Very informative. Just the other day, as I was pulling into work, my 2019 1500 went into an electrical spaz. Wipers turned on (would not turn off) parking sensors went bonkers, and it would not turn off. Had to disconnect the battery and call a tow truck to get it to the dealership. They looked at it 3 days later and cannot seem to duplicate the problem. After watching your video, I realized I had pressured washed the truck the night before.... Hmmmm, wondering now if the high pressure water got in and soaked the hub.

Are these in SL or E?

Seems that crack is a dodge Ram issue, mine is has the exact same crack and water did leak a few weeks back when it was raining.

Mine did it too once, i just put it in drive and pressed button, it turned off !

This seems like a common issue. I just had this issue and that’s what prompted me to look up a video. my truck would not turn off and instead would cycle between accessory and run only. I ended up leaving it on accessory, exiting the vehicle, locking it, unlocking it, got back inside and it finally allowed me to turn it back off. Might have just been luck though

Ive used all brands, odly enough plastidip seems to be the worst in its own class. custom wrap looks the best, easiest to apply, easiest to remove, and has amazing longevity

Good video I just wish you peeled them to see if there were any issues with that aspect after them being on for that long. I know they are all designed to peel but would have been interested to see those results.

Major problem I ran into is that my 5th GEN has the sport hood... it doesnt fit the hood, the rear 2/3 doesnt seal against the bottom of the hood. So so much for me getting this one.

My 2020 Rebel just did this in my driveway. Just trying all kinds of things. Husband put in reverse, backed up a little, then drove back forward… that worked. It shut down. We restarted and stopped a few more times for good measure. Almost 50K miles.

During the dyno runs and the discussion in their shop, the only thing I could hear is air spewing from an air hose or something and yelling in the background. I didn’t understand a word anyone said. If you test the cold air intakes on a different day the differences in air density or temperatures will make a bigger difference on performance than the different air intakes. The results will be unreliable unless tested under the same air density.

I just had the same problem this morning. I drove to work 20 minutes, went to shut the Rebel off and nope. The screen would but not the truck. It ran for about 1 1/2 hours the timer didn't even shut it off. I ended up hitting the start / stop button 5 times fast and by chance it shut off. I brought it back to the dealer where I bought it from so now I'll wait to see what happens.

You have to keep in mind that when the truck is going down the road you start getting a slight positive pressure that you're not getting on the dyno.

What about how they peel off would be nice to know which peels off easier

They did not use a fan, so going down the highway you would get some colder air.

Would these work on a 2wd Frontier? I do a lot of highway driving but want something that looks a little more aggressive.

If you care THAT much about plastic engine covers under the hood, you probably shouldn't own a truck.

I’ve used all 4 paints as well. In terms of ease of use, I would say 1. Dupli-color (this one sprays on like a dream. Nice wide Evan spray) 2. Plasti dip (pretty midrange, on par with a regular spray paint.) 3. Rugged coat (thick narrow spray) 4. Rustoluem peel coat (I hate this one. The spray and application was horrible)

Did you get the window fixed also? If not it’s just going to happen again! Oh geez what a pain
