FUEL Series 30 Min Dumbbell LEG DAY COMPLEX Workout | Day 26

  • Complexes! Dumbbells! Leg day! A recipe for a solid sweaty session using slow and precise movements to work the quads, hamstrings and glutes plus some cardio for conditioning!
    The timer will be on for each complex for 2 minutes so quite short duration of complexes! We have 15 seconds rest post each complex before we go into a simple staple of sprawl to alternating rear lunge for 30 seconds! We have 30 seconds to rest before the next complex!
    It will all be clear on-screen the reps per exercise throughout the entire complex!
    The dumbbells I am using throughout for your reference are 2 x 15kg each! Aside from dumbbells, I am also using a Plyo box but you can also use a stepper or very stable chair. All of the step ups are bodyweight only so you can use your hands to steady them if you place them near a wall!
    Alternatively, if you prefer to not perform step ups, you can perform forward-stepping or rear stepping lunges absolutely!
    STAPLE
    15 seconds after each complex!
    30 seconds duration, then 30 seconds before the next complex!
    SPRAWL TO ALTERNATING REAR LUNGE!
    HIGH SQUATS x10
    ALTERNATING REAR LUNGES x10
    STATIC LUNGE x10
    HAND TAP TO KNEE DRIVE LUNGE x10
    All same foot forward!
    STATIC LUNGE x10
    HAND TAP TO KNEE DRIVE LUNGE x10

    ALTERNATING STEP UPS x20
    GOBLET SQUAT x10

    To anyone like me defeated about weightloss desperately trying to find a way to get healthier habits.. To anyone giving up a few episodes into this series.
    Here I am now, I was in the same boat. Now on day 26, visible changes not just on the scale, but mentally and physically. More definition, less fat. Workouts got easier, and I'm loving ever minute.
    My advice to follow if you're struggling.
    - get into a routine. I do it first thing in the morning when I wake up so I have the entire day knowing it's done.
    - Drink lots of water, prioritize protein and vegetables. We want good nutrition. Working out does NOT work if you have poor nutrition.
    -Start slow if you can't manage the 30 minutes. Do 10 minutes, next day do 20, it you need a rest day, honour it.
    Your body will catch up.
    YOU GOT THIS. ❤

      Morning Devansh so very true what you say. I found time went so fast in this series as I have loved fuel. One of my favourites I think. Today was intense and demanding but fun here too. The staple was a relief from the complexes 😃 those step ups burned more as time went on 😱 the finisher was brutal esp those squat to floor jumps. Had nothing left at that stage but carried on to the end. Thank you Caroline brilliant as always. Add on done too ✅.

      @@matthewalmond8274 morning Matthew wasn't it a fantastic brutal sess🤣🤣 love complexes too but staple was a relief and fun from the intensity of the complex. Those step ups got more ouchie as time went on esp momentum ones🔥🔥 finisher was tough esp squat to floor. Had nothing left in the tank at that stage but saw it to the end. Fell to the mat in a sweaty messy heap 😜😜 used 15kg today. Add on done too ✅. Delighted to see abs otherwise I don't think I would have done it. Great way to start the day.

    It’s the last week of fuel so let’s work hard, have fun and smash these workouts together! We were promised a solid leg day today...and that’s what we have!!       That was SWEATY. I switched the staple to explosive squats and still was sweating a looot, can’t imagine with all the sprawls😂 Such great variety though, it went by super quick!

    I've really enjoyed this series. I love the cardio mixed with strength. I've noticed, especially with Sunday's cardio, that I have more endurance. Thank you Caroline you are such an inspiration

    OMG!!! That was such a tough one!!! I don't remember the last time I sweated this much 😅 I LOVED IT!! It was so challenging, but in the best way possible. I think this was one of my fave leg days so far!! I loved the cardio staple and it went by so quickly!

    Did Iron serie twice. Finshed it for two weeks ago and done Fuel series for 8 months ago and restartet for few days ago ...... Still challenging. Mix of strength and cardio LOVE IT .... Leg day always very sweaty. Thank you so much Caroline. I miss you soooo much and really hope to see you soon again with your unique workout programmmes ...... You ARE THE BEST Caroline !!!!!!

    Caroline, I started your work outs last year after seeing a post from someone on another site. I was never able to complete any of your workouts. I realized during this work out that I have been completing them now for weeks. I told myself well she probably made her routines easier. Then it occurred to me ‘No you have gotten stronger’ Thank you for these!

