The black keys and jack white are the reason you have to bust the bank now, no one wanted those old pawn shop guitars and amps before them 😂😂
Jamie Hince as well!
I did laugh when they were deliberating about guitars and the fact that D.A uses so many different unique ones, while standing next to a dirty black Gretsch with a Filtertron and a P90 in it.
If Dan Aubach was going to pick a guitar from what was in that shot, it would have been that one.
Great that Andertons has the automatic pedal delivery hand installed now
Do the strokes by busting the bank
Gibson ES with P90's and a Gibson Les Paul Custom
Fender Hotrod Deville
TrueTone Jekyll & Hyde
EHX Soulfood
Strymon Flint (for Juicebox Guitar Solo)
EHX Tone Wicker Big Muff (for 12:51)
Boss CE1 (for 12:51)
Fender Albert Hammond Signature Stratocaster
Fender Hotrod Deville or Deluxe
TRex MudHoney
I always stroke when watching these videos. Sound Like By Busting the Nut
@Boggesh Zahim eww
Fender Strat more like have a stroke while busting in a bank
yesss
Sound like King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard! The album choice is yours XD
please no
Both of you guys must be fun at parties.
King Gizz are unreal (Don't know what they're on about), but they would be hard to do a video on because their sound changes with every album.
I'd just rather not listen to the Greta Van Fleet of "alt" genres.
I'm not doubting that they are skilled musicians but the fact that they're so indecisive as to their sound and continually make fairly lacklustre music really doesn't give me a reason to like them.
I think thats a great thing about them, that is that they don't just stick to one defining sound. It's not like they're selling out or trying to imitate like GVF, they just like trying different shit. By being a more diverse band, they have a little something for a lot more people. If you listen to "Eyes like the sky" then ITRN, you wouldn't think that they are the same band which isn't a bad thing, its just not very common.
Love how he engages the pedals to the rhythm at 9:26
You guys were hitting studio quality with little post processing... I love this series. The pitch effect with the thunderclaw was supreme. Mad respect.
Sound like Omar Rodríguez-López (Mars Volta) would be really interesting. Lots of pedals, unique riffs and tones.
just randomly move fingers as fast as possible and then end on a bent note with squirlly vibrato with an overdriven and echoed out tone. more importantly is the awkward and intense body gyrations to signify emotional intensity. top it off with some pseudo intellectual art school speak and your good to go
My life is brillant... my life is pure ...
This was awesome, The Black Keys was one of my first rock/alternative bands that I got into and is still one of my favourites
Guys you nailed it! Really enjoyed this a LOT! Perfect day for this to come up on my feed. Nice one team!
I've been waiting to see you guys use the thunderclaw forever! Loved that pedal ever since I saw Rob play it way way way back when.
Wish they used a Duessenberg instead of the Gretch but the tone is still almost spot-on
I was thinking Duessenberg, too. I'm surprised it didn't seem to cross their minds.
That's also what I thought.
Same! Also wished they used a hoof fuzz too, that's based off of Dan's green Russian muff.
Yep. This is exactly what I was thinking. If you’re busting the bank, freaking bust the bank!
Yeah, I also thought about Duesenberg (and Reverend, despite most of those not being quite as pricey). But the Gretsch sounded brilliant.
How about Alex Lifeson from Rush ? Great sounds, great guitars, amps, pedals...
sounds great! Love the tones you got.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard by busting the bank, would be awesome.
Loved this episode! The Black Keys areone of my favorite bands.
BTW Rabea, those pickups you were trying to figure out are DeArmonds. TV Jones makes repops of them called the T-Armonds.
Love these videos but you guys completely glossed over the best era of the black keys (thickfreakness and rubber factory)
Hey guys. Love the show and especially this episode. I have a Vox AC15 Creamback with an Epiphone Casino, paired with a Boss BD 2 and a Flashback Delay 1. Thanks for giving me some great ideas for sounds.
Amazing tones!
They used the Blue Gibson 335 on Arctic Monkeys BY busting
oh and they said they used the Gretsch G6118 on another by busting, does that mean Jack White BY busting?
Vinyl Scratch they did AM’s by busting?
Gretch was in Rival Sons. Out now.
@@anthonysclafani3963 yes they did, but they never got 12 string for Do I Wanna Know
Sound like Richie Blackmore plz, Deep Purple deserves a shout-out!
