Prime Edge was a SAVAGE!

- There has never been a wrestler I have hated in my life more than Prime Edge. From 2005 until 2009, Edge was on another level. This man was the scummiest, the slimiest, just a pure certified 100% Savage.. and I think it is finally time we go back in time and take a look at just how savage this man truly was.
I hate you Edge!

Hey guys, I made this video while I had COVID and it was lowkey a struggle. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this. Sorry for not being active past few weeks. But I got sooo much content planned now that I’m back to 100%. Love you guys❤️
I love this guy
Prime edge and wrestling gifs

Man im so glad you followed up the prime orton video with a prime Edge vid, but Pav im begging please, please re-upload the video ''Why everyone loves Jeff Hardy'', you can make some edits without getting copyrighted by the WWE. I'm praying you could do a re-upload, coming from a fan of your content and as a fan of jeff hardy.
Let’s go
Basically Edge is the literal embodiment of "Local man ruins everything."
You mean Canada man, the mortla rival of Florida man
Lol
@@My6119 I'm floridian and I hate Florida 😆 🤣
Edge is pretty much comic book Cletus Cassidy or carnage he plays with his prey and then destroys them
Is this a wonder years reference
Edge is that character u didn’t appreciate til you older lol
And he's back to his old ways 90's faction style
Me: (jumps exited uncontrollably)
SO TRUE
Big facts
that was hhh and the rock for me, I was a stone cold fan boy
Preach 🙏🏾
Edge is the embodiment of the “He can’t keep getting away with it” meme
but he's freaking Edge, he can
Nah, he's the Embodiment of the "I'll fucking do it again" Goofy meme.
Hunter has the early 2000s, Edge had the Mid 2000s, and Randy took the late 2000s. What a run of Heels
They're all my favourites😂 Even back then.
Jbl had a good couple of years as well
@@brianflo6988i am a wrestling GAAAAAAAAD
Then the top heels were The Miz and R-Truth.
No wonder the pipebomb hapenned...
JBL Edge and Orton yes HHH was boring and annoying specifically 02 - 05
Randy Orton was a menace, Edge was a savage, a match made in hell that became Rated RKO.
Dem boys was lethal bruh 😂
Bruh i legit hated them dudes
@nemo pouncey had that Old ass man out there getting murdered by a psycho and a menace
Rug that’s litterskky the embodiment of pure Evil. It’s a Fubu
Sadly didn't last that long
he did say in one interview that his goal for his heel run was to be the most despised man in the roster with no redeeming qualities whatsoever and sure enough, he succeeded
And is still loved lol
Well his intelligence is something to be admired!
he's the only heel i've ever hated, i usually like the heels more. Only now when im older i see how good he was
lmao I did not hate this nigga if anything I Admired That Opportunist Personality
He failed , everyone loves him
I will always remember how much I hated this guy as a kid, back then, I could have never foreseen how much I would cry when he announced his retirement in 2011. Edge is truly amazing
Facts bro I cried like a baby
Lol same I always go back to watch it … I was clapping and sobbing at that episode
Edge is a one of kind wrestler...
I hated him too in the 2000s, but it's impossible to deny his talent and work ethic. He was an example of a wrestler who was just as good on the mic as he was in the ring.
I always loved Edge's badass Trenchcoat.
Me too, because of him he's kinda made me wanna start wearing trenchcoats lol
Villain personified lmao
Same edge is the 🐐his rated R days were the best days
Damn we really had Edge and Randy Orton terrorising WWE during the same time period
💯 Bro
@nemo pouncey i thought rated rko literally killed ric flair with the conchairto that was terrifying
Nobody is as terrorising as Terra Rising in the Ruthless Aggression Era.
@@Sacrilege83 Underrated comment lmfao
@@Sacrilege83 this comment takes the cake
I absolutely HATED Edge during his years on Smackdown feuding with Taker, Jeff, Batista, and Rey. Every time he showed up, you knew someone was gonna get screwed over.
💀
Especially in 08
Without a doubt, one of the best Superstars in WWE History!
For real , hated that bastard with a passion ! It’s only around 2010 that I started to like him (and around that time I watched back the attitude era so I saw him being goofy with Christian so my view changed on him)
I legit used to get stressed out seeing his ass on my television 😂
An important detail: Edge was also the FIRST MotB winner, in the very first MotB match at Wrestlemania 21. Jericho invented the match, but Edge established the paradigm for what being a MotB winner was. He was an upper midcard guy they wanted to get to make that final step to main event level, and he was the PERFECT guy for this gimmick.
These days it's basically expected that the Briefcase will get cashed in after a main event match on an already weakened champion, but at the time when this gimmick was revealed, most people expected that it would be cashed in BEFORE the PPV in some contract signing or something, not be an instantaneous deal.
So it could only be a character as disgusting as Rated R Edge, a character known as the ultimate opportunist, who would use the contract in such a unique way, and at the time this was the only way someone could have believably beaten 2005 Cena. Edge was the one who ended John Cena's first ever world title reign as well, which is a feat in and of itself.
But the way he carried that briefcase around all the time, the way he reminded you that he was ticking timebomb lurking in the shadows at any moment to take the babyface champion's title, he was the one who set all those precidents for the MotB we know today.
And it was his idea. He's the one who pointed out to Vince that would make more sense for his character if he took the easy way and cashed in on a weakened champ.
There's a reason Cena once called him the "Einstein of our business"
It should have been earlier. He won King of the Ring in 2001. The Invasion angle definitely ruined his first push. But it honestly turned out for better.
@@OEM1 Nope. Wrestlemania 21 was the first Money in the Bank.
The thing about Edge is when he's evil, he is the worst being you could possibly ever imagine to see. But when he turns face, hes also becomes the coolest superhero. I cried so hard when he retired in 2011, but cried again when he returned 2020. Edge was the reason I started watching WWE, he was also the reason when I quitted WWE. It was never the same without Edge. Now im back at watching WWE, all because of Edge. I love him.
Prime Edge embodied the ultimate heel. He made you want to boo him even more with the heel tactics and taking opportunities whenever it sees him fit. You just appreciate his heel work but back then, you really get into it with the characters. You become invested in them, and commentary is selling it too.
Bandwagon
No matter if you like him or not, Edge always had the best attires. Like any color looks great with his gear
Facts
he always had drip, especially the trenchcoats
Black and purple from 2007/8 🤌🏾
Mad Facts
I'd argue Jeff Hardy tops him, but a close 2nd.
What made him so good was not knowing what he would do next. It made things unpredictable and for the fans it made it SO MUCH BETTER for shock value. From the cash ins, to the returns, to breaking the rules, to sneaking into matches, to LITERALLY HAVING DOPPELGANGERS. It was just peak Heel mystique
I never even knew about the freaking doppelgangers before and when I first heard that I was like WHAT? but that's pretty genius ngl. Man, Edge is pretty ruthless, but also awesome
Edge getting the money in the bank was like Thanos getting the infinity stones
on the flipside can you believe Austin Theory botched his money in the bank soo badly after holding that shit forever 🤣
Amazing comment