    Hello Caroline, today I begin the sixth week of your Fuel Series. I feel the same as I did with your Iron Series. My body is stronger, it's leaner, and my muscles show. There was a time when other workouts I did, failed to garner me the same type of results. Obviously, they were not what I needed. I really enjoy your workouts - even though I know sometimes they're going to make me acknowledge muscles I'd forgotten about. Thank you for inciting me to work out and be the best version of myself at this stage of my life! (Sixty and Strong!)

    The squat to floor jump squat, lateral lunge to lateral step ups and rear lunges to momentum step ups were insane! The finisher was IRON, HEAT & FUEL COLLIDE. I'm in a pool of sweat. I used 30lbs for the duration. Loved the format and the staple was fun 😀

    What a way to start the week. Brilliant, challenging Complexes Leg Day! I just loved it! I used 2x15kg Dumbbells and 2x12.5kg Dumbbells for the Rear step Lunges. Wow wow, what a workout. Caroline Girvan, you are a genius in writing these workouts. 💖💥

    I can't believe I've lasted this long. I've done other programs that have lasted a couple of weeks. But anything that's been longer than that I had not really stuck to. But this one I did....and its my 1st time doing one of your programs Caroline. It has truly been challenging, but that's probably what made me stick to it.

      Yessss Tony ☺️ hard to believe our final week of another series. I feel this one flew by so quickly as I enjoyed so much. As for today's sess what a brilliantly planned intense sess. I loved it from start to finish. Those step ups were ouch esp as time went on🥵 it was a relief to do the sprawl after the intensity of the complex. As for the finisher omg!! That last squat to floor really pushed me as had nothing left in the tank but went to the end and dropped to the mat🥵🥵 never so glad to see an abs add on so I could stay lying on the floor🤣🤣 thank you Caroline. Time flew by with this and it was such fun but tough too.

    I was a big HIIT hater until CG.. Sunday was soooo challenging, and I LOVED IT! What a feeling when you’ve made it to the end! Looking forward to this last week of Fuel!

      That’s so brilliant to read, Catherine! Caroline gets us to do things we didn’t know we liked! I’ve always loved HIIT and cardio and running etc. But before Caroline I had never used weights heavier than 5 kg! Caroline has gradually taught me to enjoy using heavier weights! As you say she is truly the best! Hope you love today’s workout! Matthew

    Great Leg Sesh!!🤩 First Complex, Legs were already seriously challenged. Focusing on form and counting helped to push through. Staples were perfect breather. Love the Step-ups..though forgot to count on the alternating ones 😅. After the Finisher legs feel Amazing. Time flew. Also did 20min. Abs & core wo.

    This leg day complexes were so powerful!!.i looked at the screen at the end of it and Caroline was smiling and waving and i could hardly smiled back,but i did!! I felt so proud to complete it with 2x12.5kg.heart rate was very high all the way,i started this workout with low energy and i ended up so awaken.the i loved adding abs and core right after this . Isnt it just amazing how much progress we all do here?hard work beside alot of joy.Thank you.
    ***An hour later..i am finished!!!😆

    Loved this work out with the long working out period. Throw that staple in and the heart rate was kept high! Great work out!! Used 10kg each as my legs are my weakness and my glutes so really trying to step back, lower the weights and really concentrate on my form (sometimes I need to remind myself I am training for life and I am not a fitness queen like Caroline!!!).

    Oooo this was a good one! I did this outside at my cabin at the lake on a gloomy day, bit of rain & wind - so it was actually really lovely! Appreciated that I only needed one set of weights and a chair!

    Final week is here 🙌 and what a kick start to this beautiful week 😍 I really enjoyed doing sprawl with rear lunges caroline really made this workout tough and challenging with the sprawl....high squats,lunges have now become my friends and I really enjoy every bit of doing them...

    Caroline believe me when I say of all your workouts, this has been my favorite.... and I have done all of them without missing one. This one has been the perfect combination, just as this serie that for me has been my favorite is dynamic is perfect. Makes you love exercise.

    I really enjoy these shorter complexes! I also was glad that the stretching at the end was all done with feet planted on the floor. I was drenched with sweat and it was nice to not have to lay/swim in it on my mat 😆 thanks Caroline! Good luck everyone and good job!

    Doing this seriees on and off (life gets in the way) is certainly challenging! After 2-4 staples, I simply stopped doing them, and took that time to rest instead. My knees a problem area, and lunges + squats REALLY irritate them. Best part - I didn't even feel guilty for switching to longer breaks! It's so important to listen to your body and sub in whatever it craves that day. Today, it was taking longer breaks and tomorrow it might be omitting an exercise or adding on a mobility routine.
    So excited for my favorite - upper body!

    It scares me that I used to be fit enough to do workouts like this without struggling as much as I do now😂
    But I suppose that just shows the power of consistency.
    I really enjoyed this, but it was REALLY tough for me today.
