    Grip hack: WD40. It will disperse moisture, but provide temporary lube for slipping the grip on. After a few minutes, it's good to go. Also, to get the grip off, use an air compressor with a short 1/4" copper tubing on the end of a nozzle. Insert it into the grip end or next to the switch housing and then the grip will puff up and easily slide right off.

    I've put a couple things in my bike jacket before, but an easier carry method is to keep a small drawstring bag in your pillion. They fold up flat but can act like a bookbag in an emergency.

    1) For laces I don't want too long I simply cut them, then use a shoe lace lock to tighten and loosen the strings
    2) I double knot the laces so they are shorter and less likely to come undone. Depends on how long the laces are to start with though.

    I'm getting 88 GW road ready an it came with floorboards an front/rear shifter. I'm finding tennis shoes are working much better for pedal control in tight area than my riding boots! Interesting! Next time in town I was thinking of looking at lower profile boots that can replace tennis shoes? You asked for hints, I needed plastic fairing repair, that I could reach from underside. Took hacksaw an cut several pieces from black ABS plastic pipe, placed ABS pieces in cover glass jar, covered pieces with lacquer thinner then covered with lid an let set over night. After stirring, an spread, ABS mixture hardens like rock. I should have used this mixture years ago!

    For the red bull hack, you have two options:
    1- Place the can inside the inner pocket of the jacket.
    2-insert the can good from your shoulder to one of the long sleeves of the jacket. For the fifth hack: use tree buckets, not two=soap water has to come off with clean water. And for the bonus hack, you can filter clean your dirty motor oil by draining the used engine lubricant in a container, then use a sponge inside a funnel to separate the burned metal friction residue.

    • @99hank97
      @99hank97 2 года назад

      Ahh but you forgot about,
      3- insert the can firmly into your rectum

    • @ali94hn
      @ali94hn Год назад +1

      Why three buckets? You use the soap bucket to get the dirt off, and then rinse the soap off with a hose... I've never heard of the "3 bucket method"... rubbing clean water on your paint will leave swirl marks as there's no lubrication (which soap provides)
      Please don't comment if you have no experience.

      @@ali94hn not experience he lacks it's a hose. Also, nobody said "rub" clean water, just rinse by squeezing it from the sponge, so don't be snarky eh, aint no need for attitude.

    I wear Helly Hansen Switchback hiking boots and leather pants, for the lace issue I just wear a pair of gators that slide down over the top of the boots, they cover the laces and offer great protection, beats trying to walk around in motocross boots.

    Btw. Automotive polish isn't ment for regular cleaning. It's supposed to be done once in a while(say if you got light scratches on your bike). It make the surface smooth and shiny and removes light scratches by removing a thin layer of paint.

    I use the tie down method you mentioned but with a little insurance. I drilled a hole at the ends of the rod for a pin to go through so on long trips I dont have to worry about anything coming loose. Also wrapped the rod with electrical tape.
