This conductor is everything that a conductor should be. I've heard it said that with professional musicians like this, you really don't NEED a conductor - they're perfectly capable of playing the piece in unison without the baton. But this guy... he's not exactly directing the music, he IS the music. And that's how I want to live my life... I am not directing the music, I AM the music. We are part of it, it is part of us! So what is the difference? You are not alone! This brought tears to my eyes today.
Uma música cativante e que emociona o coração mais duro. A mais linda prova de amizade que uma melodia de Nobuo Uematsu conseguiu deixar!!Essa versão ficou perfeita!
Seriously, i cry when i hear this beautiful song, is like a reminds of a thousand memories in the past, but i feel happy when i hear this :) LOVE IT SO MUCH!
cuando llegue a esa parte del juego por primera ves senti algo que nunca me habia pasado, tenia tal grado de epicidad que me puse a llorar. tan joven era.
"Who would've thought that the home I yearned for would be a dump like this?" Zidane is simply the best protagonist in all FF games out there! He managed to make me smile despite his depression, now that's something that doesn't happen all the time.
FF12 was made by the same team that made FF9, FFT and Vagrant Story. Square has always had multiple teams in their company. Nomura has never had anything to do with the Ivalice, and uematsu only did the music for 9, while Hitoshi Sakamoto has been the star composer of the other 2 i mentioned. The thing is, in the middle of development of FF12 the main director of the Ivalice Alliance had to take leave and it was left up to the director of the SaGa series to take the rein, so ofc things changed.
well, the "you are not alone" moment is exactly the one that i would really like to see with voice acting. but you have to think theres good and bad voice acting, bad voice acting can destroy a whole character(like vanille from ff13) but sometimes it can be very powerful, my personal favorite game is the first metal gear solid, i cant imagine this game without voice acting but with the old ffs it worked pretty awesome as you said
Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware that they did a remake for the PS store. As soon as I get my PS3 back (currently letting someone borrow it) I will be sure to get those downloaded. Then I will be one step closer to playing all games currently in the series. I've enjoyed all of the games thus far, so I doubt it will be disappointing.
Vivi's declaration at the end of the game, woah, so depressing, this game is pure art in terms of history. Vivi is my favorite character on all FF series, because he doesn't know where he came, who he is, and the game shows his history, his life, his end. sorry for the bad english
I also have to wonder if Nobuo Uematsu had any idea that his music would be so loved as to everyone making tributes to his work. He is, in my opinion, the Mozart of the modern era.
I could go on, but those are the ones I've played the most and/or finished. To me, the music for the FF series is always good. It's just some of the scores are a little more memorable than others. I hope Square Enix keeps creating highly imaginative stories for a long time to come. Sadly, it seems the RPG genre for video games is on the decline for the US. Herm... :/
Isn't that so weird? How 17 year old Squall is considered 'less mature' (not by me) than the ladies-man-thief Zidane? I think it is beautiful to see how different of an impact the characters have on everyone :)
"I always talked about you, Zidane. How you were a very special person to us, because you taught us all how important life is. You taught me that life doesn't last forever. That's why we have to help each other and live life to the fullest. Even if you say goodbye, you'll always be in our hearts. So, I know we're not alone anymore. Why I was born... How I wanted to live... Thanks for giving me time to think. To keep doing what you set your heart on... It's a very hard thing to do. We were all so courageous... What to do when I felt lonely... That was the only thing you couldn't teach me. But we need to figure out the answer for ourselves... I'm so happy I met everyone... I wish we could've gone on more adventures. But I guess we all have to say goodbye someday. Everyone... Thank you. Farewell. My memories will be part of the sky..." - Vivi
Purplepuppet The creations of Japan, especially anime and games, have been the moral Mr Miyagi's or Yoda or whoever is your guy, of so many of us. I learnt to not give up by watching Bleach, I learnt to care about people from Naruto, I learned what adventure is from RPGs. If japanese game and anime were just slightly incorporated into school systems all over the world, just about 30 minutes a day, the world would be in peace.
***** Actually, I think it'd be more in war than it is now, since the more popular animes, especially the 2 you just listed, and RPG games usually have pretty brutal themes to them.
Clohne Freid The ones causing brutality are the enemies, the player is trying to save the world by sticking with his friends. I seriously doubt that that would be harmful.

+Wataru Hayase That's beautiful. Thanks for sharing your story. I think what moved me the most about FF9 is how we fear death. Some people, like Kuja were so afraid to die it drove him to do insane, evil things in order to prevent it. In the end I felt so sorry for him, because he felt so alone and had no hope. He was the real victim. If he were not so afraid, would he still have been a villain? And nope, you are not alone. I appreciate you.

" When we heard it play a little later in the night, I cried. It holds so much sentiment!

Christopher Wilbanks hearing your description is exactly how I have always felt. Especially about people believing there is no significant value because it's a silly waste of time, it's just a video game. I got the Chance to see the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy Orchestra 3 times live , and it has been the most beatiful Music ive ever seen and heard live . it touched me in so many ways , and i barely could Held my Tears back at every piece of it , aswell as susann calloway was singing … its worth every hard earned Gil - and id recomend it by anytime again ! - Greetings

I felt the same chills I had so many years ago when I first heard this song and saw this scene. May Final Fantasy never die
this is art, i cannot even describe how grateful i am
"You don't need a reason to help people" is a quote that FF9 gave me that I will carry to my grave
I love the conductors expression at 3:28! He is loving the music, wonderful!
This is the most beutiful performance of this song I have ever seen on youtube. I'm glad there are things like Final Fantasy in our wourld.

Wow! The conductor seems to be having a blast! It makes this piece even better!
I'm a grown man and still can't hear this without having the urge tu sob even a little

First time Ive heard this was 11 years ago...still moves me to tears. Its just so beautiful....it really fucking is!!!!
Beautiful ...
Three basic parts to a game:
the story
the artwork
the soundtrack
I haven't seen many developers put so much work into all three like this game
