There's a mistake on the last answer: *the internal sound recorder is stereo* because it has two openings on either side of the flash and shows two channels in the video sound settings even when no ext. microphone is connected. But then again, 4 years later who tf if gonna consider buying this forgotten camera anyway... expect for me, apparently.

This small camera from Canon looks quite interesting. I saw all the different aspects of the introduction on this video which I see that you did a good job. I would like to ask one question: How is the dynamic range for this camera? has anyone shot images and gone through the whole processing to see how it handles the dynamic range? Does it show too noise at 400 ISO? Thanks.

What I like from the M5 s the size and the electronic viewfinder, but I like the 77D for the Autofocus and -3ev focus point and that I don't have to use any adapter to use my current Canon EF lens, and the interface of wheels and buttons similar to my 6D. Mostly for travel, what is your suggestion between both cameras?
@@DigitalGojaUSA I don't get the "availability of lenses" argument. The Canon adaptor to put EF lenses on the M5 is seamless. I have used my Canon EF 100-400mm II on my M5 and it works great. Much easier to take moon shots than my 7D.

Am looking for a travel camera but I am also consider myself as photography enthusiast, want to upgrade from smartphone photography to a more serious one? And which one you prefer, EF M lens 18-150 or 55-200 if I want an all rounder lens, considering I already have 18-55mm and 22mm fixed? Thanks...!
Hi, the M5 is still a relevant camera, and the M6 MK II should be a great step up from it. If you want a travel camera we would recommend you some camera from the Rebel series, like the T7i or the M6 directly. Since you already have those 2 lenses, the 55-250mm should be the next one, getting it you will have the complete range covered.
It seems Canon removed that option, we just checked it on the camera that we have here and it is not available on this model, some older models had it.

Hi! It's the first camera with the DIGIC 7 processor which gives you wider dynamic range and much less noise.

Hi Boris, the M5 is a great small camera, however for practical reasons and the availabilty of lenses we would go with the 77D.

Hi, you can try to change it in the options, in custom functions. It is still worth getting it but you should also consider the M6.
