I love this creature design and im really glad they went back to the original Space Jockeys. I always wanted to see what a xeno born from their race would be like. The Deacon didnt really cut it for me. There was also a Jockey xenomorph in the Nintendo DS game Aliens Infestation. Pretty good game too.

I love this design in the concept art. The way I see it, the Engineers are an all too-anthropomorphic betrayal of the franchise. The creature in the chair, in alien, wasn’t a giant Greek-statue in a suit. It was insectile, reptilian, biomechanical, and was fused to its chair. A marker as to the inevitable techno-nightmare genetically-engineered and surgical fusion of intelligent life with its technology. This matches that nauseatingly nightmarish, Giger-ish ethos.
Space jockey suit + black goo = xenomorph armor. Oxygen supply(tank) + black goo = acid blood. Face mask + black goo = extra mouth/jaw. The legs were either melted away or fused to the seat
The derelict wasnt built for something the size of the space jockey, its passage ways are only big enough for something slightly larger than humans. Hes not in a chair, he is the chair, he is fused to the ship, he was genetically engineered to be its pilot and there was probably smaller bioforms that actually crewed the ship. This is why i hate scott so much, he took something genuinely alien, a collection of beings that genetically engineer creatures for specific roles like we would design machinery and you know what he turned them into? BIG DUDES IN SUITS AND A FUCKING ROBOT! FUCK YOU SCOTT!

More specifically, the acid melts the helmet and then the goo bonds them. Think about the size of the eggs in the derelict ship. A perfect size for humans not the space jockey...
Loving these old skool format vids, deep diving into Alien and Predator lore like you used to do. Been subbed since about 2016, and enjoy the regular c#nting off of media giants such as Disney (deservedly so) but revisiting this format is a welcome change of pace, cheers 🍻

Finished Dark Descent last week and I really enjoyed the story overall. The last few games we’ve gotten like Fireteam & Dark Descent are 1000% more interesting story wise than Covenant. Might also be cool to do some lore on Cassandra & Harpers connection to the hive too .
Depends on how canon your view is on novels. If they're included, we have Female War and Genocide to go by. There is a hierarchy that goes beyond just Queens. There's Empresses after them, and the Hive Mother/Queen Mother at the very top, each rank larger and larger still than the previous. (H/Q Mothers being shown in some instances as 14+ meters tall!) There's also Kings, sometimes (Mr H has a video on them some time back, i believe).

I know they've been inconsistent in their comic depictions, but the largest of them shown has been near 14+ meters tall. Even this 'Titan' would be on the short side, to that. (although, I guess if we count the tail length for possible height, if it can actually rear up like snakes do.. Or, like a suggestion below 'if this thing actually had legs'! Oh my!) Hadn't gotten a chance to play this game (and likely wouldn't, for money and other distractions. xD ). So it's interesting to see how the story progressed in the end! Good work as always! ^_^
I really wish we could have fought it. Having my bad ass squad stand down for a big game of hide and seek was disappointing. Hopefully more opportunities come in later dlc

Really good Video, didn't played the game so i didn't knew of that. But it's really cool and gives me a vibe of the original Alien mixed with Prometheus. Sady the game is not really my type of game, i think i would have loved it in a third or first person style, but it is what it is. I was under the impression that the Titan Xeno was infact a Titan Queen, hence the giant eggs. In addition to it being overly receptive to the telepath, which was explored in the comics.

Thanks to the toy line, and 3 ( >_> ), we know they can turn other creatures besides just humans in to hosts. Feline, canine, bulls, rhinos, snakes, even friggin Mantis (somehow... O_O ). Regular Facehuggers could get most of the average sized Dinos, and this Titan ver could get the Rex's, and other giants. Actually, digging around, World In Numbers 3D has a video on this. "DINOSAURS and XENOMORPH Hybrids" Haven't looked, but the art in thumbnail is pretty interesting.
personally I believe that the titans that inhabited the "xeno city" on Lethe long ago are a sub-species of engineer likely created by them using the pathogen, as for the titan eggs they could again be linked to the engineers experiments with the pathogen combined with the xenomorphs ability to adapt.
My guess is that the Titan Xenomorph exists to help incapacitate extremely large prey items that the typical Xenomorphs could not deal with. And, because it is from a breed of Xenomorph that is hard-coded to seek out and capture larger prey, even in its facehugger stage, it can be presumed that the Titan strain is almost like a giant anteater, existing to defend the hive from smaller organisms that are deemed as 'pests' rather than actual prey items. So, rather than an adjacent, one-off example of a Xenomorph, I'd wager that the Titan is a specialized breed of Xenomorph exclusive to infestations on worlds with a large population of mega-fauna.