Wow. That was so good, amazing pedals!!! Picking up 2 of those gor sure, and that Gretsch, HELLO!!🤙🏽🏁
Petes cameo at 5:24 kills me everytime
Bon Jovi by and without!! Well Richie Sambora. Awesome Black Keys too. That Vox was amazing.
Those pickups you pointed out in the beginning look like what I have always known as DeArmond style pickups. I think they are mostly like strat/tele pickups but with larger magnets and each magnet is height adjustable via those two little screws. I think they are more or less just hotter Strat pickups. They sound fantastic and I always considered putting them in a guitar, but never have.
Sound like Death From Above 1979
Peter English I need this
Good luck finding a bass with his custom wound Kent Armstrong pickups aha.
Peter English heard them thanks to Quantum Break
I’ve been eyeing that guitar in smoke green for a few months now. It’s a beast.
Nice Fro Bro ! Great playing.
I was lucky enough to see The Black Keys in both Leicester & Nottingham in 2003. The Charlotte in Leicester (RIP) was a tiny pub & i have very fond memories of standing 6 foot away from them playing! Dan was playing a strat with the strap held on by gaffa tape! A few muff pedals, reverb & delay. Pat's drum kit was made from 2 or 3 different kits! But they sounded amazing! Don't go expensive & hi-tech cause it's not what these boys are or were ever about. Listen to their first 3 albums & you'll get the picture. That's why i think your ''Sound Like The Black Keys Without Busting The Bank'' sounds better and more accurate. It's a more true reflection of the band and their sound.
Such a similar tone, impressive
Yes! Thank you!
You could have fun doing a Raconteurs rig too
I love u guys!! If u could would u do a sounds like of BlackBerry Smoke?? They are a really awesome group. Charlie Star and Paul Jackson are the guitar players of the group. Mr Charlie Star is the lead singer and they both exchange lead parts. Awesome dual guitar jams. Thanks guys keep up the awesome work. Bea, best shredder in the world!!!
Rival sons by busting, then you can really play with fuzz!
Great video! glad you revisited this one
Lonely Boy - If you used a Boss PS6 like he actually does the dive would've been closer but the tone was right so this is a 4.5/5
Gold On The Ceiling - I'm not so sure on this one, the riff didn't sound quite right and it was more boxy, but the synth like riff was close so this is a 3/5
Eagle Birds - very close but it should've have a bit more bass i think, but it was fine to me so this i give a 4/5
Tighten Up - Personally the sound should've been more twangy but the effects were laid together perfectly, this i give a 4.5/5
Yaaaaaassssssss I have never wanted a sounds like more 😎
Sound like Lynryd Skynryd (70s era) without busting the bank. Great tones from that band, best classic rock tone of all time!
Unreal tones!
Sound like Cage The Elephant
Doesn’t even matter what it sounds like that is a sweet looking rig! Ben Logan & The Lo- Fi’s would rock that set up! Oh ya sounded right on too! Funny hearing it with bass, because I have all their albums as a duo.
There was a Green Russian Big Muff behind you guys at the pedal cabinet. The EQD Hoof was also based on Dan's Green Russian. Either might've would've got you even closer, but aside from that, the playing's where it's at.
SOUND LIKE ....CLUTCH!!!!
I think the "without" was more accurate, but this tone has to be one of my favorites of all of the videos you've done.
not really, the EHX Pitchfork didn't really work on that video
I have that Big Muff and I absolutely love it.
The sound of the ThunderClaw is epic. I want it.
Great videos and thank you for teaching me about gear
Sound Like Ghost, Primus or Megadeth Without Busting or Rush By Busting?
Great stuff Gents; thanks!
the guy handing out pedals in the shadows! amazing!!
So good!
SOUNDS AWESOME! :D
7:13 - Lonely Boy
9:15 - Gold on the Celing
11:49 - Eagle Birds
14:18 - Tighten Up
That spring reverb
Thought that said sound like the black peaks. I got very excited 🤠
Ain't no laws when you're thundering claws
When my favorite things combine, gear and whiteclaw memes
There are two sounds like that I would love you guys to do. Sound like Killswitch engage, and sound like periphery
Killswitch would be great!
Just when I was listening to them... Damn, good timing
That guitar is almost to bright even with all those pedals! Such a clean sound, what a beautiful guitar.
