My year also didn't go as planned. I didn't reach any of the goals I set a year ago! I was feeling down about it last week, but as I pondered on the year, I realized that I have grown in many ways. I have learned to be more content with my life circumstances and with myself. I have learned to be more mindful and less frantic about getting on to the next thing. I am so much more calm and happy. I appreciate your sentiments!!

I had cancer back in 2022, so this year was basically my body’s response to what I had to handle in 2022, so it wasn’t a great moment for me but it always the year I turned 30 and things happened in ways I never imagined but whenever the noise was too loud in my mind, your videos soothed my anxiety and calmed my mind, I thank you very much for that. You don’t know but you should that your simple however, lovely and wise words helped more people than you will ever know. ❤ Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 💕✨💗😘

I also had several events that wasn’t planned. When I got shingles in August, my immune system struggled the next 4 months. Several goals weren’t met which was disheartening, but I got much needed rest and reflection done during those days. Hoping for a better and brighter new year for all. Thanks for taking us on your journey!

I think part of learning and growing is being able to take setbacks with grace and adjust to unexpected changes while remaining resilient and staying grateful. If we always got everything we wanted and all our plans always played out exactly how we wanted it then in a way life wouldn’t be as fun.

I have similar sentiments with you on year 2023. The first half was really great, but on the midyear some things didnt go the way I wanted so I had to make a decision. With that decision I had to work for it and pray for the outcome, felt slow and stuck for 2 months and got less motivated until some unexpected opportunity came knocking on my door. This happened just a month ago.
It felt surreal so I had to take it because it's sooo out of my comfort zone so I want to challenge myself this 2024. My prayers haven't been answered yet but I believe I'm exactly where I'm at right now. ❤
So thank you for your 2023 reflection, it helped me realize that life is full of surprises but I'm also a dreamer and want to fulfill them eventually.

Most of us do dream and plan our life out by the days, weeks, months and years. As you’ve said here it’s almost necessary to know where you’re going. We all know that they won’t always work out but it’s nice to have intentions. My husband and I have had many things go not according to plan and thankfully we’ve been able to adjust successfully. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that I’m much stronger than I thought I was. I’m also courageous and resilient. I’m thankful for all the blessings I have and the fact that I’ve learned so much through the plans that never worked out. Wishing you a very happy, safe, prosperous and healthy new year.❤️🙏

I found your channel this year and absolutely love your channel along with Madison Grays channel. I started decluttering back in 2003 when my daughter was little. For decades now I’ve paired down and my family and friends have always laughed at me for it. I’ve moved twice in the last year and it brought me back to my warm minimalism lifestyle. My kids are now 21 and 19 and it took me years to understand why I always wanted to declutter. It was too much stuff that kept coming in year after year. You have even inspired the thought of me doing some you tube videos :)

Thank you for being such a positive source of hope and optimism this year, Sophie! I find driving to be very cathartic, and often play your podcasts while in the car. You help inspire me to take a deep breathe, dream big, but ultimately to live in the moment and not allow moments to pass me by. My biggest goal for 2024 is to begin to taste financial freedom and spend consciously, alongside a low buy 2024 and regular project 333s. Wishing you the best year so far in 2024

2023 was quite a year indeed! I have come to embrace 'everything happens with purpose' even if I don't understand it all the time.
I also enjoy watching/listening to 'The Diary of a CEO' and I particularly loved the conversations with Mo Gawdat. As I get older I certainly am questioning and reviewing my perception of happiness, how I can be happy right now and what is really right for me. Life is full of twists and turns, and we only focus on what we can control, and that in itself can make all the difference to our lives, the lives of others and the world. 💛
