Interesting ideas with awful execution. Blizzard really don’t understand their player base - who wants to feel included 1 week out of 4 but excluded the other 3?
The affix row at 7 is insanely bad (and now on a quicker rotation) and now we have to deal with either tyrannical or SUPER fortified…
It’s like someone came up with this in an afternoon without taking any of the feedback from the community onboard while doing it.
The vast majority of the player base like the game less with affixes, Blizzard can’t balance affixes and tbh we’re all sick to death of talking about them.
Blizzard have proven that they’re incapable of getting affixes into a place that makes the player base happy to in my opinion it’s time to nuke the entire affix system.
I pretty much disagree with everything you said, I really like the new affixes they're simple but might effect builds some weeks, like a ele shaman might go the Lighting build on the nature week, or a guardian druid going the moonfire build on arcane weeks.
the fact that you think because you don't benefit from the buffs every week , that it's nerf to you is very egotistical and self centered.
Plus, the damage types fit the theme of the expansion,so it isn't just random.
You need too learn that this is a team game,and even if you don't benefit that week from the buff, someone in your party probably does.
@@slandry4664 Just wait utill you dont get into group because the toxic community trying to push like a +4, just because your class arent the "meta" for that week. I know its silly but i will bet thats whats going to happen, because minmax is out of hand.
How to make sure only certain classes are brought.. atleast with afflicted and incorporeal (which were both annoying, dont get me wrong) multiple classes could deal with it. This just sounds like a tank issue and lets bring a mage/priest to deal with the rest
Uhh, little bro. 6/13 classes cannot touch afflicted if they wanted to, pretty ridiculous

@@Titandwarf right, but afflicted, especially, borderline wipes the group, whereas the new affixes (only on caster mobs or vice versa so even less impactful) are purely passive. And frankly they wouldn't even be noticed if bliz straight up made them a hidden passive.
Sure the idea is fine with the dmg amps, but the specific dmg type they picked seems randomly chosen. Maybe if we could pick specific affix mods to fit our comp?

I’m really happy healer affixes are gone when groups under +14 don’t help with them. And the dps increase is marginal at best. If shadow is doing 40% more than mage a 10% increase to mage on a small number of adds isn’t going to make them wanted.
Damage profiles not damage numbers is the reason a meta spec is meta. Rotating increased damage numbers is fine imo and removing incorp and afflicted help with bringing more specs which I feel like is the general direction of this. I really dislike some of the damage amps the mobs get because that could really make a week feel unplayable atleast for some specs
I get that they want to make flavor of the week stuff so that more classes are viable...
This is a good start, but the X% damage from Y school is problematic, especially the bleed one.
Maybe remove the school part and just let it be flat % damage from all sources.
This will likely not have a major impact on lower level keys, although toxicity in M+ pugs has risen over time. There is a possibility that blizz will not achieve the outcome they desire with these affixes. If so, doubt they will modify them mid season.
Conclusion: M+ testing starts on 13th, test a lot, provide feedback, hope they will take it into account and change the affixes
If they change the +7 affix bucket with those new affix instead of the +4 bucket 100% of the playerbase gonna say best change ever

This is terrible we wanted to be rewarded for executing the affixes right not because I do bleed damage. So stupid

These new affixes cant really be tested properly in beta environment, because they naturally influence social part of the game. How huge the shitshow is we will find out few weeks after the launch.
But id scrap them entirely. It adds a little bit of good and doubling down on bads. Its aint it chef.
Blizz tone deaf affixe changes. I mean how do they consciously decide to move the wrong row of affixes? or heck, remove spiteful vs BOLSTERING. Jesus christ.
People who are upset are the ones who roll to the meta every season and this kills that. These affixs allow that every spec has some time in the sun. I think they are a great idea

It's a poor excuse. By introducing those new affixed they just admitted to being incompetent in balancing DPS specs and now they are trying to bandaid fix it with that crap
these affixes suck and make meta way worse bc each week a specific school of magic is buffed so you cant main a spec again...bc school of magic buffs each week

I kinda don’t like specific damage type for affixes because most everyone is tryhard Andy’s and will only take people who can do the damage type to mid max keys. I like the idea and concept just not the execution.
I smell a priest/hpal meta for healers. Hurray -_-;

@@fonstv6199 the bonus damage for the new affix... Hpal and priest are the ones that deal holy and shadow dmg. And WoW is all about being a degenerate meta slave.

Reckless is phys focused and arcane. Monk foes phys and pala does (some) as well. Druid can do phys and also does arcane.
Thorned is the ones you mentioned, nothing to add.
Attuned is nature and bleeds - pretty sure this is druids only.
Focused is frost and fire - might be evoker only? Im not sure.
Note - I haven't really given it too much thought as a lot might change, but this is 100% not gonna force everyone into pala and priest
