Hi, one plexi marshall mixed into some tweed fender or deluxe hot rod whatever with “Airline H78” by eastwood guitars (copy of the Harmony h78 which is present in the video) or danelectro semi hollow anything or even epiphone casino would do the job with some easiest to find tubescreamer, tape delay and reverb. Godspeed mate.
My husband saw them at a festival on 08 and was HOOKED!! Was blown away by the fact it was just two dudes whaling on their instruments. Made me a fan immediately after hearing em🙌
Absolutely. Danger Mouse added a dynamic to their production that they've yet to beat imo. Attack & Release had such a unique conglomeration of genres, really is an awesome album. Next to that I'd say Magic Potion was their other best album pre Grammy days. I don't like much of what they've done after El Camino tbh
damn... so fucking raw and powerful it could crush your skull. I Imagine this sound coming from the basement of a house a hot sunday evening while I am walking through a desert neighborhood... simply amazing
This Dan is the one who influenced me soooo much lol. Crazy cuz we play so much alike now because when I was learning at 15 that's who interested me the most. His playing just sticks to the ear! Now his studio Easy Eye Sound is putting out INCREDIBLE music from some INCREDIBLE artists... I couldn't be more proud of these guys for real... ✌🖤🤘
I grew up with this era of Black Keys and it's just so gritty. A-Class. However, what Danger Mouse did with Attack and Release is the work of gods. Nothing else like it out there.
These are the best live renditions of any of the songs played here. Side note, you can see Pat's headphones hanging at 11:36 after they fell off a few seconds earlier lol
Black door is my favorite song period and idk why...i mean its probably the heaviest song they got and im a blues player, but i straight up picture hell in that song and still enjoy it😅👍
@@bluestogreen1693 If I had to choose I'd go with Rubber Factory, it has such strong material overall. Black door is a great tune, personally I love the intro to Just a Little Heat off of that album. So many great songs though, I'm pretty much going through both albums and trying to learn the guitar parts
@@nl6526 Yeah i play and sing their songs a loot! Seen them and it was dope! I'm from Cleveland, OH. This was OUR Keys, raw, loud, soulful. I miss these days a lot. These were the guys down the street, and we loved em. I can't even listen to the newer stuff... Radio friendly trash.
The original Black Keys.
For real
I miss them :')
@@sergiothiago221 lol simp
@Matthew Khari Thanks for the tip totally a real human and not a spam bot!
@@whatdothlife4660 How so bro?
This is the best black keys era
When your drummer actually beats the piss out of his set instead of imitating it on stage.
Triple Oh G's. In the pocket from the get go.....
Download that guitar tone straight into my soul

Wow !! Pat is killing on this one !! Absolutely mind blowing !! Such raw power form just two guys !!

I think it’s fascinating how this is almost like a completely different band then how they are now but they’re still the black keys it’s awesome
Hoping they go back to their roots on this upcoming album
.
Judging by the new single, it is never going to be as raw and mean.
You are an exaggerator. The black keys are the same. SImple, Soul, Blues- Rock.
The sound 💓
I miss this era
We all do
Alex Hern I 100% agree, I want the old keys back
@@lukefarwell5008 unfortunately they lost it. Sad tbh
Then listen to the CD
My compliments to the person whom mic'd the drums. 🤘
Nothing compares to rough jam sessions like this. Absolutely legend !
I miss the days when Dan used to look like Happy Gilmore's Caddie
Ahahahahahaha!!!
Give him a break, he’s just trying to make some money!
He only looks that way cuz you’ve only got one shoe on
I laughed so hard at this. Thank you.
Good call
Ahhh!! This is a good throw back.
Back when the Keys were raw. Just an amazing era for them musically
although they won a grammy with other hits, i believe this was their best album.

@@_dmfdyeah, after Turn Blue their albums absolutely suck. Turn Blue had like 3 decent tracks and only one good one.
I cannot name a favourite among Brothers, El Camino and Attack & Release but the later has my favourite songs
@@alcedob.5850 yo Attack and release is good. Brothers was awesome too.
Oh without a doubt

The best era ever. Fell in love them back then. Unreal
8:26 is pure old Black Keys for me, awesome.
This performance is so raw it got my girlfriend pregnant and I ain't even mad.
😂😂😂 I hope yalls 2yo is doing well
😂🎉

Pat went full cyclops hahaha
it's just two of them, but sounds like a complete band with 8 - 10 ppl.
love how pat play the drum like a boss. big guy pat
not really, sounds exactly like a 2 piece always does. completely fine but it would have sounded even better with a bass player like on the album.
Cos he uses the crash like a ride
I love Attack and Release
21:34 relatable, my headphones are the bane of my song drumming existence
When I think of The Black Keys this is the era and look of the band that I think of. Far better than recent years.
I grew up with this era of Black Keys and it's just so gritty. A-Class. However, what Danger Mouse did with Attack and Release is the work of gods. Nothing else like it out there.
Amazing drummer, guitarist and singer! Good Dope.
Pat was my first favorite drummer, i love his style !!
I know "Lets Rock" was just them two but i hope the next album they do all the songs live as a duo again.
christ i need to see a surgeon after listening to this set, my fuckin face melted right off
That drummer knows how to rock.
Yea
Poor Pat,struggling with the headphones monitors,
I felt annoyed for him..
How in the world this has only 124K views , this is pure gold..
Love it! Saw them in London on a Monday night for 10 quid a ticket. They may have evolved but they still true to themselves. Chur!
A dream that came true? The Black Keys on the KCRW.
Damn this sounds remarkably close to the record. Goes to show how good they really are
Holy shit, this is like, really really good. I don't even know what to say, honestly
Pat keeps head banging his headphones off of his head and I love it so much
Thank you so much for posting this.
THIS is the Black Keys- I much prefer them as a duo.
My favorite version of 10 AM automatic hands down.
so raw, no overdubs no nothing. just feeling. awesome show
The Black Keys are such an amazing band!
I love how all the Attack and Release songs feels like very “Magic Potion” since it is only Pat and Dan. Love this shit.
damn i love attack and release, glad i came across this vid
Probably best drumming by Pat in years, great show
11:12 Pats headphones always makes me chuckle here
I love you
I miss your Group so much
Thank you so much for posting this. Fing great
outstanding performance. this is rock n' roll like a few do these days.
They need to tour like this again
So good. Thanks for uploading this!
Thanks for uploading this guys !
Pat should see this again...
He's on point here
These are the best live renditions of any of the songs played here.
Side note, you can see Pat's headphones hanging at 11:36 after they fell off a few seconds earlier lol
These were the days when Dan didn’t have a different guitar in every song😂 Harmony H78 all the way trough!
Love it. Rubberfactory is their best album. 10 AM Automatic is the last song they play.
these effin' guys. i love them soooo much.
Best Band Ever!
One cool thing to do is to go to the original recording and discover/remember all the added production elements/instruments
when you just can't fk around..always go for the Ludwig Classic!..
Thanks!
Brilliant!
I can feel it, yeah!
So fricken good ❤
Nothing better
Magic potion my fave:) you guys?
Gotta be either Rubber Factory or Attack and Release

Amazing. This is the meat of the sandwich right here.
I don't know what those drums did to annoy Pat but I'm sure they deserved it.
Only early years...no indie
I love it when smug black keys fans pretend like they’re “a totally different band now,” I laugh.
