The last bit about the general looking at aliens and projecting in his mind his will over the aliens (assuming they could actually sense his thoughts in any way) is interesting.
In the whole Dr. Church series, its revealed that if you dope a man with drugs to suppress any sense of fear and fill him with complete confidence and sense of invincibility and put him in front of an alien, the alien actually hesitates from attacking such a man, going instead for someone not doped up.
And then hesitates to attack even the un-doped fellow, if the doped fellow mentally projects an "order" not to attack him.
Aliens do communicate their brainwaves telepathically using cells in their skulls.
Its almost as if the general was preternaturally inferring the same as above.
Her agitation over the eggs being destroyed as opposed to not caring too much about the Warriors is easily explained by a brutal form of nature involving something akin to "You're my responsibility until you turn 18!".
well for her grown up children, she is aware that they are fight capable but she knows her eggs are vulnerable and therefore cannot fight and therefore she gets pissed if they get harmed.
Xenotaris overuse of therefore
Plus she gets 100 Xeno Dollars from Xeno-Prime's welfare office for every egg she lays.

Egg is more important than any drone because each egg has chance to find a stronger species to take over, it understood what the limits were of a human host, but a new egg facehugger can become anything with is invaluable
why do I get the feeling Spear's ending is gonna be being ripped apart by xenomorphs while screaming, "Choke on it"

At that point in the story, Earth was already lost and overrun with xenomorphs. Spears' plan was to cultivate an army of obedient xenomorphs, but it turned out that the queen alien had played him all along. She promptly kills him upon touchdown on Earth and leads her brood off to location unknown.

Ellen Ripley exercised a level of influence over the queen when she went to find Newt
when she aimed her flamethrower at the egg and the queen seemed to "obey" her.

@@loafofbread9400 A deal which Ripley proceeded to break as soon as she was able to escape, torching all the eggs. She knows these things, if she doesn't break the deal first, THEY will.
@@CorwinTheOneAndOnly she didn't break the agreement until one of the eggs near her started hatching, then she gave the queen a "really?" Look and torched them.
I think it was more of a stalemate, if the queen tried fucking up ripley she would have burned the eggs, so tit for tat the queen was actually showing a lot of intelligence by that
Ripley said to the queen: "Leave her alone, you bitch!"
The artwork in those books was top-notch.
It was crap, the previous comic black and white was top notch

Today on the long, long list of bad ideas- training xenomorphs to become soldiers. There is a reason your ancestors never rode bears into battle. learn from their exsample.

The point is, we tried to ride a bear into battle. It didn't work.
Then we tried an elephant. It had mixed results.
Then we tried horses and we're like, hell yeah!!!
It's all about persistence. The idea that "one day we will figure it out if we just try again."
Don't tell me you wouldn't want to ride an armoured xenomorph into battle, while holding a yautja plasma thrower, screaming at the top of your lungs.
Ancestors of Indians didn't use Elephants because they were too dangerous until they weren't, they were domesticated for military and other uses. Sure the original Alien from the Alien Cinematic universe was dangerous and use for military seems like a drunk person's pipe dream, so was the conquering of Elephants to an ancient ancient Indian. Eventually humanity could mass produce the means of suppression of an Alien's natural senses and force the Xenomorphs the work for us, as we have done for so many eras for other animals.
Cobus Le Roux- No. It's not that simple. Animals need to posess a very strict set of charitaristics to be domesticated. Horses posess these charictatristis. Zebra for exsample don't. That is why humans didn't ride out of africa on the backs of zebra to conquor the world.
Javier Powell Elephants cannot be domesticated. They can be tamed. It's not the same thing.
I suggest you both watch this. It can explain things far better than I can.

Dam, this was fun. Was just convinced to attain these comics myself now.
The comic books are good, but you may be better served by purchasing the novels based on the original Dark Horse comics. The writers of the comics didn't foresee that Hicks and Newt were to be killed in Alien 3, so the novels change Hicks to "Wilks" and Newt to "Billie" and go from there. They're really fun reads. "Earth Hive", "Asylum", and "Female War".

I find it striking that in this series, Humans seek control. Aliens seek survival.
Hicks and Newt are the ones that learned. They seek survival.
As a Brit who usually has an aversion to American readers pacing and pronunciation, you do an excellent job with these.

So what happens when the Xenomorphs inevitably find a way to break free? When there isn't a thick sheet of plexiglass in the way to protect the general from the queen when he threatens her eggs? My guess is that this experiment doesn't end well for the general, if nothing else then based on the fact that experiments involving live xenomorphs pretty much never end well for the one carrying out the experiment.

Well he is not really that bad of a person his methods are questionable but he did have a understandable end goal to take earth back from the aliens and be a hero

I think that the Xenomorphs in Alien and the Flood in Halo are the most "credible" and well-detailed bio-threats to humanity ever conceived.

I wonder if a good first step would be impregnating a DOG with a facehugger as your base rather than a human. I dunno too much about the xenomorphs, but perhaps fragments of the canine relationship with humans might make them see us as similar masters.
I really just want the movie “Alpha” but on an alien planet with a lone space marine and an injured Xenomorph Dog.
There is an Alien movie where a facehugger infects a dog. the xenomorph acts like a dog when moving, walking on four instead of two.