First I've heard of this and GOOD. Someone ought to beat the snot out of s man who raises his son to be a white picket fence wigga. Cena being made face of the WWE with that stupid spinner belt was what made me quit watching along with Spirit Squad.
@nemo pouncey Both him and Undertaker had a undefeated streak going into Wrestlemania 24
Cena's dad has been through ALOT...
DOWN GOES CENA
@@John-Stark Rated RKO put John Cena Sr. through hell on 2 seperate occasions: First Edge in 2006 and then Randy Orton in 2007.
Edge is the guy who broke the illusion of wrestling for me. It was late 2007 maybe early 2008 and my family went to a show sitting near the entrance where him and Cena main evented and at one point they’re fighting outside of the ring and he sees little Cena fan me and threw blood on me and my brother. We got to go back stage because of it and he was the nicest dude to us and even signed my Cena wristbands
Did that decrease your enjoyment of watching WWE too?
That’s awesome
He didn’t throw blood on anyone. That’s called a lawsuit

"I'm surprised he didn't like, wrestle in black Air Forces" bruuuuh. I'm done. 😂😂😂
I don’t get that part lol
@@pedromatias7608 It comes from the joke "black Air Force energy" the joke originated as a inside joke about people who terrorize the low income communities. Like, back in the day, during the late 90s to late 2000s. Black Air Force ones were very popular among people that lived in constant chaos. like, constantly fighting, robbing and typically terrorizing their neighborhoods. 😂

Did you ever check out his attitude era matches when he was in a group with Christian and gangrel great stuff

I started watching WWE, more specifically Smackdown, around 2007. In 2008, it seemed like Edge was getting one over on the faces every month. Dude was a savage and a fantastic heel. I'm glad he's a heel again now; that's where he really shines.
This video and the Randy Orton video make me appreciate how terrifying of a tag team Rated-RKO was. They were on demon time 24/7
Gospel Truth
Same i watched 2007 till now
To be fair to his ability to defy expectations, his theme did originally start with the words, "You think you know me, but you don't." Each time you thought you knew he was gone, you didn't.
I done watched this 3 times today and mann bruh it brings back hella memories… I remember when he came back at the royal rumble back in 2010 I think and won .. bruh I was heated asf ! 😂😂 I f*ck with your page heavy bro , I done watched all videos , I be checking RUclips all the time for you to drop 😂💯 shout out from Oakland Ca
Edge has always been my favorite wrestler. As a good guy, he's one of the guys you just want to root for the most and as a bad guy, you'd want to burn him at the stake. And since I started watching just after edge retired, seeing him come back and rekindle the magic is just a sight to behold. Will forever be recognized as a great and with good reason.
How can someone hav alwayse been your favorite wrestler whenhe was already retired
@@staycleandontdodrugs he was in the video games and he was involved with the Christian/orton feud so I knew who he was and progressively got more invested in his career since I never got to see it first hand. Been my favorite ever since.
W. cmpunk was another one wen he was feuding with Jeff hardy. Dat shit broke everyone’s heart ☠️☠️
Growing up as a kid I don’t even remember anybody else having the money in the bank brief case it’s like edge somehow always had it 😭
Back in 2008, my friend had his Taiwanese exchange family staying at his house for the summer and their 11 year old son absolutely HATED Edge. We'd watch SmackDown and he'd be whacking the TV screen with a pillow and screaming "ATA ATA!" (which is Taiwanese-Chinese for "HIT HIM 'TIL HE DIES!") whenever Edge did something heelish.
As a grown man every once in a while I look back and think how Grimey of a person edge was and since I loved the hardy boys as a kid I will always feel for Matt in that situation . But on the flip side I loved his character and for a kid I thought it was pretty cool he got to tounge down a few girls 😂😂

