- The WWE back the day was wild, but nothing was more wild than when Edge and Lita back in January 2006, on a live episode of RAW. Came out and had a live celebration. This was WWE wildin out in 2006 as if it was 1998. In the middle of the ring they had a bed and they had Edge & Lita "Celebrate" while millions of kids watched from home and thousands of people watched live in the arena.
.. and guess who had the pleasure of watching this at home. 7 year old WrestlinGifs.

I agree Attitude era and Ruthless agression era are 2 of the best era imo. RA matches were so much better. Smackdown 6, kurt angle, brock lesnar, cena was cool back then. (Until 2010).

My granny was actually a huge wrestling fan and was happy when my brother and I got into it she'd happily buy every PPV. Then when this episode of RAW came on, I was 5 turning 6, it's in Cali so it's 6pm Pacific time. My granny was like "mijo, wrestling is on" then I ran to her room cuz we'd watch it together... But then I saw her enjoying what was goin on in the ring then I was like "granny what is this? oh it's Edge! but what's going on" then she points at the TV and says "that's how you make money mijo"

First of all. It is heard not herd. Second of all she was under contract. Funny how she wants to complain she was made to do it but she certainly had no issue taking that sweet sweet wwe money. Wrestlers know exactly what their contracts dictate and she willingly signed it. I have zero pity for her.

Every time I tune in bro I swear it’s as if we lived the exact same childhood during these times! 😂 I too recorded so many episodes throughout 05-07 and always looked forward to every Monday after a ppv wondering all day at school what the results were haha. Great times I’ll never forget brotha!

Fun Fact: if I got it correctly back in January this year, Lita responded on the 14th anniversary of her and edge live celebration, she doesn’t wanted to get in bed with edge during the celebration because it was not conformable but Vince McMahon decline lita’s offer because if lita doesn’t do it she’ll be fired from the company.
Edited note: I was 7 years old that time in a couple of days ready to be 8, I didn’t watch wrestling til 2007 but I recently heard about it

This story is so relatable 😂 I remember being 10 years old at the time & I could not wait for Monday Night Raw because like you I didn't watch the PPV the night before. Unfortunately for me the only TV in our home that had Cable was the TV in our living room 😕 As I was watching this go on I began sweating just hoping my Parents didn't walk by the living room I remember praying for John Cena to come out & end it 💀😂😂 Man what a time to be alive, even though I haven't watched WWE in over a decade I love your channel for all the nostalgia Thank you for that 🙏

I loved when Edge won the title lol. I was like 15 years old back then, I had no problem with Cena in the beginning, I just got tired of him holding the title for so long, I was at a point where i didnt care who had the title, just not cena. I needed a break from him having it.

In Indonesia, we barely get any chance of watching wrestling ppvs (WWE doesn't air theirs and TNA was behind by at least a month and were out of order) so finding stuff out from video packages was a very relatable experience for me 😂

I remember the first time I watched this was in 2009, on my dad's laptop (that was when I first discovered the internet, so of course I didn't know how to delete my history).. My dad, for some reason, searched the history and found the clip.. I lied and said it was my older brother but then he found out and I got the first of many proper butt whooping from him.. I was a lucky kid watching this because I catches the replay of this episode (in Spanish) on telemundo and by some miracle I was by myself watching the segment and was confused by what was happening in the ring (8 years old at the time). At this point, late teenage me was so into Edge. He was number 2 to The Undertaker to me, but Undertaker was a SmackDown! guy, so having Edge beat out Cena was a blessing to me. (I was tired of Cena at this point)
I still remember my 60s-70s year old mom and dad sitting on the couch behind me as this celebration happened... I already graduated high school, and it was still super awkward. To their credit, they were laughing at it the whole time and probably knew they weren't really going to show anything too bad on TV like this.
