selfish idiots on the roads....one spit second of using these 'accessories" could find you serious trouble ... Sat-nav...buy a map, plan a route, stop and check if necessary, Music..the engines the music, how can you hear a problem with music blaring in your ears....Intercom...talk to her / him when you get off for a break.... I know I'll get slatted for this, but I'm still riding after 55 years without any of this crap....
Wont slate u for it. To each their own really. But arguably a satnav with bluetooth audio in the helmet is safer then a map. U wont have to look down at the map on your tank, u just get a message in your helmet to turn right/left. And even if u look at the satnav u instantly know where u are instead of having to look for it.
Sorry Quantron. Your idea does NOT hold any water. If you look at your map before you put it in 1st gear, and understand the route, there is NO need for GPS/SAT/NAV. I've ridden all over the U.S. without GPS/SAT/NAV, and never looked at a map while riding, and never got lost. B sides, you are on a motorcycle. If you require all of this technology, may I suggest something with 4 wheels.

It also adds upwards of 200g to your helmet, with the bulk being at the back making it both straining and uncomfortable.
The more people buy, the less it'll cost. Production cost to demand usually drives the price up or down. So buy one, and have all your friends buy one, so one day I can get it for less. Lol
@@MrKinghuman yeah, it’s going to need another planet to pump demand up enough to drop the price via scaling. Chances are any spikes in demand will result in raised prices for the foreseeable future
@@MrKinghuman yea. I don’t think cost to demand works like that. As long as people are willing to pay top dollar, companies won’t lower their price.

A lot of the safety stuff is good, telling the drivers around you what’s going on, I’m all for that
How about simply turn your head and use mirrors?
I like the HUD ! Thanks for making this video
It’s one of those “robot marketing” videos.
That helmet at the end is a must have. If you want to barrel down the motorway at 150mph feeling like iron man that’s the one for you 😂
The airbag is intimidating. I like to puff up while squaring off for a good bar fight.
Have ridden for 40 plus years and never NEEDED one of these
I bought the Fobo bike 2 based on the recommendations from this video. It runs about $100.00 U.S. dollars and it was fairly easy to install.
I love the fact that I no longer have to search for or remove my saddlebag on my Road King to access the valve stem.
The only down side is at 4:50 in the video I wish the picture of the bike with the PSI values was the actual picture of my bike and not that blue sport bike.
What's the battery life of the gizmos?
@@ctrlaltdelete200390
Well this comment is 9 months old and it's still going.
I'm guessing it has the same battery life as a watch battery since that's what it takes.
I bought Fobo bike 2 because of this video too. I agree with you. Wish I could customize it a bit more. Realized early on that I need to logout each time I stop riding because the program runs constantly in the background and is a drain on my cellphone battery. It's super convenient to check tire pressures. Never need to remove the stem caps. Just login on my phone and stand near my bike. Instant pressure readings. :-)
I bought cheap aliexpress things that were similar. Invaluable. Long battery life. Life on the commute got way easier. No more air leakage catching you off guard.
@@michiganborn8303 Well maybe stupid question. But doesnt it disbalance your wheel because of its "weight"? After all, ordinary cups weight nothing.
I like the airbag jacket. That’s neat.
When riding a motorcycle you need to concentrate and keep your eyes on the road - it could make the difference between ending up in a wheel chair. If you really want lots of gadgets to stay safe just get a car. Re accessories - I got some heated gloves because I live in a cold climate and cold hands most definitely take the pleasure out of the ride - safe biking everyone!!
Hello.Thank you for your work.Good luck on the roads.
In France, 80% of car drivers that hit a motorcycle told the police that they "didn't see the bike"... an excellent reason to add a light or two to your helmet 😁😁😁

I always ride with my high beam on, day or night
great sharing dude👍🏻
Unfortunately many of the items listed (HUD, cameras, helmets, boots) are not available or have a poor quality rating. The Garmin Zumo, from past experience, is great, though. Not sure if I can find the motorcycle stands to fit my bikes

Always fist bump your buddies after you ride up to a cliff edge together.
Do yourself a favor fellow bikers, take it from a guy who toured Europe with a Garmin and a TomTom, the TomTom is by far a superior and more accurate GPS.
this is very cool... Mahalo from Honolulu!!
If these were must have accessories, they could have shown at least one rider using all these together !!
Please don't encourage these people anymore than necessary. They just do it to get attention and brag about all this expensive tech they have.