I started watching WWE late 2007 and I remember shutting the TV off almost popping a blood vessel to Edge, his La Familia stable, and Vickie Guerrero on Friday Nights as a kid. I couldn’t do anything to Edge in a video game because my Xbox 360 had the red ring of death and I was a Microsoft gamer. Edge was just best heel IMO because all my friends hated him.

Honestly so glad I found this channel. So much energy and nostalgic moments that I can relate to.
I love your stories. The smackdown thing being your safe place made me laugh a lot.
The 2000s was the best era for the wwe because they didn’t give a shit what the kids thought every match was going to be brutal and you where going to see blood nothing will beat the attitude and ruthless aggression era and this was what wwe truly was not the fake pg product it is today
Exactly that’s what made it for but when they did that PG 2008 era that’s what killed WWE now I think they might be waking up since AEW is around
2000s the most underrated decade of life period
@Q SpeaksFacts I definitely agree, even though I was born on the last year of the 2000s, some people took that decade for granted because it was a new century but really the 2000s seemed like one of the best decades to live in imo
I agree the late ‘90s and early ‘00 were the best eras in general because people were still thinking for themselves not letting govs or tv fakes manipulate them to have specific opinions or points of view; it was the time when people didn’t give a flying bird on what color/ religion/ culture/ ethnicity Other person was while judging them BUT simply on the way and level of an asshole one was; didn’t get offensive over others opinions nor truth as it was hitting them in the face, people were able to handle and deal with their shit not reflecting it onto everything surrounding them; didn’t try to cancel everything that they didn’t agree on strictly because it wasn’t their point of view but fought for the right to know the truth no matter what it was or how painful; had bigger issues and had to make more important decisions than (like those days for example) not knowing which bathroom to use.. - AND WHEN YOU REALLY LOOK AT IT AND GET THAT DEEPER MEANING WWE(/F) ONLY REFLECTS ON HOW THE WORLD - SOCIAL STANDARDIZING AND CULTURAL NARRATIVES WORKES, not the other way around so we can’t blame that loved wrestling entertainment and currant roaster do.. we should ask ourselves HOW DID WE LET THIS HAPPENED FOR THE WORLD TO ACCEPT AS A STANDARD AND MAKING “A TREND” OF BEING OFFENDED BY EVERYTHING, VICTIMIZED AND JUST LETTING TV MEDIA AND GOV POWER-FIGURES MANIPULATE US TO CREATING BOXES AND PUTTING OURSELVES INSIDE- SEPARATED AND CONSTANTLY ARGUMENTATIVE.. that’s why it sucks to watch it nowadays “in the PG Era” with only a few exceptions- its a reflection of reality and how the world works now sadly..
14:26 I seriously hated how small the titles were in those SD vs RAW games. They didn't get the sizes any better till WWE 12' sadly.
Ikr those titles looked like the toy ones lmao
I've been looking for this comment for 10000 years, I can now die in peace knowing someone has the same opinion.
omg i remember edge being savage but u just really reminded me how savage he was
edit: leave it to HHH to show up on someone elses savage video... hhh was the savage of all savages
The funny thing is as an Edge fan. These were some of the best years of our lives. But for us, the story really started in 04'. When Edge decided he was tired of being the King of the Middcard. He won Money in the Bank, and set the standard for the cash in. And created the legendary character of The Ultimate Opportunist. I absolutely loved these years. Good times 🙏👏🥹

Your journalism is top notch!!
I highly enjoyed your commentating/narration
Edge always comes back. He always comes back to do slimy, messed up things. Not even his own neck could stop him because WHAT IS MY MAN EDGE DOING RIGHT NOW AS WE FREAKING SPEAK!
Also, my favorite comeuppance is Batista coming out and beating Edge up and down the ring. Then CM Punk comes out to cash in his own MITB on Edge. I love it. So fitting.

It's funny because Edge was my favorite, and every time you heard "You think you know me..." and your heart dropped, I popped. Those moments that ruined the happy ending at the end of a show for you, those were what made a lame main event awesome for me. Edge was my favorite of the entire Ruthless Aggression era.

Perfect minds think alike my friend! I was 8-9 years old when I first started watching Smackdown! Edge was my first big heel I saw. I always loathed him when I was a heel and thought smackdown was a terrible show every time he's on top at the end of the show. Now at 23 years old, I look back at this memory with a more open mindset and for me, this is my Attitude Era-esque moment. I will forever look back at this timespan the same way a fan of the Attitude Era looks at WWE in 1998-99.
