First time drag racing at LS Fest West 2019 in Las Vegas

I went to LS Fest in Las Vegas planning on doing Autocross. But that was sold out. So I entered in my first drag races! It was tougher than I thought but I think I got the hang of it. Nice G8, The motor is solid, sounds great. Your reaction time does not have anything to do with your quarter mile time. The time starts when you cross the lights, you could wait 30 seconds at the light , time wouldn't start until you cross the beams. My stock G8 run back in 2008 , I ran 13.5 , you gota get the power to the ground

@Gearhead Joe Thanks for the tip! I thought it started when the light turned green. LOL! Yeah, I gotta get some better grip. I think if I ease up on the throttle, just a bit, on the launch that would help out a lot. And I think I need to air down some more too. 13.5 is good for stock. Did you do any mods to the G8 since?

AutoVice, your times would of been a little better if you had already installed the aftermarket tail lights. LOL. Just kidding. They are probably lighter than the stock ones though.

@@autovice Ha Ha. We've had ours just under two weeks, and I was finally able to go outside today and give er a proper washing. We've had intense rainfall the last week here in Arkansas.