If you hit a post at 50mph, ain't no airbag jacket gonna stop your spine shattering. This whole video wasn't made by someone who rides bikes.
Lol I was thinking the girl on the bike at the start, was the accessory! 🤣🤣🤣
The first one is really cool
The air bag jacket and livell smart helmet are the only two truly useful ones I saw.
legs and arms need more protection than torso most bike injuries are to limbs
Good info 👍
In India, the most important accessory of Bike is having a horn.

Cool gadgets . I will look into getting some of these items 😮
I appreciate the content. Cool to see the steps tech is making to make motorcycles safer.
So which accessory, in the video, exactly makes a motorcycle safer???
So motorcycles are always going to be more dangerous. There is nothing that can be done about that. I just think it's cool to see technology advancing. This guy was getting a lot of hate from people in the comments, I just wanted to help his day. :) There is some tech like abs and things that helps with motorcycles. Have a great day

Impressed with these ideas and gadgets. The livall helmet topped it for this video! 👍
If you have to deploy your airbag jacket numerous times ---- you better sell the motorcycle or go to a proper certified motorcycle safety school : )
The stem mount for a phone is dangerous. The time you spend looking down at a phone can be long enough for you to crash into something. Plan your route and put the phone away in your backpack.

Good thinking :o
You wouldn't use these in situations where theft is a possibility, they are really convenient to put your bike into a storage area with tight corners
@@Robin-ox2mz think about it instead of lifting the heavy bike and put it in the van they use this.
Also there are a lot of people who own bikes think by locking the front fork prevents theft 😆

Wow!! A $700 airbag jacket- I’ll probably get two- just in case.
Lol I’d get off my bike and set off the air bag every time I get off it 😂😂😂😂😩
Not so, it requires a pretty stiff pull. I own the Turtle II vest by Helite (£450), and I've forgotten the tether a few times, never had it go off. I tested it (cost me £25 for the new air cannister) with a strong pull and it went off perfectly, it is a fantastic piece of kit and I recommend one for every rider.
NICE VIDEO
If you hardwire the camera to the battery it isn't going to turn on and off with your ignition. It will actually stay on. You'd have to splice it in to the ignition in the harness to get it to come on with the key.
I would not splice into the ignition. Bad idea. Mess that wire you're in trouble.
Instead use a powered relay and tap into the rear break light power wire, so when the bike powers the light (aka ON) then the device is powered.
9:35 really amazes me
Can't wait for a helmet with built in HUD. Especially since we are already paying through the roof for standard lids.
Genuine question: Is a Garmin device better than using Google maps on a smartphone? If so, how?
Hi , I find the Garmin system works no matter where I am so long as it can register the satellite network (so long as I’m not under metal roofs) also it has my topographical map card in it. Cheers.
@@sn5953 Also if you lose the Garmin or get in an accident in the middle of nowhere you're not stranded!
Great list! 🙌🏼
The Brake Free Light is also a Must have at around $150.00 I am going to order one.
Totally agree, it seems the only thing missing these days is aircon and an ashtray.
If you can't multitask to safely use the extra's maybe it is you that should not be riding
The integrated light up shoes is a good idea however for sportbike riders
So cool motorcycle accessories
The scary part is that Dynamoto can be used to steal a bike 😭
Nice! But I don't have bike hahaha😂
Darn my boots are flat again. Why not just use brake lights and indicators that are already installed on the bike.
