  • After my video on the plasti dip vs Rustoleum Peel Coat vs Duplicolor EZ Peel test. I got a lot of suggestions on covering how well they peel off. So I did a video on how well they peel. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I hope you enjoy the video.

    Sometimes people don't put on the different color enough and it's hard to pill off and what I'm also use is W40 if you sprayed on there it would start dissolving it open it so the one it's pretty hard to get off tried to W40 and see if that would remove

    Do you think Rustoleum Peel would be safe on an aluminium rifle chassis?

    • @autovice
      @autovice  3 года назад

      @duMaurier I would think so. It comes right off on aluminum wheels. I say go for it, worst case you just peel it off.

  • @jonpos4671
    @jonpos4671 Год назад

    If I paint my rims and never plan on peeling them off, which would last longer? Of course, if it failed, I would be forced to peel the remainder. 🤔

    • @garybrady7245
      @garybrady7245 7 месяцев назад

      It'll last as long as you put on at least 5-6 coats minimum. I've got 8 on my mirrors and it's been going on 2 years and still looks good. The key to any type of peelable coating is mad coats

      @@autovice oh dang, that's awesome, I bought my daughter a 4wheeler that is in really decent shape but little scratches here and there on the frame, I think we will just spray it with this stuff and powder coat it later. We have the duplicolor. Thanks alot for the review man.

    it would be interesting to see if it would peel off original paint under the peel coat

    • @autovice
      @autovice  3 года назад

      @Ricardo Luna I hope it wouldn't, that would suck. But it's a good idea, because that's what I think most of us are worried about. LOL.

    • @garybrady7245
      @garybrady7245 7 месяцев назад

      It won't as long as you apply enough coats. I recommend 5-6 coats minimum. I have 8 coats on my mirrors and it works great

  • @LoneWolf-sh1ph

    If I done my whole car in that and it doesn't peel off easy do you think it would come off easy with a sander?

    • @autovice
      @autovice  3 года назад +2

      @Lone Wolf I would not recommend a sander. I think it will cake up and the sander might also damage the paint under the plastidip. I would probably use dip dissolver. Hope that helps! Thanks for watchin!

      Get you some Xylol (Xylene) and couple rolls of cheap paper towels and some nitrile gloves and watch it come off. And the reason it's hard to get off is not enough coats. Mad coats it takes

    Did you use one whole can per wheel?

    • @autovice
      @autovice  4 года назад

      @Dezzydaze I would say I used about a half can to 3/4 of a can per wheel. It's kinda tough to say for sure because I bought 1 can of each product per wheel and they all seem to have plenty left in them. I did do a set in the Rustoleum gold a while ago and I think I used about 3 cans for a set of 4. Here is the link for that video if you want to check it out. I hope it helps. Thanks for watching!

    Will this peel off if used on sidewalk?

    • @autovice
      @autovice  2 года назад

      @Ishrat Rahman I would say it will mostly peel off. But it will need a lot of scrubbing. The concrete is too porous and this will get in all those little holes and take forever to come out. I wouldn't do it myself. But if you try it, let me know.

    • @ishratrahman5051