Prince
Prince
Prince
This is why I love the Headrush, you can dial up these awesome tones on demand, you just need lots of guitars....and it just so happens I have a Gretesh :)
Sound like Muse BY Busting the Bank. (Previous one was several years ago, without busting the bank).
he uses Manson guitars which andertons don't stock, some have sustainers, one with a floyd rose and one comes in a seven string variety tuned to Drop A for Supremacy so i think they should get a schecter with a floyd rose and sustainer as well as a seven string guitar for Supremacy
a Marshall JCM800 head and cab cos he has used marshalls, Vox and i think Diezel VH4's, and now he uses Axe FX and Kempers
for pedals let's go with the following:
EHX Holy Grail (for the intro to Knights of Cydonia)
Boss TR2 (for the intro to Knights of Cydonia)
Orange Fur Coat Octave Fuzz to replicate his fuzz factory cos andertons don't do ZVEX
EHX POG (for Plug In baby)
Digitech Whammy (for Reapers)
MXR Phase 90 (for Stockholm Syndrome's guitar solo)
Boss DD500
and for Chris get a Fender precision bass
maybe a Fender Rumble
an EHX Big Muff Bass and an auto wah pedal to get the hysteria bass tone
@@KeeperOfPoops Chris hasn't really used P types, a J would be closer. He used those for a long time. Also his tone is a nightmare to nail, an EHX and an auto wah would be a good place to start but a more expensive fuzz would be better, you'd benefit from some multiband distortion, a tube amp like an Ampeg and a Sansamp to add character.
nailed it FELLAS 👍🎸👍
I’m digging that p bass. That’s a sick color.
Deep Purple!! Amazing rock band and sounds are still relevant today!
If it's hot and swampy in the video room, then you gotta do Sounds Like Tab Benoit!
Don't know alot about this band, but, that Gretch with that effects rig sounded really amazing... The Cult by busting would be great, you can use the Falcon for that...
Awesome now here is one BOSTON! Todays Rockman how to get that sound??
Hell yeah! Thanks a ton :D
I want all of it. Thank you.
Awesome video as always, you should do a sound like Nightwish or Within Temptation with or without busting the bank
Who caught the I have a ps4 waiting for the ps5 to come out.
Brilliant Bea!!!
Love my fellow Akronites!!!
Literally the black keys without busting the bank was the first andertons vid I watched.
The Black Keys ❤️
sounds amazing but i think for the first time ever the without busting rig was a tiny bit closer :o
This is my Dream Rig!!
Sound like toska by agravating rob chapman🤣✌
I second this!
SLAYER by busting the bank
Great episode guys. Please do REM!
Two Door Cinema Club
Foals
Bloc Party
Catfish and the Bottlemen
PLEASE
I personally would’ve went with a different guitar but still a great sound. Dan also Uses a Marshall as of 2015 but the Vox is a great choice
Was really hoping they would use that PRS Studio or a vela. 🤔
I can't cope with Matt not saying "in this X journey to sound like..." it's not natural
The Gretsch Country Bumpkin lol 😂👌
So many great songs on the new album that you could have done
Sound like early Genesis (Steve Hackett & Mike Rutherford) without busting the bank
Busting makes me feel good.
How have you never done sounds like the cure!
Yes you beauty
HEY GUYS please do radiohead by busting soooooon !!!
@@notmyrealhandle sound like [insert literally any shoegaze/dreampop band here] is just a link to that video
I thought the big muff pi sounded more like the black keys than the thunderclaw
How about some “Sound Likes” using floor modelling gear like the GT-1000 or Helix, or Kemper Stage, etc, etc
They did use the Atomic AmpliFire on their sound like Deftones video. You should check that out :)
@@TheDoomedUser Thanks Nick, I will!
pleeeaaae do SOUND LIKE INTERPOL
The Ultimate Ultra Veratile Rig! Without busting the bank.
A rig you can play anythin with!
they did most versatile rig without busting the bank, give it a watch
@@KeeperOfPoops They already did? OMG! I missed that. By busting is too for most versatile, so this wouldn't be much fun.
Do a sound like Kings X by anything please
Death - symbolic or sound of perseverance. Chuck had such a unique sound.
Man....does sound gud
17:12
Haha-heeeeeeeh. Out of nowhere: "Sweaty ass crack".
Should do a sound like Siouxsie and the Banshees that'd be really interesting
Some very odd choices but it paid off for sure. Great job guys! Can we see both Tom Petty and REM at some point?
