im about to do a big scary paint removal on my mustang to see what the damage is underneath wish me goodluck. also thanks for the update videos, they are great i am learning alot
Good Luck!! Don't be scared about starting with a coarse grit, perhaps 40, to shift the bulk of the material if you are planning to skim and repaint but try not to get to the metal. Once the top stuff has gone, drop to, perhaps, 80 to remove the last bits and get rid of the 40 grit scratches. When you are building it back up with filler and primer then block sand with 80 to get it flat, 120 to get rid of the 80 grit scratches, 180 to get rid of the 120 grit scratches, 240 to get rid of the 180 grit scratches, 400 to get rid of the 240 grit scratches...... Did I mention that sanding takes ages?
@@classiccarclips3292 thank you , appreciate the tips. it is working in my favor that sanding gonna take ages i need to spare up some money for other repairs
@@MexicanBatman Yeah, I know about the money challenges. Saving for an engine rebuild/upgrade to add a bit more torque while trying to fund the consumables like bloody sand paper through my art work NicksArtStuff.com Not enough money, not enough time and too much sanding 🙂
