I’ve been looking for a good set in neck, Japanese lawsuit era Les Paul but it seems like the secret is out about how great they can be because the prices have gone up.
I saw them back in September after having got the tickets for my older brother’s birthday and they put on a great show, I’ve been a huge fan of the Keys for a long time and Dan is one of my favourite modern guitarists. Such a great player and a hell of an awesome frontman as well, all three Black Keys Rig Rundowns are some of my absolute favourites to go back and watch
Love this. That a golden-era LP is now in Dan Auerbach's hands. Because it has so much more to give than the Marshall stack rut. I can't wait to hear what he does with this one. Feel the same about Red Eye getting into the hands of Jason Isbell. Stay out of the murder holes, fellas. Just keep moving up the beach and make Mr. Paul smile down from above.

I got to see them in September when they were in Chicago and it was the coolest experience of my life. So happy that you guys did another rundown with these guys
He actually said on the last rig rundown that it was the same- but it wasn’t. It’s the minor changes that make things really fun. Dan is a huge pedal guy and tried some different things in this last album- it would be fun to see if he added anything from his studio board.
The original T-Model Ford guitar is displayed in the Highway 61 Blues Museum in Leland Mississippi. I visited it in August and it's signed and exhibited with his MXR Micro Chorus, his hat and lots of other things. Or at least I'm assuming it's the real thing…

Dan seems really down to earth love his attraction to different guitars and thinking out of the normal, the tech dan is tanked up but thats ok with me if he didnt know what he was doing he wouldnt be there lol all good for me ,everything Daniel has major mojo so awesome, im the same way love old amps and guitars and not always name brands ,finding your own sound and using old vintage equpiment is the way to go for me
I love listening to musicians talk about their Amps and pedals...its a real insight into how they get their tone...song to song. Hate listening to them talk about their guitars it's like when someone talks about their kids for hours on end....
Saw them in Phoenix this year. I knew the 59 was something great. I thought the Peavy Razor was a reverse Flying V though. They brought out their electric chair at the encore, I remember feeling electrified in my seat. I thought what a great concept, the transition of mainstream rock and roll, rock out in your seat. TBK do it best!

Greetings from Y-town. I played often in Akron and Cleveland decades ago. I know of Glenn. I've listened to Glenn's stuff. He was weird, talented player.
the drummer obviously plays guitar as well...I should have done my research.been loving these guys ever since the first started.at first its confronting with the drummers "interference" but the guitar player is fine with it....what a great band
Gibson call that green V Olive drab green. It's a limited run along with a Les Paul, an Explorer and a Firebird. All these models have been done in this Olive drab green color and they are limited editions. I know this because he stated that he got it for the tour he was on and that coincides with the release of this run of Olive drab green Guitars by Gibson. I think there is a 335 in this color too.
I've got one of those early Peavey Razer's definitely early 1980s, It's an interesting and cool guitar. Really cool to see that Dan has the same guitar, but mine is the Gold one.
My biggest regret of selling a guitar was my 83' Peavey Mystic. It was in the same family of that guitar they had 3 unusual shapes and my dad bought it for me in 83'after his friend had it for only 3 months.I played it for a couple years but had to have a strat or Les Paul and looking back the Mystic was a great US made guitar with those very hot razor blade pickups.
Those guitars are cool because they look funky and have a ton of Mojo. The problem with them in my opinion is that they are virtually unplayable toy guitars (though he obviously does not have any issues with them). He seems to really be into 70s lawsuit guitars now which I think have as much Mojo but are actual working instruments.
Zak knows that me and flatwounds go back a long way. People used to laugh at me when I'd go into old music stores, back in the 70's and buy all their old flatwound stock lying dusty in their back rooms.

It’s fun to watch their joint love of guitars and weird stuff play out on screen. What a great duo!
I liked the rundown with just the tech better. He's a funny guy
